    Stuff we use:
LENS - Most people ask us what camera we use, no one ever asks about the lens which filmmakers always tell us is more important. This lens was a big investment for us and one we wish we could have made sooner. Started using this lens at the end of 2013 - amzn.to/2tbtmOq

It is Fn horrible advice. Just like "practice everyday". No. Take breaks. Have other interests and research for your work.
If your goal is burnout, write every day.
Everyday should be towards your goal, and sometimes that means taking a break.
It's OK to only work 4-6 days a week

I think it’s great advice for those that can do it. I write everyday because I can’t live without writing.
Some people feel paralysed by things like this, so it’s always good to follow advice that works for you.

Writing daily is an excellent habit to cultivate. Writing by hand is my very first step. When I type up the results for printing out and editing, there are always new additions to the original handwritten draft as I'm typing. I print out the results, hand write the edits, go back and type them up again. Longhand is critical to my daily creative thinking process but I've been at this a very long time, having started out only handwriting before consumer grade computers were a thing. Great interview and kudos to the interviewer. Always a pleasure to hear her conduct these talks. ❤

To me it does feel like you gain momentum. And suffer from iniertia when you don’t. And i can feel finding words gets easier when i write more, like warming up the joints. Now if only i could write every day! Thank you for the video!

Mr l. P lipscome . Thank you for your wise advice. Iam Arabic lady subscriber to several British and American UA-cam channels since Christmas 2019 . Iam always keeping notebooks and pen beside me because Iam not native speaker. Google is our library and UA-cam channels as open universities. You stared your career in 2006 as director and became writer . You are really inspiring person . Yes writing skill is talent , but working hard , such as close reading making great results. It’s doesn’t matter which topic if we feel sad or happy writing on paper is good remedy . Yes we must read all genres of book to be well educated and write perfectly.

I loathe writing by hand. As a visual person (overly critical of anything I make by hand!), I find the constant SAME font on a writing program to be soothing. That way I can really FOCUS on what I’m writing and not how it looks.
I know it sounds silly, but it’s true.
Write how you feel comfortable. This is good advice, but you’ve gotta go with what makes you comfortable.
Of course, I do make notes on my script in freehand.

I write every day, even if it's just for an hour or two... or five hours. It's really the only thing that i can do, as of right now, to keep my mind focus and sharp. I definitely agree with this video, though. The more you write, the more momentum you'll gain. I think to "write every day" is very good advice.

At the very least daily writing keeps your mind in the habit of formulating ideas into descriptive words and grammatical sentences. Not everyone will find it productive to attempt turning out finished script pages every day of their lives. But professional writers shouldn’t be any different than a professional musician. There’s an intricate mind-body synthesis and coordination at work, and if you walk away from your underlying methods and technique for any length of time, then expect your virtuosity to fade. And at the same time, do whatever it takes to keep the daily exercise of writing from becoming tedious or boring. Stay fresh and at ease with your craft.

Write a few days. Stop it for a few days. It gives a time to ferment the writings and relook at it. Then make little tinkering and tweaking, and then speed up because new ideas emerge and the same will not arise if it is a daily routine. Writing Gap helps,to sequence the logic and refreshen initial write up. Smooth ending results at the end
