Thanks for your information
Nice Fat Shart decal =))
Everything speedybee has been bringing out lately has just been nothing sort of amazing. I'm guessing this should be just as good..😁
thanks for sharing
You’re welcome Doris 👍🏻
Good review. I agree with you that it would be nice if antenna diversity option for long range could be added in the future. Found nothing in the manual about this really useful option, so now I know.
I have sent some recommendations to SpeedyBee for the VRx firmware. Hopefully some will be addressed in the future.
The only thing I'm sad they don't have is ELRS Backpack.
Agreed! Wonder if we can add an ELRS backpack unit to this like with RapidFire...?
Specs say 450ma power consumption, so more than the 350mah of the Rapidfire I think.. so older FS goggles may need the power mod.. Waiting for mine to arrive and did the power mod anyway.
My goggles already had the power mod (HDO). But it would be nice if SpeedyBee could confirm this, and even supply the mod cable if it is needed. I've been using the module a little while now, and it doesn't seem any better or worse than my old True D X receiver. I'll do a back to back at some point, with the same antennas.
Can you have both HD and Analog at the same time?
Not on the same craft.
Hello friend, great video. Check how many Dbm Sensitivity the module has? I can't find that information. thank you!!
-98dBm
I've asked SpeedyBee to include that information in the specs.
I prefer Eachine PRO58 with WPRO58 firmware flashed.
I used to have the Pro58 with the Achilles firmware. That was a great VRx, especially for the money. Just a shame it didn't have a USB connection to make the firmware update easy.
Can this module be adapted for analog goggles? Is this a de-interlacing module?
This is native to analog goggles, it has the same plug type as rapidfire or fusion and will slot into a module bay such as fat shark, skyzone or orqa.
SPECULATION ZONE:
I don't think it de-interlaces since they would be yelling about it if it did, and that might actually require an additional chip. From what I've seen it does not do sync reconstruction, so it may be more susceptible to rolling than fusion and rapidfire.
It seems like a diversity mixing module, which means it merges two signals from two antennas. I may be wrong on that though, it may just do diversity switching, where it switches to the antenna with better signal.
I think the most direct comparison is Foxeer wildfire which is roughly similar price, though I have not confirmed any of this with personal experience or research, just watched a bunch of reviews or info videos and looked at specs.
Has anyone tried this with the BDI adapter for the DJI goggles V2?
I don’t use DJI. But I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, if it has a standard size FatShark VRx bay?
