I know y'all never want to recommend debt, but there is no way I would sell my house before a serious surgery in another country. I'm not going to add stress to my life and delay the urgent surgery by preparing my house to sell, dealing with all the house tours, realtors, inspections, closing, packing, uprooting my family out of their home and moving to an apartment, unpacking, etc. I would take a Home Equity loan or personal loan and then figure out how to pay it back as fast as I could. Sorry not sorry
It’s possible that she neglected to mention certain details of her “medical history” (shall we say 🙄)… which made her ineligible in a past application, so she’s pretending not to be concerned about having or not having it.🤫
The truck driver’s daughter is only age 16, not 18 !!!!!! You guys are saying she's 18, and pre college. Your advice misunderstood the dad. Dad, there is a big difference between a girl high school age 16-a sophmore in high school, and age 18-pre-college and done with high school. The daughter in s only 16!!!george and jade, you need to change your advice to the dad
Ya, they totally missed on the trucker. He's a single dad now. He's gotta be home. Maybe he can work out some sort of joint custody thing so the ex helps with the daughter for a while?
💯 agree. They gave that father bad advise! Even if she was 18 and dad wanted to spend 1-2 years with her before her goes off to live her live and never have the opportunity to have that bonding time again.
The caller going to Med school: highly unrealistic advice! It would have been more reasonable to encourage him to look for some grants or scholarships to supplement the expenses. Clearly he wants to minimize his debt responsibilities but telling him to take semesters off or work through MED school is insane. The dude had over $60k saved which tells me he is responsible…let’s factor that into the overall advice! He will have options…I hope he explores other advice!
This team needs to STOP giving bad advice to those situations in which they have no experience. All they can do is parrot the "Ramsey way," even in situations where there is no fit. A person with a low income and huge debts is what started this show - and those people they can still help with their advice which is simplistic but works: establish a budget, tackle your debts one at a time, remain focused until you get out of debt, avoid large car loans, etc. What they are NOT good at is giving advice to professionals in career areas they know nothing about, and also not being willing to acknowledge that any other investing options besides mutual funds are beneficial. They are also very insulting in insisting that couples who keep at least part of their finances separate are "living like roommates." My husband and I have had both joint and separate accounts for 52 years, we are still happily married, and we certainly don't live like roommates! They don't make money off their simplistic advice - they make money off all the groupies who they talk into buying the books and signing up for all their programs, as well as seeing their investor and real estate pros (who give the Ramsey folks a cut for being on their lists.) There is no "one size fits all" in finance!
Most people CANNOT pay cash for medical school. Let’s be realistic. And the woman with the neurological condition said she can go blind and no compassion was shown. Rachel should have been on this episode. I remember there was a lady who called who had cancer and towards the end of the call Rachel said something like, “You know what, do what you need to fight for your life and deal with the debt after.” I respected her for that.
I don’t understand how his ex wife took everything? What judge would allow that in a divorce? There has to be some sort of equity in division of assets.
@@BP_PE90 He said he "didn't pursue it" which leaves more questions than answers. Unemployed for 3 months he's waiting for the right job while piling crippling debt. The med school call response was terrible. You cannot take a semester off unless you are in trouble. The guy should have taken the federal loan for tuition and try to use his cash for living expenses. He will be fine when he is finished

Lady in need of surgery - DO NOT sell the house and uproot the family. Drastic times call for drastic measures. Borrow the entire $50k UNSECURED, as many credit cards as you can get, schedule the surgery asap, then call back the show in 6 months to figure out how to pay it off. $50k is not insurmountable. No one’s gonna blame a sick lady borrowing for important brain surgery. Best of luck!
I agree to borrow the money, but not by taking out a bunch of credit cards. You can get personal loans from banks or credit unions for these things, and it will be much less risky.
The caller going to med school, consider going into the military, to.have them pay.for it. There is also Indian Nations who will reimburse loans if you work on a reservation for a couple of yrs. Look into opportunities to have your med school paid for.
Not great advice. As an M.D., I guarantee you doctors do far better in private practice than any form of government employment. You can pay off student loans in no time if you pick the right specialty and work in private practice. This is the way for most docs. Lifetime salary potential is sooo much higher in the private sector.
@bluedevil0133 there are benefits to military life. Active duty in the medical field often choose quality of life over a higher salary. They have time with their family, not over worked/stressed, not paying off loans for years, not having to carry high priced insurance, just to name a few.

@@Tannermaverick0022 yes. Jade asks too many questions that result in needless rambling... Jade: "What was wrong with the car?" Caller: rambles on and on with irrelevant detail... Three minutes later, the conversation hasn't moved forward.
I like each of them individually, but when they're together I feel like they miss some empathy or something. They don't get to the deeper issues. It's like they're trying to outdo each other's cleverness.
Jade is a clear diversity hire from when the student loans chick left because people were tired of "just get free money like I did for just being a black woman" shtick.
Brain surgery lady was fluent in Yap-anese. Needed to spill her whole life story just to ask her question. Said she did FPU years ago wanting a pat on the back just to say she uses CCs, finances trucks, and took out a loan to buy a business she didnt even need
So glad to know I'm bilingual 😂 yeah I do have cc for our business which are paid off monthly and prevent employees from having access to our business account. Yes, I do have truck payments because that's what had to be done to keep the business income flowing in and doubled our income. Knowing the where we are at financially allowed them to give me some guidance. You take on millions of dollars in health expenses and constantly hemorrhage money and see where you end up. We've survived a storm most would go bankrupt over because we worked the program before I got sick. Them knowing all the intricacies of our situation was vital to them giving us advice on where we go from here. You're pretty hard-core sitting behind your keyboard.
Jade always manages to stay grounded in her focus. She’s shown her best these past few weeks by being able to maintain that focus even while working with the very distracting but delightful Ken and Dr. John. Thank goodness for the adult in the room! 😂
You have no idea how many times my husband has considered moving us to another country. Honestly though we have health insurance the biggest issue is my condition is so rare that few doctors are willing to do the procedure
SHE IS OPERATING ON FEAR AND JUSTIFYING BIG TIME GETTING INTO DEBT. SHE NEEDS TO BE LESS EMOTIONAL AND MORE RATIONAL IN HOW TO FINANCIALLY PREPARE FOR HER HEALTHCARE.
What if the cost of health insurance is more than my mortgage payment? Correct me if I'm wrong, but being homeless is a lot more hazardous to your health than not having health insurance!
@@richardfederico9461 grow up? lmao most the shows I seen they almost always say sell your house rent and buy later. With houses going up for years I doubt later will be better to buy. I will never sell my house if I can't pay any other bill I be working at McDonald's and getting that house paid off. Not sure why I need to grow up cause I think this part of their advise is about as dumb as hell. I wonder how many sold the house and now they regret it hard.
Dave is enjoying his success. You better resign yourself to the fact that the other hosts will be doing most of this show. Dave has his own Entre Leadership show, along with enjoying his time with his wife.
One of the things that bothers me is when the hosts have to ask questions of someone over and over. Is it that they don’t listen or are they so worried about the tidbit of wisdom that’s about to come out of their mouth that they’re not focused? During the call at 51:45 both of them asked about his living situation. The answer was the same both times… I rent.
I went without health insurance for 15 years and yes it's worth not paying the money. But I also had no issues no accidents so it's a risk you take. Considering even with the insurance your bill might be horrid in case of accidents I think it's worth not having it because either or you end up bankrupt if you have an emergency. Car and house insurance are mandatory.
We're trying 🤞🤞 we raised about 20k that paid for the trip to Spain for diagnostics. Now its just a matter of making it through the surgery. After that I'll be all better and we can go back normal!
The couple living in the 1 bed part of the house wanting to have another kid and the old lady hogging the three bedrooms upstairs. She is one selfish cow, they bought 40% of her house so she could stay there and not lose her house, i reckon she owes them a bedroom at least for her own grandchild!!! WTAF?
Erin in Dallas is annoying. Sorry but dang what a princess ha. Sickening. Y’all need to start giving a bunch away to those in need!! Prayers for y’all.
Jade, STOP, JUST STOP telling future physicians that they can take a semester off from medical school to work to pay future costs. Apparently you, and the other hosts, do not read the comments from people who KNOW MORE THAN YOU DO. Try to learn something from others, although I do realize you are likely bound to give only the RS "solutions." Any medical degree - physician, vet, pharma, etc. - works on a COHORT system. Your space is save the the duration of the program and courses must be taken in a certain order. THIS IS NOT LIKE YOUR COLLEGE DEGREE OR THAT OF ANY OF THE OTHER HOSTS ON THE RS SHOW. Once a future physician drops out for a semester to work, the space will NOT be saved for him or her to come back later. The reality is that any medical school for these professions will involve some debt for at least 90% of those seeking those degrees. They can quickly pay it back later by avoiding lifestyle creep and/or joining the military, and other solutions that have been pointed out MANY times on this show. I have dropped off from listening and commenting as of June 12, but I had to go back and pick this up from the day I was listening in the airport.
Heres my gripe about the med school call. They always tell these students the same thing...cash flow it, take a gap year....neither of which work in the long term. Also they NEVER hook these students up with financial peace, anyones book, or a financial coach. Its like the Ramsey show is biased against helping med students. They didnt give good advice at all with this student.
I feel like i'm this situation George's emphasis on the $1,500 credit card balance for the girls business, who needs to have the surgery or she'll go blind, was extremely poor taste, unnecessary and not even the focus of the call. Shame on you George. just because you're right doesn't mean that should have been your main point of focus.
The trucker guy is confusing himself and not making the right decisions. His explanations are just as disorganized. There's no magic money tree. He needs to go back to your long haul routes like they said.
16k a year for health insurance you can pay cash to go to a doctor at that point wtf kinda of stupid. why if you make 25k a month are you in debt? wtf and why are you paying 16k for insurance? you dont have job health care? I hate american for profit health care.

Doesn’t take anything seriously, and blames everyone else for his problems like his previous wife, and also makes excuses for every single reason why he can’t just go get a job and get some money coming in. Even the way he talks there is a certain level of Snark in his tone the entire time.
Yeah, I had to fast forward through that call. Ugh (or, "oof," as George would say)!
Right, like when they suggested Uber and he sarcastically dismissed it because it would add miles to his lease. People like this have zero accountability for their own actions.
Car salesman, dude is sleezy and manipulative for a living
@@focojeepr😅
59:00 Erin was really annoying
She SURE was!
The worst
Erin from Dallas: what on earth would convince you that there's such thing as RISK, would you need to get an actuarial degree?
It was really difficult to feel sorry for Alex. There was something in him that kept screaming BS
The car dealership man sounded goofy acting and not interested in any advice, why call ? Get off your can and work anywhere not comfortable to keep from becoming more broke. You have nothing
Jade is so beautiful!
She has a very beautiful smile and spirit.
Hallelujah!!!! The daily jesus devotional has been a huge part of my transformation, God is good 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻was owning a loan of $47,000 to the bank for my son's brain surgery (David), Now I'm no longer in debt after I invested $8,000 and got my payout of $270,500 every months,God bless Christy Fiore 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸..
Thanks to my co-worker (Carson ) who suggested Ms Christy Fiore
She's a licensed broker here in the states🇺🇸 and finance advisor.
I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of UA-cam videos about it but I still find it hard to understand
So nice to see Christy Fiore talked about here, her good works are speaking already, and like wildfire she's spreading.
Hallelujah! God still works wonders, I place myself in position for such miracles and testimonies 🙏
Why do y’all think you can cash flow med school or take semesters off? It’s literally not possible. Please think and be realistic with your responses instead of just saying “debt is bad”.
There is no way he can cash flow medical school. Telling him to do a gap year is the worst advice ever.
Legit Dave ramseys one fault!!!
Then he shouldn't go based on the Ramsey plan. You don't go to school unless you can pay cash or get a full ride scholarship
@@BJCyberCloud so are they supposed to have 200k saved to go to med school?
@@Tannermaverick0022 yes. Once he's out of debt and saving $10,000 to $20,000 a year he can cash flow it or he needs to go to a school that will pay his tuition through grants, scholarships, and fellowships. It's true that he could get loans and make a lot of money as a practitioner to just pay them back but what if he doesn't finish school, doesn't pass his exam, or finding the high paying job takes longer than expected? He still has the debt.
Jade asks too many questions that result in needless rambling...
Jade: "What was wrong with the car?"
Caller: rambles on and on with irrelevant detail...
Three minutes later, the conversation hasn't moved forward.
That’s on the caller who’s making excuses not to do what’s offered
Jade and George should never host together, whenever they do it is a mess
😂😂😂
All the cohosts talk in circles and take forever to get to the point. Dave is too short, especially with women
I like each of them individually, but when they're together I feel like they miss some empathy or something. They don't get to the deeper issues. It's like they're trying to outdo each other's cleverness.
Just missing the wisdom that only comes with experience.
Jade is a clear diversity hire from when the student loans chick left because people were tired of "just get free money like I did for just being a black woman" shtick.
Love George. Jade’s conversations make me feel icky.
O, no. Miss you Dave
None of these people are going to take their advice.
🔥 show as always. Really like these hosts.
None of these young guys come to the table with much. Fellas make some money, get motivated hustle! Time to do and not ruminate.
I love Jade
Jade always manages to stay grounded in her focus. She’s shown her best these past few weeks by being able to maintain that focus even while working with the very distracting but delightful Ken and Dr. John. Thank goodness for the adult in the room! 😂
I’m making beans and rice at this very moment! 😛
Alex is delusional. Can't be a good "manager" if you can't see that you need to go into sales and make 100k+ as a individual contributor.
No wonder he is out of job, he probably ran his last dealerships into the ground.
He probably filed bankruptcy as soon as he was off the call with them, some people never learn.
Shout-out to the Pennsylvania wastewater dude! You're my peeps!
Jade😂 the rap in the middle of the conversation is everything, "I can't help myself... love you girl❤
The caller at 28:00 wouldn't be in that situation if the U.S adopted the European healthcare model.
That guy basically paid to have full custody of his son
lol@ knee cap to knee cap🤣
That's an old Dave saying.
Could be 90 or 180 degree angle 😮
Index funds are mutual funds. At least get the terms right. This drives me crazy.
Erin was insane! Are you kidding me? Stop being so privileged 🙄
its nuts how they tell people to sell homes and then buy one later. I would never take the sell my house route ever. just insane.
It’s individual
Grow up
@@richardfederico9461 grow up? lmao most the shows I seen they almost always say sell your house rent and buy later.
Painful! Where, is, Dave! It has been weeks again!
Give it up.....
You don't have to Watch or Listen 😮
Dave is enjoying his success. You better resign yourself to the fact that the other hosts will be doing most of this show. Dave has his own Entre Leadership show, along with enjoying his time with his wife.
Facts just leave bruh
Living like no one else
One of the things that bothers me is when the hosts have to ask questions of someone over and over. Is it that they don’t listen or are they so worried about the tidbit of wisdom that’s about to come out of their mouth that they’re not focused? During the call at 51:45 both of them asked about his living situation. The answer was the same both times… I rent.
I don’t have health insurance. If I have to see a Dr. I just pay cash. But if it is something major then I’m out of luck.
RIP😅
George!
Future physician, please consider medical school abroad-Mexico, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Europe!

He said she would be 18 in a year and a half, so I assume she's 16! I think they missed that.

Yeah this was a terrible response. “Rock and hard place have a hard conversation with your kid.” Terrible. Always be a parent first
@@Red19Rose17 This is going to hit them in like 5 years...
I went without health insurance for 15 years and yes it's worth not paying the money. But I also had no issues no accidents so it's a risk you take. Considering even with the insurance your bill might be horrid in case of accidents I think it's worth not having it because either or you end up bankrupt if you have an emergency. Car and house insurance are mandatory.
maybe she can do a (go fundme) to get her operation
We're trying 🤞🤞 we raised about 20k that paid for the trip to Spain for diagnostics. Now its just a matter of making it through the surgery. After that I'll be all better and we can go back normal!

Another swing a miss on the med school advice.
Medical school IS a swing and a miss.
Man Alex needs to grow up
Ashton has too many excuses and is not open to the advice.
WTAF?
Yes screw taking care of your child. Go back to long-distance trucking because money is more important than your kid.
When did Dave add a baddie to the roster!?
Kia is a terrible product.
The caller making $25K a month….settle down! Just the tone was demeaning. Remember where you came from! Stay humble.
She bragged about going through FPU years ago and then says she uses credit, takes out business loans, and finances vehicles. She can kick rocks
Getting engaged in one year.. good lord.. some dudes are desperate
So listen to George instead of a CFP . Listen to a UA-camr instead of someone that went to sch😂 and studied fiance olus got certified.
Jade don't lose Compassion just because of Money . PETS are Just as IMPORTANT often more than some People. 😤
She says to make sure they are taken care of, wherever that is. This show is about saving yourself so you CAN take care of others.
No, they are not. Jade is right, pets are a luxury and not a reason to cripple your family financially
No they are not IMO. They are a luxury. If you’re broke they should go.
@@focojeepryou sound as nasty as Jade
I can’t stand Jade anymore. Pets are very important to a lot of people. She’s heartless and greedy.
The trucker guy is confusing himself and not making the right decisions. His explanations are just as disorganized. There's no magic money tree. He needs to go back to your long haul routes like they said.
They kept assuming the daughter was 18, but he said she would BE 18 in a year and a half, so he doesn't want to leave a 16 yr old home alone.
They weren't listening to him. He can't leave a teen alone. Two calls in a row they didn't help. What a shame.
@@jossco52 She's almost 17, not 7. And if he can't, then he has to sell his house, pay debts and start over.

16k a year for health insurance you can pay cash to go to a doctor at that point wtf kinda of stupid. why if you make 25k a month are you in debt? wtf and why are you paying 16k for insurance? you dont have job health care? I hate american for profit health care.
