I just discovered her this year. I watched this season and didn't remember her. To be fair, I think she wasn't ready then. The quieter moments didn't really work, but she's grown a lot since then and her new album is fantastic!

How far this 17 year old has come! Now she is making songs that are knocking it out of the ballpark. So proud of you Cari.
I honestly think that Simon’s criticism was fair and constructive and that Fletcher has risen to every single challenge he presented to her and it has helped shape her into the creative, vulnerable, original, powerhouse that she is today. He told her she needed to be memorable, and to tell an original and exciting story, and Fletcher does that every single time she gets on the stage or in the booth
I agree. Its tough to hear but she rose to the challenge. Her sound is definitely memorable now.

I am kinda surprised at the negative comments about her voice. I am no professional but I thought the chorus was very good and revealed vocal control. If Simon hadn't criticized her vocals, I wonder if anyone in the comments would have done so also. Most of negative comments are probably from people just blindly following Simon. (Don't get me wrong, I usually do respect his opinion.)
+Vague Memory I came from another video that was cut short. I didn't watch this yet but I didn't think she's very good but i wanted to hear how she does the chorus. not much voice control and lacking in tone but we'll see what the judges comments are.

Came to check out the beautiful woman who stole Shannon's heart and how her story started. And I have to say she's amazing. They're both lucky to have each other. Cari's songs are awesome too. Wasted Youth is such an LGBTQ bop❤️❤️❤️

I watched this season and I listen to FLETCHER now and I love her recent music, but I actually think Simon was right here. He didn't criticize her vocals, he just said she was boring and she kind of was. This was not a particularly memorable audition. She didn't do anything interesting with the song. She didn't really "perform" it. Her voice was obviously good, but it wasn't particularly distinct. It really didn't stand out from all the others, nor did her personality. I don't think she was ready then. She got a few years to mature and really work on her confidence, songwriting, etc. and I think it probably all worked out for the best. I can't wait for her upcoming EP.

On the contrary, I think what he said was spot on AT THE TIME, and she took his critique to heart and became a better performer because of it. She's amazing now; she had the potential to become amazing then but she wasn't yet. Growth is a beautiful thing 💖

When I like this show, it's when the judges say something that's actually useful. Both Paula and Simon gave this girl good input and then sent her forward to see what she did with it. I liked this.

Lol, they're just like zombies following Simon, without realizing half the things he does is to sell the TV show and create drama, not because he truly knows what he's doing. He says "I wouldn't remember you, you're not memorable". Are you serious? She's pretty and her voice is nice. Half the celebrities out there are as "un-memorable" as her including that little girl Carly Sonenclair that Simon totally adored, and just because of that people adored her lol.
somebody said she sang it badly ?.. that person has not heard any of HEART live perfomances !! SHE CAN easely stand to the Heart itself and trust me.. i LOVE HEART for like 20 years !! from a little kid !! I have really high standard for music quality and singers quality and she is really perfect !! Yes shes hot and she put a bit of more nervous but profesional appearance... but still its was really allmost pitch perfect and Heart is one of the hardest bands to sing ! because both of the singers from Heart are top level for 30-35 years till this days! She can be proud of her performance. Maybe more emotions in the face but she wanted to concentrate on the quality of singing not the faces !
