I don't know if the update changed things but any harvester I run into now can see me from half a mile away and launch it's rockets just as far, and they spawn with two hunters instead of runners. I'm trying to take out one of the Commander harvesters right now, and anytime I kill it's two hunters and manage get close to shoot it from behind, it's sets off an alarm which makes two more hunters fall from the sky drop pod style, I don't remember them doing that before. I started a new game recently after the large update they did and it seems a lot more difficult than before with all these changes, which is saying something. I really wish the level progression was faster, it feels like it takes hours per level up, I'm only level 11 right now after about 20 hours of game play...
Its because you were fighting a boss harvester
@@goliathen1152no, actually, all harvesters are like that now. 'boss', or rival, machines only differ from their non rival counterparts in the durability of their armour and components. harvester escorts are only ever runners on prototype and military class harvesters, and even then it's not a guarantee. more often than not a harvester will have a hunter escort, usually two, but FNIX class harvesters can have a full pack of 8 hunters as an escort. killing off a harvester's escort will cause the harvester to enter a protective state, shielding its body while it summons another escort of the same type of machine as its previous escort.

My tactic: lure it near a tower or church. Hide behind a wall till it stops noticing you and eventually turns its back. SHOOT THE BACK TANKS LIKE THERE AINT NO TOMORROW
These things took A TON of my ammo to kill, I have a rocket launcher now, so it only takes a few shots for me now
HOW?even if i shot at weak spots I need at least 50 HE rocket launcher hits to down that

Harvesters are WAAAAAAYYYYYY more aggressive on PS4. I absolutely cannot get that close to them.
I take mine out with my .50 from about 200 meters when I’m with other people I engage them from about250 meters for suppression and taking out the guns works flawless everytime very rarely do I actually get hit unless like last night in one area there were 6fenix harvesters and 3fenix tanks after about300 rounds of 50ammo and 2 rockets I killed them all and about 20minutes of fighting 😂😂

Forget the hunting strategy, tell me how you got 2000+ rounds at the same time
Invest in the scavenger perk right off the bat to double the amount of ammo you get while looting
A f*ck ton of farming my guy because I have 1000+ and that was from destroying a whole field of tanks and harvesters and hunter and ect
I have 1200 at level 12 scavenger for the win

Well, they fixed his launchers... now they shhot scatter-like wave of bullets, veeeery hard to run away (longer missile attack and during it harvester can change target so it covers even bigger radius...)

Great video, the only thing I would of added was showing components through the binoculars. Each component has a stat on it and you can see the before and after in total health percentage. After I got the hacker skill I realized how you could actually see each individual piece and that helped a lot. Great video as always.
I don't think that comes from the hacker skill it's from the spotting Intel skill

What does hacker do?
@@davidm5172 You can hack the robots to fight for you. So once you collect the Blueprints for a robot you can then hack them for 1 minute. Yet there is only a chance to make it work and that also depends on which level it is. Fnyx have the lowest percentage of working. Prototype have the highest percentage of working.
Ticks and Seekers are between 90% & 100%.
Runner's have between 75% & 85%.
Hunter's are between 50% & 75%.
Harvesters and Tanks are between 10% & 35%.
It's actually a really useful skill and I'm glad I used it because I play solo.
If it works they spark blue, stand there looking confused then starting shooting other robots. They can usually take out a few. Before it's over.
You can sit on a hill looking down and hack them one after the other.
I have thought about adding an in depth component analysis to these videos, but i feel like then i would get caught up talking about a bunch of components that don't really equal too much damage.. and sure i'd be able to be maybe more precise in how much health each component does but i kinda like my guerrilla warfare approach too xD Very good feedback though glad to see someone would want to see me go more in depth than i already do!

11:18 Looks like reactive armor. This is specific anti tank armor. Generally an explosive type that can not harm the tank itself, but explodes to deter an anti tank round. It's impervious to bullets though so shooting it off with a rifle is really silly. But I guess the devs don't know this. Or it's something different entirely.
You make the best,most comprehensive vids on games good stuffs keep it up...it's easy to kill harvesters now!
Thanks for this, got the game recently after a free to play for a week and am loving it. At first i was just running into 1 of these but further up the map was coming into up to 4 at a time in 1 city. I used to run from them but i realize now to this vid the best tactic is up close. Missiles shoot less and have a tighter spread.
This is very odd. I was playing the game with two friends of mine a few times and now we need to abandon it because of the difficulty. I came here to see what we were doing wrong and somehow the enemy behavior was very different. The harvester was constantly spawning those dog things and once we hit him from far away he was onto us. He could spot us through trees and fog and sometimes we were not able to even get in reach because he was firing rockets all the time. In this video, he seems like a slow "harmless" puppet. Also, most of the normal firing of enemies took 1/3 of health away. Maybe it is because of the last update or we turned some kind of hidden hardcore mode on :D
There was a aggro bug, seems to be fixed with the latest patch
@@doemaar8205 for me it looks that is nothing fixed... This game have absolutely no balance... While its really fun to play at start, it gets more and more unplayable over time. The robots spot you over 100 to 200 meters away and hit you with almost every bullet. And not as in the vid above, the harvester always come after you the moment you shot an other robot (doesnt matter you use a silencer) , even if its 100 meters away... (not to mention its rockets hit you without a problem from a long distance...) i want to like this game, but... No, not like this!
You should make an update to this video. They now summon Hunters from the sky.
Ive had good luck with popping the missles first. With the missles up it can be problematic when more dogs show up univited. I suspected that the yellow triangles made good targets, thank you for confirmation
What does legendary scope do
BEEP BOOP the spot outa me that was hilarious
The main benefit is no lense warping around the edges, making it easier to lead shots, but the difference between exceptional and legendary is nominal to say the least :D
And those dang floaty bois, always beep booping our locations -.-'
funny, when i engage one of these the gas area is like 2-3 times larger... same when it stomps...
Same, maybe difficulty? I've played in skirmish and guerilla modes and it's much more difficult to kill the robots than what I see in the video.
@@wannabeaninterpreter sadly this vid seems outdated, they had a major combat update start of april, the author gas a more recent video explaining this.

well the new harvesters are like... WOT. first of all. they spot you VERY fast within their cone vision. suppose you manage to get close to one without alerting it. the thing is gonna turtle and pop out 2 hunters out of its ass. which WLL be shooting at you and in turn, spawn ticks which will be jumping at you. (got have mercy on you if FNIX hunters can spawn which then in turn spawn FNIX tics). so honestly, while dodging a missile barrage and fighting 2 hunters of vareying class. ive concluded this to be literally impossible to consistently beat in a open area. making it a absolute chore to kill them.
The harvester doesnt run away when i shoot its rockets, it just calls reinforcements.
Nicholas Elliott yh its updated now it calls reinforcements but don’t shoot it when it’s doing it when it’s getting out of the pose then shoot the places that tenibis tells you to

@ JAS, try to ambush with 2-3 red canisters with a radio or comm array lure. When then show up, blow up canister. Use less ammo.

Oh my gosh thank you, I wasted a lot. I took on armies of baddies by staying inside a house and I literally had 3 harvesters outside as well. Ugh! Subbed.
Now I know where to actually aim, I figured the joints and the red eye dots were the weaknesses.
Man the houses are so good in the early game but when you start getting late game they can turn into death traps! Cheers dude :D

Bruh smh I've been playing on skirmish through out my whole campaign no wonder harvesters always have hunters around them instead of runners, and why tanks always seem to spawn in pairs of two
am i the only one who thinks harvesters are scarier then tanks because they spam the missiles faster and more often, and the fact they can spawn hunters
My tactic is simple. Experimental PVG + 90 degree angle = blow out all the gas tanks at the same time.
Then, finish it off.
The first time I fought one out in the open I was working on the kill an enemy from 100+ meters away and I was over 150 meters away shooting it with an rpg and the harvester was slightly frozen so he couldn’t move and it doesn’t alert any of the runners or hunter and if it does you can easily prepare
I throw a sticky flare on the harvester and the rocket launching runners attack the harvester and I take the runners out then hit the box on the back
Now they spawn two hunters everytime you take out the hunters...
I always destroy the missile pods first. Those you can even hit while the harvester is facing you, with a precise weapon. Then I blow up the fuel tanks secondly, and the harvester is a goner. :)
Even on the DLC always fuck their rockets up, they really hate that as they will cry and cover their face at random it seems
Once thats over kill its fuel tank and just about any weak spot
Keep in mind they are all the same, the only difference in terms of weakness, is the higher ups have better armor and guns

Can you do an update for this because harvesters are now stupid hard to deal with. The fnix class ones also constantly calling in 2 fnix class hunters at a time which is ridiculous
Why as soon as i get as close to it as you, it's gas runs my health down fast as hell? Besides that my aren't so timid as yours. It's turning and firing and launching rockets like crazy? My runners charge me? What game settings are you using cause is if shermish(?) I got a different game then you. I love your video's and thank you for making them but it all seems slower then my game? They go at you full force. Am I doing something wrong. I go to snipe and they have my position in seconds. No matter how far away I am. Help!

I use this strat: i sneak behind ut, shoot a emp rocket, then i take out the lmg and just spread the f out of its gasoline cells and then i shoot at the rocket launcher on its back it only takes from 5 to 10 second to kill it same thing for wolfes, for wolfes i, sneak behind them, emp rocket and with lmg i destroy rockets launchers and then i aimat weak point in center of him and the eye also, 5 to 10 sec and it dies
My method consists of two players one player stands infront of it distracting it and keeping it from attacking the other player while the other player nails it with all they got in the back
If you just throw a firework at them they get really stiff and you can easily deal with the back gas can and launchers
Another easy method if you don’t have good gear just use emp and shot gun (not birdshot)
I used a firework one time and idk if it a glitch or what the firework does but, the harvester shot rockets down at it self where the fire work was but it was a continuous stream of rockets til it killed itself
how to sum up 15 minuets into one comment, go behind it and soot everything if its sparking blue your doing good same with tanks

@@JohnDavis-mi3kw his comment perfectly sums up the video... you run behind and hit the components if its sparking blue keep firing and if not aim somewhere else until you see blue. that sums up the entire video in just one comment...
It's worth noting that unlike with the Prototype and Military Tanks, you can shoot off the Prototype Harvester's Concussion Pads (the component that allows them to do that shockwave attack) and they will be unable to create a shockwave at all. It shouldn't be all that necessary to do so, but it's a thing to keep in mind!
I've actually not noticed that! i'll have to pick up a pair of binoculars to see where those are but awesome to know. Totally assumed that was just a permanent desperation attack from proto's and the military tank. Thanks for letting me know bout that my dude!!

It's actually that little component sticking out from the side of the leg at 2:29 - 2:31. The other leg has one as well, and both need to be shot off to fully disable the attack. It doesn't do too much damage to the Harvester, so it's up to you to decide how worth it it is to shoot them off, haha.
Gen zero has gotten some updates recently so the ai is much smarter and deadlier
my strategy: get in behind the harvester and...BRANBOLL!!!!!!
I usually either emp it and get its rocket launchers and then hit it in the back with a rocket or I just run around it and do the same
Tenebris Infinite you can actually shoot off the harvesters gas sprayers they are on the side of the legs it's hard to notice the tank of gas which has 9 nozzles for the sprayers all next to each other so you can shoot those off
Is there a way to prevent the harvester from summoning the hunters from the sky? That's the main reason I don't take on harvesters
Leave 1 hunter alive and the harvester wont spawn any more unless it stops realizing the last hunter being there! always leave a hunter that doesnt have the recoilless rifle, because otherwise you'll get sniped out of existence ;)
Videos like this help, if they are up-to-date, but noobs like me need to know how to do this when they are level 10... not level 30 with top tier weapons. Help us to get to level 30.
*try this on guerilla difficulty* they will *NOT* stop rocketing you ever oh also, now days, they summon hunters to aid them on a regular basis lol have fun.
Its not just guerilla, I've fought two military harvesters and they would summon non-stop military hunters armed with flechette cannons. after the 9th hunter, I gave up because he just kept summoning more quicker than I could kill them and I was using waay too much stuff trying to kill him. If you dont have the salvaging skill they aren't worth it at all along with the tanks.
One more thing, can the gas from them kill you? If you wear a mask that is? Cause gas in buildings with a mask on won't kill you. I wasted so many health packs not knowing this.
It can kill you, there seems to be two "different" types of gas in this game, one that will continuously damage you no matter what (gas from tanks/harvesters and yellow gas canisters) while there's also area based gas and that cannot kill you as long as you have perks for gas resistance/gas mask. The medkits weren't wasted my dude, in the end it saved you tons of adrenaline i'm sure :D

repeat.
takes more time but is safe, 4 rockets + a bit of shooting to finish off usually does the trick.

No. Klauke 17 = glock 17, as well the p226 is a smaller gun than the klauke, and the final nail in the coffin; a p226 uses a hammer and pin firing mechanism while a glock is recoil operated _just like the klauke_

I had one spawn with two other giant machines on my first day in the game.
This guy is now level four and I can't even go near the area without being killed in one hit at long range by missiles and gas

I ignored the negative reviews and got the game for free this weekend. I enjoy it and I want to get it, but I have to wait until I get paid :(
I tried on the free week too and wasnt going to get it cause of the bugs but i broke and bought it. $16 is better than the $40 it normally is.
@@andreap9869 Ah, at least the developers are listening to the community. A bug I encountered was quite funny (at least to me) It was where I killed some Hunters and their bodies floated off into the sky..But hey, if you're on PC, we can play together if you want :)

SO fun story. Charged a military havester, blew its missile pods, and it started hunkering downa nd summoning military grade hunters from the fucking sky. I think things changed

Unfortunately this is going to need to be updated. Harvesters are literally worse than tanks now :( They summon hunters now (drop pod them straight in) 2 each for military and fnix class. And the military ones are always a sniper / gas bomber combo. They can end up swarming you with these assholes too. ill gladly take the tanks anyday, just knock their mortar off with a 50 cal and they're harmless. Oh harvesters can also missile bombard sideways now... which makes no sense. If you aren't directly behind them they'll nail you.
Sometimes these guys are going down in 1 hit. Me and my friend did it a lot of times but we have no idea why. It happened a lot early in the game, very rarely now. Bug?

Nice, well time for me to go kill my first runner, it's my current mission and i have this weak little starting pistol. hope i don't die... And where's the dang save option? do we totally depend on autosaves?
Sadly its totally dependant on auto saving man, but luckily its pretty generous, it will save whenever you enter your inventory, a safe house, or loot something!
@@TenebrisInfinite cool thanks. 5 runners around the church??? if only i had a better weapon. I ran in then got them 1 by one while playing hide and seek with them :) only after did i find a hunting rifle and a shotgun... Interesting so far and there's always that tension of running into a bunch of them while exploring, i like it.

I allways aim for the rocketpods first cause if they are of, the harvester is so useless cause it's the only weapon xD
Also, these spawn hunters now. They fall out of the sky, and it makes fighting these things that much worse lol.

It might've been attacked by you at some point in the past. Use the environment, such as cars, or use placeable gas tanks to shoot and hopefully deal enough damage to kill it in one shot.

What does the harvester do?
The harvester walks around the map harvesting gas from cars, and in combat its more of a support unit, launching rocket salvos, dropping ticks and even calling in reinforcements :D

I have never gotten a harvester to stay standing after i've destroyed it, they always collapse for me.
It was an old "bug", but a cool one that i'm glad i got to use for a few screenshots/footage :D
EVERYONE. you can literally just use the bar from the back end and beat the harvester. Use no ammo takes like 1-2 min. Easy

Something Many many games dont realize...
With a sniper gun you DONT close 1 eye... Why are we always using 1 eye??
We use the second, to wath for movement AROUND US.. as well as AROUND the target..
That's always bothered me! having to drop "down sights aim" to see whats going on around me. I wonder if we'll ever see that in video games down the road... It would do a lot for realism and immersion
@@TenebrisInfinite There have been a few that Split the View..It was weird and great..
I think it's a technical issue because rendering two independent images at the same time could be too taxing for the average computer.
