- Two weeks ago, I spoke on the stage of the Durham Miners' Gala for the first time. I was truly humbled to be asked - the Big Meeting is the biggest working class festival and Europe and such a huge event in the North East. We really treasure it. Film maker Matt Smith has made this film of my speech, which I think really captures the optimistic, comradely spirit of the Gala. I'm so grateful to have played a part in it and will never forget this special day. Labour 2020 is proud to say NO to the looney left.
I have just moved from Lancaster held by Labour MP Kat Smith, Lancaster is under going social cleansing/gentrification. Moved to Morecambe ,Tory MP. Morecambe a seaside town they forgot to shutdown.
I love Laura but what would she do, Andy Burnham ex Labour MP now Mayor of Greater Manchester and head of social cleansing in Manchester .Laura so where are the strong and who are the trusted.
Unbelievably they have voted Laura out. A travesty. I hope she never gives up the struggle for a better, fairer society.
She's extremely bigoted and can't separate political and personal beliefs. Saying she could never be friends with a Tory demonstrates this. That kind of othering of people leads down a dangerous past.
