      It is the way to establish one party rule. Some solutions not necessarily all the solutions is to balance the budget, which will over time eliminate inflation; dramatically decrease the permitting power of the federal government, many of these regulations are already done by the states, making federal permits redundant thus inflationary; allow health insurance to be sold across state lines which will bring down the cost of health insurance; school choice, which will allow kids trapped in failing schools a chance to escape. These are only some but they all have choice, freedom and prosperity. Peace.

      Because the current system is so corrupt and bunch of politicians and elites are thriving off of it. They are doing everything in their power to keep it that way. Brainwashing and propagandise the public is one, demonization and discrediting the threat to the system when the threat is still weak and if the threat has grown strong and loud, they'll silence it directly. You know what I mean if you followed Andrew's presidential and mayor campaign.

The lack of critical thinking in poorly planned, one-sided, severely underfunded education systems is the largest threat to the security of the US.

They've been used in many places for a long time without accomplishing these goals. Ranked choice is voter friendly not politician friendly. Thats how it should be. We shouldn’t have to vote for “the person we hate less” we should vote for who we think is best for the job without fear of “wasting a vote” and then our second or third choices have a chance as well. This eliminates the us vs them parties, allows other parties to have a chance, and in a way will make politicians have to focus on promoting their actual policies/beliefs/plans instead of just lying and trash talking the single opposition candidate/party.
    Tl;dr ranked choice is a real democratic system unlike the false choice we currently have voting for the “lesser of two evils” every single election.

      I still think Bernie was better at this. But he made the mistake of getting far enough along to be defeated. If Bernie had been the nominee in 2016, a lot of America's recent messes could have been avoided. No Trump, no Republican supreme court, no dark money. Even if he didn't get to implement the changes he wanted, he would have prevented the recent decline. And it is a real decline I'm afraid. All of the Trump era changes will have to be reversed. This will take a decisive election, and some imagination -- and some luck.

      @Spidey_Ethan 9 місяців тому +1

      I considered it several years back, yes. Ultimately didn’t, but not because I didn’t like the party and candidates. More so just that I find I hardly agree with any party more than 60% it seems. So, I feel more independent (not to be mistaken as “independent party”) with conservative principles.

    • @Spidey_Ethan
      @Spidey_Ethan 9 місяців тому +1

      Also, frankly, I’m not much of a party person I decided. Haha. I prefer to study my candidates rather than go with what a party offers, but I know not every American has that time to dive into third party candidates. But, I do like the Forward Party overall.

      @@Spidey_EthanI feel similarly, but I joined to give more momentum to it to promote some of the ideas I agree with, and because if the other members are also frustrated with the current two parties they would hopefully be willing to compromise in the interest of the current best solution to any particular issue while still being open to new ideas. If you are independent, you could probably add some valuable perspective to others in the group from you district. If the support for ranked choice voting keeps moving forward, you could still be a member of the Forward party and vote for other independents or party members that align with your vision for the future.
      Also, thank you for your response.

    Just a few states adopting Alaska's system of a Nonpartisan Open Primary system combined with Ranked Choice Voting for the general could significantly enhance how our government serves the people. While there are various ideas to improve our government, changing our voting system is perhaps the most impactful and efficient way to bring about the necessary changes. Fix the incentives and we fix the system.
