This channel convinced me to pick up a Mister FPGA and after having it for about a week now I can safely say it's retired my Analogue consoles as well as my PS classic. It's just Alot more practical to use since it's alot better for space and less cables to deal with, a staggering amount of features and video filters. Scanlines look Alot better than the ones on the Super NT or Mega SG. I'd really have to think about the last time I've enjoyed a gaming purchase this much!

Yeah, after seeing the brazilian retro scene fully embracing it I decided to cop one for myself. Been running Saturn, GBA2P and PSX for a bit, but finally got to testing N64 with Mystical Ninja all night last night and oh my god I am so alive right now 🥹
Once you go MiSTer it's hard to go back to anything else.

I don't think people realise just how much Taki is about to change the MiSTer market. Theres gonna be a ton of bellyaching from those who've been overcharging... infact there already is.
I try the beta cores- it's nice you can have multiple versions of the same core installed at the same time- then I can switch between stable and test releases.
My capture MiSTer has like 40 N64 cores and about as many Saturn ones haha
Stable and turbo cores for me. I wasn't sure if I'd like the turbo cores initially, now I use them almost exclusively.

Mister is looking pretty good, wish i knew this sooner as i buyed a Saroo and a sega saturn earlier this month and now i dont know what to feel about them 😂

Just tried out the Neo Geo Pocket core for the first time. And yowza that one was not easy to figure out. It's so weird that it's in the Arcade folder! Even just figuring out how to boot games took me awhile. Was fun trying out Cotton on it though.

seen a lot of people weirdly grumpy about not using real hardware on CRTs in the last couple days. I wonder if the algorithm thinks I'm one of them, or I wonder if some big video or article just dropped that set a lot of people off.

i mean... JFG and Conker work now and RE2 was the one game i was interested in seeing working but that got a patch that makes it work too so... i guess look at Battle for Naboo lol though i'm not exactly that invested in seeing that game working tbh but it'd be cool to have another working game

Probably too early to talk about but when I see Sega arcade games running on mister, I can't help wondering if someday we will see Sega System 32 on the mister fpga.

hello all, I just recently got the Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight Ultimate (PSP Script) (English Patched) but it wont load at all. it only plays a japanese spoken audio from the system menu screen. What am I doing wrong? help from anyone would be apprecated! I tried going to discord but got no help…

@@VideoGameEsoterica I’ve tried to patch the original BIN/CUE myself but no luck. I got another version that not the ultimate version and it works but without the enhancements. Frustrating

I love MiSTer, it's been my gateway to retro gaming and enflamed a passion in me. But I got a Japanese Saturn off ebay for 75 bucks and a saroo for another 70 on aliexpress. No complaints so far. The Saturn core has been too much of a hassle for me.
i'm in the same boat tbh. though replace saroo with satiator. saturn with an ODE is the way to go imo but it's cool the saturn core is getting worked on

@@VideoGameEsoterica and i'm looking forward to the day that occurs. it's already shaping up to be pretty good as it is. it ain't perfect, and people that don't wanna see the development of the core would be better off getting an ODE and an actual Saturn but someday... someday Saturn on MiSTer is gonna be THE way to go

I don't get FPGA....software emulation is so close these days can't see why people are so bend on 100 percent accuracy, most people really can't tell the difference. Yes a few obscure games out there have issues but how many people actually play them. Saturn software emulation is pretty spot on with the Beetle Saturn core. Enjoy your 500 dollar hobby.
