I’ve been experimenting with castings vs fish emulsion and the plants love the worm castings way more. Also it’s amazing that worm castings is the only main source of extra nutrients in your garden. The plants are huge!

Worm castings are truly magical. I also always add worm tea whenever I plant a new seedling in the ground, I feel it helps the plant recover much quicker from transplant shock and gives them a super boost in their new location. Thanks for the helpful video and for explaining the science behind how worm castings work. Nature is Amazing!

I've been harvesting castings this year. When I refill my water reservoirs, I'll move 'em 2 feet over and scrape the top layer of earth where they were sitting- the worms seem to just love it under water filled basins/buckets.... I flip over a few paving stones as well. I get a few big handfuls this way and I'm sure it's helping my plants. I plan on buying a big bag next year so I can have enough to amend my whole garden.

Yes that’s perfect! You can put one on the bottom to catch excess moisture or worm tea.

Hi, great vid:) I need some advice. I just got a bag of earthworm castings but it's full of cocoons. I know worms can be beneficial but I dont want them in my house plants, do you k ow of a way I can kill/stop them from hatching?
I haven't opened the clear bag there in yet but I squished a few of them trying to find out what they were, will this of killed the eggs or will they still turn into worms? Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks:)
Hi Sorry for my delayed response. You can sift the castings and throw the eggs outside.
