Perfect one to ask this question: I accidentally shoved the ejector pin into the hole in the bottom of the phone (microphone/speaker opening?) instead of the SIM card tray hole… Do you think that I could have damaged anything (waterproofing, that rectangular component on the USB PCB looking like a crystal, etc.)?
Most likely you did not damage it. Its a solid piece (the square/rectangular gold colored piece on the mainboard). Also you will be safe most likely with the water resistance as well, its too small of a hole to worry about.
Hello. If I remove the back cover of the phone, should I re-glue the edges or can I just install it without glue? My back cover is a bit loose. Thank you.
Hi, you would need to apply new pre cut adhesive for the back. Here is the part you need: www.mobiledefenders.com/samsung-repair-parts/galaxy-s-series/galaxy-s20/adhesive-back-cover-for-galaxy-s20-5g.html
What kind of adhesive to you apply to put it back together? I have a waterlogged S20 that needs to be opened up to dry out, but I want to make sure I can get it back together.
There is a metal bracket holding them in place. Once you take the phone and have access to it, you just need to pull up on the metal bracket in the slot where the keys are and pull it out then that should free the buttons to fall into the frame to remove them.

Hi, with water damage it's difficult to pinpoint the issue, could be a burned out resistor or chip for the sim reader or corrosion on the contacts that need to be brushed off etc. But this website has original parts available for the phone, but not sure if its the parts you will need. www.mobiledefenders.com/samsung-repair-parts/galaxy-s-series/galaxy-s20.html?
So far, so good. You've explained everything well, but I don't know what the thin cable on the outside right is, the one that goes from the speaker to the mainboard. And what is the box under the front camera? Also, the fingerprint sensor was not shown, which I'm currently having an issue with. The fingerprint sensor works intermittently. For example, it loads to a certain percentage and then stops and hangs there. Additionally, I often get a message saying I should make sure the sensor is not dirty or wet. Do you have an explanation for this? Thanks in advance.
