I think, as a fellow briar top Main, the appeal comes from the fact you are essentially playing a champ with huge handicaps, such as, not being able to tarde lvl 1-2 having a ult that won't hit 60% of the time, and 30% of the time it hits it connects on some random target that could be even worse than missing ult(hitting alistar rakan , or any tanky support is awful) You also have a champion who cannot orbwalk or Dodge while frenzied, so the timing of Ur engages has to be perfect, all of those handicaps are compensated by a fun ,simple kit wich is all about limit testing, so Yea i Guess it's more attractive to just jump a wall with w then q chomp e into a wall enemy adc, over having to sweat on camille doing 30 auto cancel animations just to deal less damage than fulltank alistar. It's the same thing as, no matter how rewarding learning azir is, and how good outplaying your enemies with him feels, it's always fun to just go syndra or xerath, who have less mobility bust just sink enemy's skull in.
