The only thing he is fighting here is his ego and he is losing the fight, he is 36 years old wasting his life sniffing Tyson Furys shorts. Francis is asking for a contract that even Conor didnt get, Francis isnt a big draw and other fighters currently are doing better than him in ppv numbers so why the fuck will the UFC give him a contract that no one ever got? be realistic, stop this delusional bullshit.
To be clear no promotion in the existence has ever given such a contract, not even companies that are not related to MMA. If you sign for a company you work for that company, not others.
If you are an employee, not if you are an independent contractor

I don't see deals changing until every champ refuses to fight until demands are met. it's difficult in a sport like MMA, but collective bargaining is the strongest way to position oneself into a fair contract. I hope as many fighters on the roster as possible see what Francis is fighting for, and join in that fight.

I work in the Film industry (VFX) and when I hear Francis talk about his contract, I FEEL it. I live it but instead of fighting, I work 110hrs a week to get screwed over by the company I do nothing but help. I am happy Francis chose freedom, one day if I have money, I will too. I do get that what I do is nothing in comparison to fighting, sleep deprivation & trying to work out why assets are so far from 0 point that I am getting round off errors is relatively simple, MMA is not at all simple and I am just meaning contractually, I get it.
It is easy to see why fighters take crappy contracts, just like VFX artists, we see the bright lights and more so, the $$$.. When you have always been nothing to nobody your whole life a decent bit of $$$ and some bright lights will make you ruin your life before you are wise enough to see what you did.
I am from NZ so a big Izzy fan and I am blessed to be alive in the time of the THREE KINGS!!!

I would love to see a breakdown video of the legal and ethical issues surrounding fighter pay explaining each side's positions.
Feels like his manager in some personal crusade, not having Francis' interests as his priority. I know, he says he is, but while Adesanya and Usman are getting good money, Francis is stuck in this battle.
