@@inprogress2807 On the ones with Mcloed River and the one where you are camping and riding at Mountain Park,Prospect area, I believe those two are turn off on the comments. Are you from Edmonton area? I live in Hinton and got here just a few years before the Cheviot mine opened up at Mountain Park. I look at all your old videos and I can see where our haul roads went for the mine and how they used a lot of the old original trails. I’m damn near crying watching your videos ha ha knowing that I had to go in there with a D11 cat and wreck all those awesome places. I worked at that mine for quite a few years. That area has been closed down since 2004 back in Prospect area and I’m not sure if you knew this but they actually just opened up the old designated trail through there but you’ll probably cry if you see what we did to that place with the mining lol
@@Indeewoods I have not been in there since they reopened the mines. My son was and the stories ain't good. I did enjoy visiting that area. So much history along Robb to Mountain Park. During that time I stopped at Edson at the tourist place and talk to a lady that was from there and got a book about the coal valley mine and how important they were during WWII. My son's mother in law worked at the Mountain Park hotel. You have a good day.
@@inprogress2807 that’s pretty neat. Ya i’d like to talk to the county or someone about putting some info signs up with pictures showing some of the history in the area. That coal cart and old mine shaft you took in the video are still there just so you know. Our mining stopped not to far away from that. Last year the mining company reopened a temperary Ohv trail that actually follows some of the original main trail that went back into that prospect creek area. It stops right before you go up to Drimmond ridge and I think they think we have forgotten about all those trails back in there but trust me I haven’t lol I told them we want our trails back and they claim they are going to but we’ll see. It’s always a fight to keep the atv trails open here.
@@Indeewoods It is nice to know that the cart is still there. Here are a couple of photos of Luscar in 1978 from the fire tower. Other is Mountain Park in 1991. Across was the foundation of the hotel. There were photos of the hotel and I thought they were still there. You more than likely have done that but if you search Mountain Park on Facebook you will find people that recalls stories about Mountain Park. It doesn't seem the photos have attached.
Your video’s are awesome!!!!!!
