  • This is an example of lane filtering. You might have been like I was before I knew there was something different than lane splitting... Lane splitting is when a motorcyclist rides between two lanes of moving traffic heading in the same direction, whereas lane filtering is when a motorcyclist rides between two stopped or slow-moving cars.

Just showing the different between lane splitting and lane filtering bc many never heard of filtering. Its also illegal in Florida.

@@FireStoneDashcamVids I have worked as a motorcycle instructor (predominantly technical theory, so less laws of traffic, more laws of physics (what forces act onn the bike in what situations, how to calculate braking distance, speed at impact etc. to give people a clearer understanding of how much a few Kmh/Mph can make a difference)) in Germany, I have never heard of the concept (at least not defined like this). In Germany (and as far as I know, most if not all of Europe), you can not pass a car in the same lane while driving. Doing it at a traffic light is a bit of a gray zone, but technically, it should still fall under the same law and be illegal. That being said, I have ridden all over Europe, and I have never had any issues with the police when doing this at lights or in congested traffic.
