- In this video, we discussed one of the most outstanding scientists of India born in Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, who became the first Asian to win the Noble Prize for science. The person is none other than sir c v Raman. Here we discuss the journey and the science experiment which fetched him the Nobel prize in 1930, and how a simple question like “Why the color of the sea is blue” changed his life.
Here we answer the following questions: why the color of the sea is blue? How Raman proved the color of the sea is blue? What is scattering.? What are the types of scattering? How Raman got the Nobel prize? What is Rayleigh scattering? What is Raman scattering? What are elastic scattering and inelastic scattering? Why February 28 is celebrated as national science day? இராமன் விளைவு. இராமன் விளைவு tnpsc , இராமன் விளைவு ஆண்டு , சர் சி.வி.இராமன் and more... _____________________________________________

2 days before my son asked me this question, I will definitely show him this. Thank you, LMES
dont just show explain him
Yes you will Explain your own style.
your son's hero is you only
Hahaha.. Once I saw the topic, I thought to comment the same. Few days before, My 7 years old girl asked why sea is so salty and in blue color .. why sea has waves too.
Iam proud to be a physics student😎big salute to sir c.v.Raman🙇♀️
1:39 Why ocean colour is blue ? 2:37 scattering 2:57 Scattering of light 5:36 Elastic Scattering Inelastic Scattering .. Raman effects the colour of ocean is dark blue The Discovery day February 28 National science day The man got Asia 1st Nobel prize for science and 1st Nobel prize for science
They always EXPLAIN simply ❤️
ராமன் விளைவு 5mark question during my clg days
Sir CV Raman studied in presidency college and went on to win Nobel. 👌👌👌😊Is it even possible for anybody to study amidst never ending strikes and petty politics in the same college these days.
Salute to C.V. Raman morning inspiration 😊
Interesting topic
Thanks. 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Happy Science Day to lmes team ❤🌟
Searching for Raman effect and here you uploaded ❤️
So you couldn't find video on Raman effect till LMES uploaded??

After a long time video from lmes
Very neatly explained. I think this is the easiest analogy for kids!!!
Ithu mathiri naraya video upload pannunga bro useful aa iruku
Thanks for the information ...
Bro superb
But there is not a nobel prize for science because science isn't a department
CV Raman got first nobel prize for physics(not science) in india 🇮🇳
But it's a slight mistake and I think you are doing great and keep it up
Vera level explain
Best explanation of raman effect.
Good animation for better understanding
Pls pls pls next oru study motivation video podungalaen

I am new subscriber..... My 1st video in your channel 🔥💥✨....it's very useful and gather many information 💫👍
anyways wonderful video
I like the way you give importance to small details like while you are explaining about wavelength how in the edit the color of the wave change from violet to red when the wavelength changes from low to high
Venky rocking da🥳🥳🥳❤️💯
Thank you for the information
C v raman is my inspiration since 6 years old
super
Wonderful explanation.. keep up the good work!
Excellent explaination bro
Bravo

(In the photo) The person receiving Nobel prize is not CV Raman, it's his nephew Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar.

According to your explanation
Ocean water is in kind of vibration state due to wind.
So the incoming sunlight gains energy and appears dark blue.
Is it correct??
Useful information
One of great explanation please explain worm holes and dark Matter and energy please
Thanks sir super
Very nice explanation bro. Really very useful information for our life.
Thanks for this lovely explanation
Nice information 👌
Nice explanation

In this case.
If fresh water kept outside can we get the deep blue colour?
I think volume of water and chemical composition of sea water plays a major role to get deep blue color of sea.
This scattering Is not about only sea and its color. The concept is energy and scattering.
U reminded me my 12th STD physics
Why mountains are conical in shape ? Please explain
Nice 👍
Thanks bro it is useful for my physics project
Nice explanation bro
Super anna

Thanks
Wonderful and underrated!
But there is sky blue color sea also exist. Could you please explain the details in further videos
That is because of effect of algae.

Bro college studentsukum workshop conduct panlame, think about this.
LMES please take a interview to Dr.prisha ,she is 12 years old, she have 3 doctorate and done( 70 world records). she said open her 3 eye using meditation . Mr.GK sir, said she is not real and i don't know if what they did is true or not. I think she is a gift of God .her hometown is thirunelveli and first see a interview from (news 7 , Kalaignar tv show, behind woods, pothigai chennel, jaya tv, thanthi tv ,suntv, avalglitz etc...)
Wav, accurate and nice explanation !
Amazing explanation!
Ramanujam video poduga bro
6:06 Deep blue has less wavelength than sky blue right but you have given it inversely..... Could you please reply.... I have not any reply from LMES for my queries till date....
Yes u are right wavelength order
V>I.... Bgyor
But sky is blue because
U have to consider refractive index and wavelength together which give a cumulative effect on sky colour and which reflects in sea colour
Lmes , please make topics on economics
Already I stuied this
Thank you🙏❤
Can u debunk puri jaganath temple mysteries or talk about it
Bro, what about colours change in ocean. Like if we see the bay of Bengal, it will be blue. The same Arabian ocean, it's green. If we go tip of kanyakumari. Both colours don't mix as well. Why is it so
that's due to the presence of planktons in the sea.
Now Ocean is black in colour I miss that blue 😭
Hi bro super bro
Crystal clear explanation 🤙

En physics sir kooda Ivlo deatil aa Raman effect aa explain panala 👍
I will say it in quantum physics perspective. Photons are packets of (light) energy with duality nature. They have energy and it is exhibited by vibrational state of different frequencies. Based on the frequency range the wavelength (or frequency) of the photon changes. That is, the colour of the light shifts the colour based on the wavelength (wavelength is based on energy level). Google the light wavelength chart and you will understand beyond visible light. In visible light spectrum ranges from 400 nm (violet colour) to 700 nm (red colour)
Next, the photons interact with the matter (i.e. the atoms and molecules) and hence the atoms will absorb and emit the energy (in the form of photons), So now if you take our atmosphere, it has majorly covered with ~ 20% Oxygen and ~ 70% Nitrogen gasses (Note: Im ignoring other gases and molecules). Due to interaction of the photon upon these gases absorb some energy and emit photon in the wavelength of around 400 nm along with other colours based on the molecular bond. Hence the sky is Blue in colour based on the angle of reflection and refraction (best blue in when the angle is 90 degrees or in the afternoon)
Next, now take the photons radiated from the sun and it will interact with the nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere and emit major blue....but why not other colors? Because 1) The composition of the sky gas 2) The other colours have lower energy(low frequency/high wavelength) (will be absorbed) and need different angle hence the evening and early morning reddish orange colour. Also, the water H2O have two oxygen atoms and now you know how will the emitted photon will look like. But why does it looks dark blue (different shade).
Previously Dr.Rayleigh said the scattering of photon as it is... which is also known as Elastic Scattering
Now, Sir C V Raman discovered new type of scattering where the photon either gains more energy (Blue shift) of lose energy (red shift) due to interaction with matter. This phenomena is known as Inelastic scattering!
The light from the sky is Redshifted (lost energy) and looks dark blue or greenish sometimes due to loss of energy (decreased frequency).
This is the most realistic scenario in very very simple words bro
