Was just mid-watching this video and seen the news of Novak pulling out, crazy how the RG draws have worked out for Casper in these last 3 years, also reminds me worryingly of Nadal's withdrawal in Wimbledon 2022 but I guess we'll wait to see how Novak does in the 2nd half of the year to see if the consequences are the same. I get the sense now with his extra rest that the final will once again be Ruud getting cleaned out by the guy on the other side of the draw lol, you reckon Zverev will still make it through? Interestingly I back Sinner more over Carlitos to take it especially now off the back of him becoming no.1 which means my final picks will be the reverse of yours but wouldn't be surprised either way ofc, just hope their collision course match won't fizzle out like the de-facto final SF from last year where Carlitos cramped up. Either way really excited to see how this one plays out!
Yeah I'm sure Casper will play the semi tough regardless (and be heavily favored if it's demon) but definitely think Zverev's game is in a better place than a yr ago at this tournament where he actually has the extra gear again that Casper doesn't. Ofc Zverev being Zverev I think there'll be the typical wild fluctuations since neither demon nor casper are of that tippy top elite tier of big 3 + Raz and Sinner whom he seems to almost always bring his best against. Yeah Sincaraz will probably be a coin flip since they both seem to have shaken any health concerns can definitely go either way just hanging in with Alcaraz being the more seasoned clay court player at this pt but not much else separating them since Sinner's played quite well this tournament and is riding the wave of confidence of his sustained winning since October plus securing number 1 as you said.
