    As a student of enlightenment for 45 years and a spiritual counselor for 15, I have always loved Ken Wilber. He even met me once in a dream with a note that simply said, “Yes”. At one time we both had a side by side article on the witness consciousness in an e-magazine. My favorite writings of Ken Wilber was his published journals.

      You have to have massive guns even when you are old if you want to truly embrace the integral lifestyle.

      Yeh-fully agreed but as I suspected this is a good few years ago and not quite the case now for K.W
      Keep lifting chief!!

      This must have been recorded quite a while ago considering how he looks now with his health issues.

    He looks younger now than in 2010. What happened? Is this a video from before 2010? I see it was published here in 2017, sorry I am new.

    Enlightenment is a life long process, not an end point. We are being enlightened - beings of light.

      You say everybody is light. So, we are all enlighten beings? Why does the majority of humanity act so unenlighten then?

    I've seen shorter answers by a politician. To those not wanting to sit through the whole long video, the answer is no.

    • @wokenepali8376

      Well, he says, yes and no. But he doesn't sound like he's enlightened.
      This is my problem with Mahayana and Zen traditions. They don't need you to be free from suffering before you start your path to enlightenment. So, all of them get fake enlightenment like him.
      It's clear to me from everything he says and does that he's not free from Sansaric rebirths... so, he hasn't reached moksha, let alone enlightenment.

    • @zootsoot2006
      @zootsoot2006 3 роки тому

      Well, from an absolute perspective we're all already enlightened anyway, because that which is not enlightened is not real. So the question and the answer are meaningless. I think a better question would be, 'are you free from all egoic preoccupations?' I honestly don't think any individual being ever could answer yes to that question. Certainly not the 'gurus' of the 60s and 70s like Adi Da, who were full of ego. I think at this point we should get free of the term 'enlightened' altogether, it's just become a marketing term for frauds and charlatans.

    • @peterbroome3216
      @peterbroome3216 2 роки тому

      @@zootsoot2006 self realization is a better term...and in my opinion he is not self realized...you don't need to dance like this...its a simple yes...he is interested in his work not his state of mind...

    "Are you enlightened (?)" You don't have to be snarky or falsely humble to answer, quite sincerely and realistically: "More than some people . . . and less than others".

    • @QED_
      @QED_ 7 років тому +6

      And if asked, "Well, who are you more enlightened than (?)" . . . "The person that I was 20 years ago." . . . is probably pretty fair, too.

    with enlightenment in the integral theory would an enlightened person need to be at the highest human level of growing up and continually at the highest stage of waking up?

      I'm not sure to understand what kind of answer you're looking for but basically it is: no.
      Most likely no one has ever seen the last stage to begin with.
      Seeking the last stage is like seeking the limit of the universe.
