Is there any difference between these 2 lenses? Two fixed wide angle lenses with Canon FD mount, two versions of the same lens, which one should you choose?

I have the S.C. version and have no complaints. It's a very good lens that I got cheap ($10) due to fungus, then cleaned and serviced it myself. Bargain!
I used both a 50 mm f 1.8 new fd lens (the black one) and a SC one. The only differences I found are that in the black one the focusing ring is way smoother and easy to move while the diaphragm ring is made of plastic, harder to move and clicky. On the SC the focusing ring is slower and you need more turns to get from minimum to infinite but the metallic diaphragm ring is way smoother and easy to operate while you keep the camera up to the face.
