- When the normal 975 is not scary enough, why not try 975C, the version of the route that leaves you in the middle of literally nowhere... with no other bus to take out.
You join me, Maxson, and @_my.nightroutine._ on a one way trip into Lim Chu Kang.. at midnight.
975C is a basically a one way version of the much discussed 975, often proclaimed as Singapore's scariest bus route. Instead of returning to civilisation, 975C just ends at lim Chu Kang Road end...

The open and close doors on empty bus stops were popular back in the late 90s and early 2000s. I dont know whether the drivers still do it or not.

The joys of youth. I used to ride 981 on a UD not knowing it's a one-way...until the last stop. Ended up in the same situation as you.
Ohhh, did they not have 169/856 back then? I remember using those two to get to 981's start / end. And yeah do miss those carefree days tbh

Respect to those SMRT drivers who drive the late night and early morning services up to LCK pier. Must be.....a real experience.
Next time, do try hiking around LCK Lane 6-8. I heard that they replaced the lampposts along the main LCK road back in late 2022, but the side lanes still have the original dimmer lights so I guess that is the real deal.

@belugafan7515 I’m just saying please don’t be too offended if you are but, your wrong about Singapore only having cars around(if that’s what your saying) there’s a few forests in Singapore I think, you must not be from Singapore or have only gone to some places there, even though I am a singaporean I may not know everything about the country. If I got anything wrong please let me know!

2:06 There's actually quite a number of bus stops that use "Lamp Post #" as their name - it's used when there's simply no nearby point of interest.
I was curious and decided to find all the bus stops with "Lamp Post #", and there are 14 of them (that's quite a lot more than I expected)! Here's the list:

I always passby around this area around 4-5am when doing my cycling. From CCK to S Kadut to LCK n back to CCK. So far nvr encountered anything and maybe I nvr think any of when cycling.
I've always wanted to go out cycling at some odd hour too in Singapore hmmmm..
975 has been on my bucket list for me and my friend to try one day (at least when we are older).
You can try it when you get posted to Gedong camp during your national service 😂😂😂

I rode on 175 (before it changed to 975) way back during my ns years at 4SIR old lim chu kang camp II every week.
Wow the fact that the 2 of you were stranded in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, you guys were lucky that spirits didnt follow you out. If it were me I would bring equipment and communicate with the spirits and probably bring a cross to fend off any evil. When I research this route that time , I also very confuse that why they will open this short bus trip without returning trip ,cause when this route you arrival at the terminal , you also need returning back but off service only , does is isn’t a waste money and resource eh ?
I think it's for people to go to the army camp nearby. Honestly not so sure because there's no demand to go to the road end at this time
There is a connecting road near Aft Sungei Gedong camp that leads all the way to kranji depot.

Riding on a DAF feels spookier on 975 but sadly they are gone. Had a lot memories with it

The reason why the driver stop at bus stops even there are no passengers alighting or getting on is because all bus have their time schedule. If the bus keeps going without stopping they will reach bus interchange too early before schedule.

sometimes waited for 10-15 minutes only to board this kind of bus and getting later than expected.
i would have just ran for the last 975. not sure if that was abiding the rules, but that is what i would've done.

Used to live at Lim Chu Kang there. At Neo Tiew Road there HDB. (Now army training place). Abit scary but otherwise, its ok. Peaceful. Just mind the many dogs there

The bus captain is not afraid of ghost because he or she has to service for the ghost. SBS stand for spirit service bus, likewise for SMRT. Spirit must ride train also, because the roads or tunnels being dug through all the cemetaries where the spirit should rest in peace, especially the whole of Bishan area where the Chinese burial area for many centuries.

The prob with grab you must have a nearby car around you so that the car will accept your trip

Hmm, it's quite risky for him tbh as there's cameras on the buses and ferrying passengers while not in service presents a potential insurance / gross misconduct issue. It's alright though, we survived 😅

hi guys, if your eyes 'to be opened', u cant live in this world. 'They' are everywhere. not only along Lim Chu Kang Road. I have been here before, i can give some idea the specific location of haunted.
They indeed are everywhere. I'm based in a nearly 100 year old bus garage turned museum in the UK and when I stay late, I'm definitely not alone in there.
