Positano - Preparing for Rough Sea

  • It started off as a quick dog walk, and I was going to go through the Cemetery and along the path the other side. But we noticed the sea was changing and all the boats had been taken away to safe harbours. Our kayaks were close to the sea so I had to go down to the beach and move them away from the shore.
Everyone on the beach was preparing for rough seas and over a couple of hours the waves grew considerably. It is supposed to get really bad in 2 days time so I will keep vlogging!

You are so incredibly lucky & I’m hugely jealous that you get to live in one of the most stunning places on earth! I’d give anything to live there. Pure paradise. I’m glad you film because I’ll likely never get there and this is the next best thing. It’s selfish to ask but could you make longer videos of everything. I especially love watching the storms but seeing all the neat tunnels and walkways around there is so interesting. The little inquisitive boy in me still loves exploring places. Thank you

I make them short because the internet speed is so slow it takes hours to upload!

Quite exciting video Nicki! The sea looked very rough and I was worried for the people who were still swimming and the people moving objects to safety. I hope everyone is safe...Thank you for sharing these moments with us..Looking forward to your next video...Ciao

Wow ! I have great respect for cemeteries and find myself always curious to read headstones and find the lovely sentimental gifts family and friends leave. Where I live there are many abandoned small cemeteries and when you discover the headstones that are covered with weeds and tall grass, you find yourself standing there just quiet and wonder why they were left alone for so long, does anyone remember them at all?. (kinda sad feeling) Some cemeteries are very hard to find so far from roads or houses and while horseback riding or hiking you can come across them. So interesting. This cemetery that you filmed is quite different that any I have seen. Very interesting. At the timeline of 6:13 the water from the sea comes up through a hole on the concrete, is this natural formation or manmade for the sea to release the waves? Thank you for the video. Love your lil doggy and watching her drink from the water fountain =)

Hi Nicki! Thank you so much for sharing life in Positano with your viewers. I feel so lucky to have found your channel (blog first). My husband and I will be traveling to Positano to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary in November and I can. not. wait! Can you please give some insight as to what the weather is like in mid November? Also any places you recommend seeing or places to catch a quick breakfast? Thank you!

I can't predict what the weather will be like, sorry! Try Casa e Bottega for breakfast.

Have you ever tried the prickly pears that are shown growing on the video? They ate incredibly sweet and delicious, we always eat them when visiting my husband’s home in border city of Algeria and Tunisia. Yum!

Capri no rain for about 8 months . The cistern under the hotel was empty for the first time almost in living memory. Now torrents of rain.☔️💦

How safe is it to leave your canoes there just like that, is there like a steel cable with lock to secure it or everyone is just decent and honest? Bikes get stolen in Toronto and even some of those have steel cable to lock it in place.

What a fantastic place to be buried. It looks like a cemetery that all religions can use. Is this where Carlo works. ?

HERE IN THE USA they show us videos of what is going on in Europe and in Italy of course it is very bad presently. Does Positano have a refugee/migrants population too?
