Thanks for some great DIY project sharing what we can do to make these ugly pots look beautiful once again and reuse them in our garden. Thank you so much my dear friend for another wonderful video. Thanks for sharing.
I just stumbled onto your channel and am blown away! All of your ideas are so inspiring. I love all the yard art. My head is swimming with thoughts for projects in my own yard. I can’t wait to settle on one and get started.
Greetings! Thank you for such an uplifting message! I’m in complete appreciation that #1 you came across my channel and #2 the content vibes with you. How great is that! Lovely lovely 🥰 I’m excited to see what you come up with. There’s an artist in everyone. Please share❤️
I told the hubbie, I ran across a use for the discarded hoses. My parents were post depression and my mom tried to use every thing. It drives my husband nuts. I’ll have useful trash hidden. He finds and gets rid of it and if I’m lucky, I notice it and hide it somewhere different. His family obviously had more money than mine but we had more fun making things together. Janice.
You sound like my husband and me. He’s older, but I grew up poorer. Where he sees trash, I see use. I often shop the construction side of the dump. (Don’t worry, I worked construction, and I know how to be safe.) I have rehabbed parts of my 200 year old home with cast offs. People are too quick to throw anything away. I grabbed a weedeater from the dump. It looked too new to be there. My husband was afraid someone would see us. I took it home, took it apart, and realized the previous owner had crossed the wires. In twenty minutes, I had it running. My husband said, “Smarty,” and went into the house. Keep recycling all!
Thanks for a great idea. Does this work as well for big plaastic pots, or is there a downside to it? How do they react to weather or are they for inside use only?
Greetings! Great questions. I used mortar mache so they could go outside. Same treatment on big or small plastic pots. I live in a sub tropical climate .. humidity, rain, lots of sun and heat. They are fine. In this moment I don’t have enough data on freezing temperatures / snow to guide you in this area. ( this fall I will) and can update. I’ll send a small planter to Chicago. Leave it out all winter. 🥰thank you for watching my channel. Appreciate it to the moon and back😀
Greetings!! Out of the 4 planters in video two are being used as a”cache pot” which simply put means placing another planter inside this one. The other plastic pots I kept the integrity of single holes for drainage if I want to plant in there directly. Thank you for watching my channel.
@sheilagilleland4312 yes! If you want to paint or stain them first then seal them that’s great. The sealer that was used here is ONLY for unpainted mortar, brick, cement etc. you need a different sealer for painted mortar. There are many many options out there. Thank you for watching my channel and taking time to comment. We all learn with these questions/ answers. 😍

I didn't see drainage holes added. Do you put another pot with plant inside? How do you deal with drainage?

@Angela.0411 thank you! Appreciate you watching my channel & taking time to comment🥰lovely
I wonder if they could be stained first, then sealed? I guess there’s no reason they couldn’t.
