Thanks Tom, This really helped me out a lot. I had four different trucks that had trailer lights issues, that I couldn't figure out what in the world was going on. I finally traced it back to one trailer that had a short in it.. once I got the short fix on that one trailer. I had to replace the fuse on two GMC and two Ford F250, the GMC was easy. the Ford was really hard until I ran across your video, thanks again.
An intermittent short in the trailer wiring can be tough to find. A simple way is to hook up a continuity meter with an audible buzzer to the circuit and the frame. Then start wiggling every part of the wiring harness you can get to while listening for the buzzer to sound, indicating that the wire has shorted to the frame.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tips you can give me
@Tony Bowen Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
You could have a frayed wire someplace in your trailer wiring. Vibration while driving can cause this wire to temporarily short to a grounded metal part, blowing the fuse. Inspect the wiring harness as much as feasible, paying particular attention to points where it passes through holes, and use electrical tape to cover any exposed conductors.
A large heavy duty needle nose pliers can do it, or you can get a purpose-built fuse puller such as: www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_7822125?cid=paidsearch_shopping_dcoe_google&campaign=GSC-Paint-Body-Equipment&campaign_id=10947560788&adgroup_id=110533803034&adtype=pla_with_promotion&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4v2EBhCtARIsACan3nzk8Twi9djYEyd7c4OpQ10AEJsApwb-PTashSQWAbzTjP6nv_KdBXAaAjBPEALw_wcB&
Go watch another video then. U don’t even thank the man for his time and effort? All you had to do is type it in this man spent probably 2 hours total making this video. Ungrateful swine

The normal location for fuse “map” is underside of fuse cover.

What if it’s only one side?
what did you use to pull those fuses out? I feel like I am gonna break it trying to get them out
