If anyone finds more/better footage I'll add it to ths pinned comment, by now I'll just use it for some quick observations.
-1:47 This Uzuki image was taken from concept art rather than a sprite that can be found in game. You can see the concept art in question here (Thanks to Sheik0976 for the info!)

-The yellow outline in the numbers at 2:50 is different to the original game where it's white, but strangely enough the outline IS yellow on Solo and Final Remix
so the first mission should have been 10 minutes huh
I love how they reused so many of these ideas in the anime tbh. If only it was longer than 12 episodes and had gotten an English dub with the og voices :(

Neku passed from Emo Egdelord to Soft guy who can hear spirits from what's basically the sleeping world in KH
Nah he's still emo but now no longer hurt by his past

He wasn't an edge lord. Neku was valid in feeling the way he did. And he's still an emo grumpy dork in NEO, just more refined emo. Matured and better in control of his emotions. Even though he smiles more in NEO, there's actually plenty of times you can see him annoyed.
And there are times where he seems distracted or like he's restraining himself in NEO too
@@littenfire3563 my favorite moment of him still being kinda emo is when they face off shiba and he just says 'does it matter?' like he gives no shits lmao
he smiles a lot, but on second notice, he's still almost always quiet and thinking his own thing, except now he's an actual team player (even the way how in the first game he always says 'watch yourself' vs now saying 'everyone, look sharp')
It would've been so cool if some of these were added in the Final Remix version, as a special extra thing for older fans to spot
From what I can make out the Game Masters were meant to be a far more prevalent threat originally, and perhaps with the noise naturally seeking out players, even with pacts (due to the scene where Shiki and Neku are "surrounded.") Neku was going to be a tad more open with Shiki (the "I don't get people" line being a reply to her, and sounding non-agressive.) Beat was gonna be a far more prevalent antagonist than he was, though that could've been trailer bait itself, as we do see Neku and Beat face off in week 2. Also the underpass was either meant to have increased importance or was a placeholder location in development for the cutscenes(?) I'm not a game developer so that's just me throwing shit at the wall as a guess on why. These are just my surface thoughts after watching, forgive the rambling lmao.
I wish these would’ve made their way into either Solo or Final Remix since storage wasn’t an issue anymore but oh well
Huh. I wonder why they cut Higashizawa's landing scene, that looked so good!
Super late but it might've been because they had to work within the DS's memory limits and thought that cutscene was too short and not really important, the DS version didn't even have the full versions of each of the songs as well, Final Remix should have the full versions if they weren't cut from the Final Remix version.

Yeah that's more than likely telekinesis or just flying since a majority of Psychs make you hover in the air
The dude can teleport, float in the air and move at supersonic speed in the game if he has the correct pins. Neku is one of the most powerful protagonists I've seen in a jrpg

the reason they get removed, mostly, was because they could not include animated cutscenes inside the nds cardriges. It's just weird they aren't in the switch version though.
Wish we were in the timeline where twewy was actually popular. Maybe then final remix could have been big budgeted enough to include these extra cutscenes
I would especially hope we somehow find a prerelease build (preferrably one from when it was known as Emotion Edge or when it was just rebranded as TWEWY), there's so many things we could get our hands on, even hopefully some of the lost songs

It does. But it's an older type of gun called a pinfire pepperbox revolver. They just made the gun look more simple for TWEWY'S artstyle

Honestly, i wish they were able to keep the way he kills Neku from the deleted scene, it was quite realistic (or realistic 'enough'), had an important area to the story from the game (Beat's confession over Rhyme's grave...i think that's where he was?), and that smoke effect from Neku's shot into the chest was much more interesting and especially intense. It all fits so well, it's such a shame they couldn't keep it.
I noticed right away the scene with the car and that the people from day 1 would get erased at AMX
