- This is my attempt to explain how I went about building a weld remote for most if not all miller welders with 14 pin remote connections. I built this remote for around 100 bucks vs the thousand’s of dollars these scammers want for their remotes. This remote has full functionality,
Parts list: 5k ohm 2 watt dart potentiometer 30 bucks
Abs plastic box 5-10 bucks on Amazon
16/3 extension cord I used blue for better visibility and identification of remote lead,
Cable glands for the box 9 bucks Amazon
Replacement extension cord plugs 10 bucks.
Save thousand’s of your hard earned money.
Thank you man, I will definitely look into this.
So if you were to add an outlet plug what pins would be used ? Pin A & B ? 24v AC
Well you need over 110v to run a grinder so look up the wiring diagram and figure out which pins give you 110v and wire up a gfi.
Is it the Same wiring for a Lincoln just a different plug?
different plug still 3 wires but I think that is for new machines and shop welders, if you have a sa 200 I think you need a reostat.
What welder you have brother? I have the trailblazer 325 , are all millers wired the same?
I'm using it on a big blue 400 cst dou it will work on all 14 pin miller machines I believe. the pinouts are all the same for miller machines with 14 pin connectors.
ever make a wireless?
No that is too expensive to make in my opinion
