Lived in Clarkston my whole life as did my husband. We raised our children there. It became so over populated. Love so much about it but we retired and moved to an even smaller town. Not so much traffic. But will never ever leave Michigan. Our families are 6 generations strong in Michigan, from a homestead in Suttons bay (Leeanau county ) to Clarkston. We’ve always been happy here. Thanks for the video.
My childhood was spent in Clarkston, MI. I left to serve in the USAF after graduating from Clarkston High School. Most of my family is still there & in the surrounding area. I have gone back a few times. Last October I treated my sister to a weekend at The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. She lives in Traverse City. Now, I live in North Texas in a small town that looks a lot like Clarkston used to be. Graham Texas. A small town with a good feeling.
I lived in Waterford for more than 50 years, Clarkston is a really beautiful town it was a small hole in the wall but it always had people visiting the small shops from surrounding communities! Then Bob Seger's career skyrocketed and wealthy local celebrities started moving into the area and the town took off! It's way to expensive to live there now!
A lot of the people here are judgmental and entitled rich people. The students at the school are just the same they’re competitive and all drive brand new cars. Nice town but rude people :(

We raised our children there, best experience ever. Only moved due to husband relocating.

Definitely a beautiful town, but I agree, it's skyrocketed in population and price!
