Please don't mind my missing finger nail/ unstyled hair :| Not aiming for peak performance here guys!!
I hope that those of you who were curious about why I don't have a terminator arm and if I pay full price for manicures are satisfied after watching this!
Let me know what videos you want to see next in the comments!

That answer about how your arm feels, .. 50 years later still feels the same way. No worries, you get used to it.
*CREATOR ON THE RISE🔥🔥🔥🔥*
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! You are such an inspiration to everyone!
I'm curious if the loss of your arm has caused any back issues? Maybe from like a counter balance posture?
Stephanie Rodriquez how so? He just asked a simple question
@Stephanie Rodriquez takes one to know one
I was curious about the manicures too😂 Love your videos! I am not an amputee, but I still find such inspiration from your videos! Thanks for sharing!!
You’re the exact person I needed in my life right now. ❤️
Happy birthday! Interesting video :)
Just discovered your channel and I'm so glad I did ! Your such an inspiration and it makes me think how grateful I should be for the simple things in life.
Its crazy to think that it still feels like your arm is there and that when you touch that spot on your shoulder it feels like your touching your hand !!
SO MUCH....CONFIDENCE.....LUV IT!!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!! I think its so awesome that nothing is stopping you from living your daily life. Your so cool and beautiful! KEEP DOING YOU GIRLLL!!!!! :)
Thank you for explaining what phantom arm/pain feels like. That was the best and clearest description. Great video!
It's so great of you to answer all these questions! People very often think it but would be way to scared to ask in person, unless they knew you super well.
Happy belated birthday!! This video was super informative thank you!
It’s amazing to find your UA-cam channel, I haven’t lost my arm, but I have had 2 strokes and I struggle to do things with my right arm, finding your videos make me realise how I am not the only one who can use 1hand! Thank you!
Oh, wow, thank you so much for answering my questions! You're awesome!
Happy Late Birthday! Love this video ❤️
you’re a pisces and so am i !!! that’s why i love your channel so much but also cause ur sooo down to earth and helpful
Creator on the rise!!! Congrats Megan!
Oh and happy belated birthday!! 🎉
Please can you show us in a video how you do your housework? In which situations do you need help?
omg yes I was wondering about the nails too. I'm so happy you made a youtube channel!!
You are honestly amazing.
I just subscribed to your channel and you are so inspiring! Your confidence and strength inspires me to be the best me I can be and motivates me to be a better swimmer! You don’t care about what people say about you. Love your channel!!! Keep up the amazing work!
Pls keep making videos, you have so much wisdom to share.
I lost function in my left arm after an accident when I was 15 and I watch a lot of your videos thank you so much you don’t even know how much you helped me. You taught me how to put my hair in a ponytail one handed 🤍
Everytime, I even see u pop up on my phone with a new video, my 💓 just speaks to me, and says, I just love her she is so beautiful, so positive, and how could I complain about stupid things thruout my day. I suffer with lupus, okay big deal, but it takes so much out of me, yet I decide I can either lay down and die in it, or I can live in it,! That's what I chose, although some days are better than others, but I'm a doer, which means I have ADHD and i am on medication for it, but even with the medication, nothing is a cure all, so I know u know what that feels like, I don't really have any questions, I just seek ur wisdom, and for that my beautiful sister on Cyberspace, may God continue to bless u with alllll that u are doing with ur life! (Kudo)!'s
What a brave and sweet woman! Your videos motivate me a lot! :)
I subscribed immediately. You have such a beautiful soul and you've truly inspired me! Thank you! I still cant put my hair up with one arm ive tried so much. But thank you for posting such great videos
Pisces here! Loving your videos. Very inspirational.
A lucky fin!! 😭😭😭 just like Nemo!
Calling her a fish?
Happy birthday!!!!🎁🎈🎂
I was in a terrible car accident in August and one of my injuries includes nerve damage in my left arm which doesn’t allow me to lift arm and bend it/flip it without assistance. I watched your video on how you lost your arm and it was the same experience I had. Ever since I found your channel I’ve been wanting to UA-cam like you to help me cope with my trauma. But anyways Omg I’m a Pisces! And you’re such an inspiration to me you’ve help me so much
Do you have any modifications to the car you drive?
Happy Birthday 🙌
Belated happy birthday! I was honestly shocked when you said you are only 23! Not because you look old, but because you have such a genuine, grounded confidence about you! I assumed you were in your 30s!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY xxx
Happy belated birthday!!!
ah you're so pretty i'm so jealous !
Oh my goodness! I totally relate to getting manicures and only paying half-price. It definitely only takes the nail technicians one time to be completely embarrassed when reaching for your other hand and you have to remind them you don't have it.
happy belated birthday 💞
You are an incredibly beautiful and brave girl, and your attitude is amazing
U r on trending!!!
I dont know how I got here, but I recognised you instantly lol, Didnt know you had a youtube channel XD, I used to work at the gas station next to IMG, cool channel keep it up!
Happy late birthday !!
YOU ARE FABULOUS
happy belated birthday!
Mine is also in t-rex shortened position. Hand still has lots of clenching,/pins-needles, like holding a hot rock in my hand feel. When you talk about your experiences, I sort of relate too many times. I guess we reflect off people. By the way, all i could think about is my apartment keys, and how i need to give them to someone so my mom can get in. I was bleeding to death, but held onto the keys and the artery. It's not easy to be a teenager.
These videos have helped so many, including a close friend of mine. Thank you. Question: do you plan to complete the series you started Life After Amputation?
Megan, I just watched your first video from 2 months ago and you have 21k subscribers already and that remarkable. You are a very beautiful girl and you remind me so much of daughter and she is 25 but we used to ride the quad runners or we go out on the boat and I had a scare with her where she flipped the 3 wheeler we had but thank God she was ok. That's when I got rid of it and got the Polaris quad runners. Anyway, you have a remarkable story and are very resilient.
When exercising specifically running, do you have trouble with balance?
Congrats! Found your channel on Creator on the Rise. I'm just hoping my channel could achieve this one day.
New sub! Enjoy your videos. Very natural!
Did you return to school when you were able?? How did the other students react?? And how long did it take you to return
Thanks for sharing! You’re honesty and humor is inspiring. My question is how do you “clap”? With a snap, against your chest, stomp your feet, flash your smile...? Thanks again and best of luck 😊
happy birthday and god bless🙏
How do you think your personality changed after the accident? After events like the one you went through I tend to be more open, and care less about what others think of me, because who knows how much longer I will be this version of myself.
Love ya vids... thanks for sharing.
You're amazing
I'm sorry, but I still got some more questions. I hope you don't mind. :-)
1. I noticed that you have very often your missing arm-side somewhat moved upwards. One can see it in this very video too. Why is that? Is it just because of gravity, meaning the heavier side (with the arm) just hangs lower some more?
2. Have you always been right-handed? Because if not, this would have been quite an annoying thing to relearn, I would imagine.
3. Are you religious? If so, since when? Have you been religious before the accident or did it come after the accident?
4. I hope this is not too personal, but do you have a boy-friend or any life-partner? I mean, such an awesome person like you MUST be having a boy-friend! :-)
Thanks again a lot, but I don't worry if you don't answer my questions this time! You are awesome anyway!
Do you or did you try to use your phantom arm for anything, like hand gestures?
I had a stroke 17 years ago I no longer have use of my left hand/arm so I can relate to how you are do you have to grab your arm when you roll or does it go with you? I have to grab my arm when I roll into my right side.
You're amazing! I had a motorcycle accident and had a break of the brachial plexus, so I lost all the movement of my arm... I think every day about amputating... Do you have any tips?
Your a trooper, a beautiful one: )
Q: Is there an option to get a transplant?
Happy Birthday :)
You are incredibly gorgeous and you have such a loving personality! 💕 But I’m curious.. what are some tasks you still need help with? And do you have a special car that allows you to drive with only one arm (in our country you’re allowed to drive automatic cars with a special stirring wheel etc.)? Sorry for all the questions xx
Happy birthday have a great day. So positive and so beautiful
Good job! Only 2 months on UA-cam and 20k subs!
You’re athletic from what I see on your instagram, ever had any thoughts about trying to qualify for the paralympic games?
Megan, You re an amazing woman!
You can hold the bottle in one hand and twist it open with your thumb and pointer.
I know what its like to have one arm. I have the exact limb difference. Fully missing left arm, onlymy shoulder that can move. Then i have a fully functional right arm. Ive been like this ever since i was born. So High five Megan! If you want to contact me send it privately preferably. Maybe we can share tips.
Your so beautiful 😍 Who else is scrolling through the comments while watching this ❓
Great Job you made it on "Creator on the Rise"
What did they do with your arm when it was removed?
You are so pretty I️ love your hair
Thanks for the video. Can I ask you - do you have negative feelings about having one arm, and do you wear sleeveless tops?
youre 23? Im 22 but if you stood next to me, id look like a toddler.. dang..
Stacey Machado Same! I'm 23, Birthday was in January but she looks so much more mature in a good looking way! (Ohhh and I'm a mom lol)
Happy birthday. Are you on a sports team? Or the summer Olympics or sth?
My aunt and uncle live in Anchorage too!!
Did you lose your dominant arm(the one you would write with) and was school a challenge
Great vid:) keep it up you will blow up soon just try to upload more things like vlogs but it's great now :)
I’m curious how you wash your hair. Do you wear deodorant on the arm you lost? And how do you put deodorant on your existing arm? Also, did you lose the arm you wrote with, was that difficult learn to write with the other hand?
Devon Sloan try using the hand attached to that armpit to put on deodorant.... totally doable just awkward.
Devon Sloan great question!
Devon Sloan miss I wanna study wih you
She was right handed
What do you guys think is harder, one arm or one leg?
Awesome video! My birthday is tomorrow!

I guess my question would be what are some of the things you wish people would do or not do when it comes to interacting with you? In public or in private. Do you find it annoying when people are trying to help too much or just assume you can't do something.
Quinn Reed if I can give my two cents as a disabled person who uses a cane, I would say that it is pretty annoying when people assume what I can and can't do. In general, I think the best thing to do is ask if someone needs help if they look like they're struggling, and don't just help with out asking, you know? It's really invasive (at least to me) when people do that. And when people need to know what I can or can't do, it's nice when they just ask "what accommodations to you need?" or "can you do stairs, or do you want to take the elevator?" or "will walking that far be a problem for you?" Those types of questions are really respectful and helpful and save my pride in asking for help sometimes lol. As always, obviously I can't speak for all disabled people because everyone has a different experience, but I hope this helps some!
Do you drive? If so do you have a ‘special’ car that has all the gears up closer? Or just a regular car?
ich wünsche dir alles gute für deine zukunft
bleib stark ! bleib gesund !
I want a video on how to wear sweater with one arm
I thought you were around 28 because you seem so mature & confident.
💕👍 Wow! Glad other individuals asked questions that I was guna ask. Now I got my answers. Thanks for being so brave. I always tell my sister what you do, since she is going thru exact situation. It has been 9months since she had her left arm amputated, by the way, happy belated bday. I have a question. Can/Do you still drive? 🚐🚗🚙🚥
Washington gal right!!! 😀
What is your favorite reaction you get when people see that you only have one arm?
That’s so funny you mention your biggest concern was your clothes because when I was 4 my family got in a bad accident, and I had a hole in my knee. I was wearing my favorite pants; they were violet corduroy with a flower print. They were covered in blood, and my older brother ripped them open to see what had happened. I vividly remember being, so angry he ruined my pants despite the fact my knee was thrown open to the bone.
Hello ! Megan Absten ! I’m korean
I don’t speak English 😭
당신을 정말 존경합니다 !!
저는 교회에 다니는데요 당신을 예배시간에 본 것 같습니다 정말 그걸보고 많이 반성하고 대단하며 정말 위대하다 라고 생각했습니다
정말 존경합니다
you're awesome. feel like you would be a great friend girl.
Are you able to drive a car? Btw I love your channel
Saludos desde Argentina
Not to be weird or anything lol but I’m so interested as to how you shower with only one arm? Like how do you squeeze shampoo bottles and how do you wash your hair and stuff?
Megan, What is your favorite protein cookie?
My dream job is to be a biomedical engineer. I want to make prosthetic limbs. I have always wanted to become a biomedical engineer since i saw Dolphin tale when i was 6 years old or so. But my parents told me that dolphins getting their tales amputated is not that common compaired to humans😂. But then in 8th grade we made prosthetic limbs out of recycled materials. I'm a freshman rn and last semester, i was in an engineering class will all guys and i was the only girl (and u would think they all have never seen a girl before bc they all asked me out or some asked me to prom😂) but ya, maybe when i am older, I'll make a prosthetic arm that u'll use😊😊
Meghan xoxo you go for it! I am hoping to go to med school to help children who can’t hear 😊 hope all your dreams of making prosthetics come true! You can make a huge difference in people’s lives 😄
Hey, just to give you encouragement, my friend wanted to make prothetic limbs. She graduated university last year with a degree in physics. You don't even need a masters to find a job, although it helps.
