- As a huge fan of Naoki Urasawa’s work, 20th Century Boys is one of my favorite manga and I wanted to do an animated tribute of it.
The music is also written and composed by Naoki Urasawa, it’s the intro of the Kenji song named “Bob Lennon”.
Huge thanks to my brother for helping me by animating 2 shots, they turned out to be my favorite shots in the video.

@@athul0022they are both amazing in their own ways honestly. Some people prefer monster, some prefer 20th century boys. I think they are both equally as amazing and it is hard to decide between the two! It is up to your taste, besides it is made by the same author AND it is fantastic

I watched it for like 55 times but it still feels so unreal

Who was the studio that worked on pluto because they can def pull this off 100%. I want to see 20th century boys anime become a reality and if it does idc when even if it is in 10-15 years i could die happy no cap.
@@MusashiHeadSplitta masao maruyama founded studio M2 just for the porpose of making Pluto, it took like 8 years in making it, anime like pluto and monster are not mainstream therefore it's very hard to find studio or producers for these kind of projects, But im pretty sure that someday it will get adapted and i can't wait for that day
no piece of art has ever made me feel more deeply in three seconds than the transition from Kenji as a child, to a young man, to an aging adult. holy shit

幼い頃からこの漫画家の韓国ファンです。いつか他のどんな作品よりもぜひアニメで制作されてほしい作品です。個人的に「モンスター」よりこの作品が好きなら。

I have never even read the manga but have really been wanting to get around to it, and somehow this video makes it feel like 20th Century Boys has just always been my favorite manga. Don't know how to explain it, but its just like this story is a best friend I've always known but have yet to meet. So I've been watching this vid on repeat. Such an amazing piece of art!

I finished reading 20th Century Boys about a week before you first posted this video, and when I watched it I was absolutely mind blown. It ignited something within me - hope for the future, perhaps? I’m not quite sure, but I can tell you one thing that’s for certain: I will forever marvel over how such a beautiful, touching, and humble masterpiece as this video came to be.

This is so bafflingly good it transported me to an alternate dimension where the series was actually getting an anime. I'm just stunned. When I saw the thumbnail for a split second I thought they were actually doing it.

Daaaamn, this looks just so beautiful, the animation looks so clean and well done, and the colors, the characters... it looks like if it was made by some big studio like Mappa. This amazing story deserves an animated adaptation with this level (10/10 i would say), thank you so much for gifting us at least these seconds of a 20CB animation, i hope some day we can get an anime of this manga that looks this good, it would be my dream

I'm glad to see this on UA-cam, too, and not just Twitter! This is such a brilliant and professional-level tribute, with fantastic transitions, movement, staging, and, well, *everything*. I'm not surprised to see Naoki Urasawa himself commented on it (and congrats on that!) I love that one shot with Kanna, Chono, Koizumi, and Kamisami - they look like they're having a fun outing together (and at friend land of all places, haha). As a big fan of 20th Century Boys, thank you for making this!

While the Animation in itself is stupendous….it’s the music that actually gets me! “Bob Lennon” makes me feel so nostalgic about 20th century boys and reminds me of what a masterpiece it is. Please give us more of this!

I don’t follow anime/manga channels or people, I don’t use social media besides UA-cam and I had no idea what this was. But one day it just kept being shown over and over in my recommended videos, so after not bothering I just clicked this little video…. Thank you for showing me now what has become probably my favorite manga of all time.
I finished 20th Century Boys recently and am now rereading it and taking notes but I just have to say your animation is so beautiful and smooth. It does the manga justice, also I'm so glad you included Otcho jumping through the window of all the scenes you could show, that scene and him reaching up with the radio to convince Kanna Kenji was alive are probably 2 of my favorite momentous scenes (though I'm probably biased because I love Kanna and Otcho so much)

Incredible work! You've absolutely nailed Urasawa's designs, and if there ever was an animated series, I can only hope it'd look as good as what you have here.
Pluto was great, but there were some production elements that felt slightly at odds with the manga's tone. And what impresses me here is how much each style choice works together to sell the vibe.
The sad thing is if the anime came out it wouldn't be as pretty as this. Amazing work.
