CHRISTIANSBORG CASTLE | COPENHAGEN, JUNE 2020
My overall project this Saturday in June, was to shoot a footage inside Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen, Denmark. Today’s challenge was the light - or more correctly the lack of proper light - inside the castle. I shot this video in 1080p | 30 fps (some in 120 fps), with the native Galaxy S20 Ultra camera and my DJI Osmo Mobile 3.
I’m semisatisfied with the footage because of the difficulties with the light. I think it changes too much from room to room, which is really annoying. The castle is very beautiful and I was hoping to let it come into its own🙄
ABOUT THE PALACE
Christiansborg Palace is both a palace and a government building in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the seat of the Danish Parliament, the Danish Prime Minister's Office, and the Supreme Court of Denmark. Several parts of the palace are used by the Danish monarch, Her Royal Highness Queen Margrethe II, including the Royal Reception Rooms, the Palace Chapel, and the Royal Stables.
In 1731, King Christian VI decided to tear down Copenhagen Castle to make room for the first Christiansborg Castle, but it burned down in 1794. The second Christiansborg Castle was finished in 1828. The castle burned down once again in 1884, and the main part of the present building was finished in 1928.
Christiansborg Palace is owned by the Danish Government, and several parts of the palace are open to the public.

We visited this castle earlier in 2022. It was incredibly magnificent. The woodworking, the furnishings, the chandeliers, the ambience...regal yet welcoming. I was thrilled to stand in the same spot Crown Princess Mary had stood (photo was on display) I hope to revisit Copenhagen soon. Twice is not nearly enough to see all this beautiful city has to offer. ❤

@@ravnen25 ... helt korrekt, men ingen har bort der, siden det brændte ned og slottet blev genopbygget og indviet i 1828, så i det nuværende Christiansborg slot har der ikke boet nogen permanent. Fredrik den 7. brugte det kun som vinterresidens, og efter dét brændte i 1884, har der ikke boet nogen, så det var baggrunden for mit svar😊

Christiansborg castle
The present castle is actually the fifth castle or fortress on this spot.
Apart from the 3 Christiansborgs of which the first burned 1794 and the second 1884 - there are ruins under the present castle - which can be seen - from the fortress of Absalon from the 12. century until 1369 and also the palace of Copenhagen 1370- 1731.
Perhaps the place is cursed?

Sorry for my late response😔 There were only around 5 other people present at the time I was recording, and they were in another part of the palace👍
Quite empty
Nobody lives in that building!!! It is the building of the Danish Government and Parliament. The rooms on display here are only used at official occasions such as State Visits from other countries or major Royal events. Riddersalen, the Royal Ballroom, is where the wellknown woven tapestries created by Bjørn Nørgaard are.
