  • for the last 30 days, I have used Lockheart's heavy-duty mustache wax. this wax comes in blond and brown colors. It is what I would consider a stronghold wax. it is not all-natural but holds mostly all day long.

I’m new to using mustache waxes. My first one was the Peckerhead mustache wax based on one of your previous reviews. I like how that one smelled and the hold was decent. Having to heat it up with a blow dryer ever morning was a bit of a pain though. Because of that, I just bought the Fisticuffs mustache wax because of the reviews saying it’s easier to remove from the can. After having used it for two days now I must say I like the Peckerhead better. It definitely smells better and the hold is better. I guess the petroleum jelly in the Fisticuffs makes it more oily feeling than the Peckerhead which is all natural. I will keep searching until I find the perfect fit for me. Thanks for the content!

Yea I think you may want to check out my review of the savvy jack wax or even the sudden death both are great hold and easier to remove from the tin with out a blow-dryer.

@@30DayReviews thanks, I’ll check out the savvy Jack one. I bought the Death Grip last week and so far I still think the Peckerhead is better. The Death Grip smells like fresh asphalt vs the Peckerhead smells like pine. The hold vs the two I feel is about the same. I bought a small candle heater to heat the wax up instead of using a blow dryer. It works ok.

Nice job dude. I think i have an old Lockharts wax from like years ago, think it may have dried up lol. On petroleum jelly and in general I dont use it once I read years ago that its considered a carcinogen lol 😆. I wonder why they still use thst stuff in facial products to be honest with you. Inhave one brand thats still good after like 6 plus years called firehouse wax.

I am looking for a stronger hold wax. Either that or I have to massively trim my stach.
    Thanks again Justin.

Try Firehouse wacky tacky. I think Justin has a review of it too.

Lockharts is in my rotation, as is Great Great Grandpas stiff hold wax.

@@30DayReviews It's a very stiff hold, and I know they have different levels of hold, and a scent line as well. The one I have just smells like wax though. It can be a bit tough to put in, but I think it holds better than any other stiff hold wax I have tried. Better than Deathgrip, Lockhart's, Firehouse etc.

those are some pretty big claims to be stronger then those I guess Ill have to put them on my list and try to get to them sooner then later.

@@30DayReviews It works best by far on my mustache. Deathgrip is awful in my opinion, as it just goops in and doesn't keep the hairs in any shape I try to put them in, and Firehouse is awesome, and leaves the mustache more pliable, and Lockhart's is a good daily driver wax. They all hold worse for me than Great Great Grampas wax. It is my go to, but it isn't good on smaller mustaches, and it really likes to clump up, so there is a criticism.

@@30DayReviews they're actually a hair care company. They're known for their high quality pomades and hair tonics. But they've been trying to expand their beard care products and just released their mustache wax and promoting it as a strong hold 🙂

seams that many hair care companies are seeing the $ they can make in the beard and mustache game. it would be interesting to review there product though.
