Disclaimer: Even though I am doing a walk through of Lisa Papez's new deck I am in no way saying that she believes as I do. These are my opinions only. I am doing a walk through of her gorgeous new deck because it was my most recent Kickstarter deck. 💖
These are all such great points!!! Yes, things can totally come up that are outside the creator's control but communication is *always* within the creator's control. I think another reason I like to back projects by people who back others' projects is because then I know that they have been a backer and know what that's like - they're more likely to see things from a backers point of view - and understand stuff like how important it is to stay in touch and keep people posted. 90% of the time, Kickstarter backers are super patient *as long as* you are responsive. Most of the complaining comments I see on Kickstarter are people saying "even if there's no news - or bad news - just keep us informed!". This was all really good advice! And thanks for the kind words! 🥰🥰🥰
I love Your Unicorn's Journey Tarot Lisa 🥰It's so good!🥰It came out even better than i had hoped for and it was the easiest project i ever backed! Well done! 🤗🤗❤❤Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤❤
Thank you so much Rachele for doing this video! As someone who has never backed anything on kickstarter before, this was really helpful for potential future backings! 🧡
Thank you so much sweet lady. The majority of my experience on Kickstarter has been very positive, however there have been a few times now that it hasn't been, so I just wanted to share. Hopefully this will help someone in the future navigate that platform with a little more understanding. ❤❤❤
I'm sure you will still be able to grab some of her decks soon if you desire. I put a link in the description for her website for updates. Thank you darling. ❤
Thank you for this video. I appreciate the information because I never backed a deck but I'm interested in starting. What a beautiful deck you showed 😍
Thank you so much sweetheart. It is just a few things that I have found with my experience with them thus far. The majority of my experiences have been very positive. Sending you love always beautiful. ❤
Great video! I love Lisa’s deck so much! I wish I could have gotten the standard, but I love the mini to pieces. She ran a perfect KS - I love how much she kept us in the loop for every step. 😊💛✨
These are really great tips. Thank you for sharing! I’ve definitely become more cautious after a recent bad experience. Honestly was hesitant in the first place and didn’t follow my instincts. Bad move. Always trust your gut instincts!
OMG... the mini is sooooo cute. I think the secret to any crowd funding is not to jump in uninformed. Some artists are really great at communicating, and others are kind of quiet. Just because they are quiet doesn't mean they are not doing the work. Slow and steady also brings you a deck. I agree that social media presence is a really nice way to check an artist out. Key to me, and I believe Lisa also gives this advice. The artwork has to be finished before I back. Granted, I haven't backed nearly the quantity you have, but I have never had an issue. Sometimes, it takes a long, long, long time (hi Bonestone and Earthflesh!), but yeah, people with a long-term social media presence are more likely to protect their reputation.
I completely agree, however I do think that keeping the people informed is one of the most important aspects of running a kickstarter campaign. It is the ones that are not regularly updating, that can leave a whole bunch of uncertainty for those backing the project. Because many people have been burned by these campaigns, so a little communication goes a long way in easing those feelings. Thank you sweet lady, you are appreciated. ❤
I do love Kickstarter and I love supporting others when I can. I have had a few bad experiences but the majority has been very positive. Lisa's deck is so cute and there new one that is coming out is also super cheeky and cute...LOL ❤😂😍
Oh congratulations on backing your first deck! It is a wonderful platform, and I love supporting others in their creative pursuits. I am so pleased that you found this useful. Thank you so much. ❤😍❤
Another tip, if this is not a creators first campaign you can go back and look at the comments from their other campaigns to see if there are any red flags.
I’ve been away for quite a while, so it was lovely to come back to see this video of yours full of great advice! I haven’t yet been able to back a deck on Kickstarter, and watching this eased my nerves at the idea of doing so and gave me some very helpful details to look for as well. Also, I absolutely loved the flip through of Lisa Papez’s beautiful new deck! Ooh, and the jewelry you described making sounds positively stunning. I hope you’re doing well, Rachele 💜✨
Well hello there sweet lady. So nice to hear from you again. I hope all has been well with you. Lisa's deck is so cute and such beautiful quality. Thank you so much for watching. ❤❤❤

Thank you so much darling. I do love Kickstarter, I have just become more watchful as of late because of being burned a few times now. ❤❤❤
