Can’t imagine how terrified soldiers would have been approaching Omaha Beach, especially considering most of the boat was made of wood. Those men are the reason we have what we have today. Thank You Incredible restoration. Great sound track.
Drop the music, have a walk around inside to show the engine and arraignment of the equipment. Show how the drop ramp works, etc. Close ups of the gun mounts and whatever those two "Guns" are suppose to be as they certainly are not M-1919A4 Brownings. The engine sounds too light to be a Gray-Marine 6-71. Stick to the subject and avoid the tractor pull and launching.
I kind of agree that it didn't much sound like a Detroit/Grey in the video, however, if you look at other videos of this same Roberts Armory LCVP, it shows footage of the engine and it's a Gray Marine 64-NH9 (That was the model of Gray's 6-71)

Incredible restoration. Great sound track.
Whether you like it or not its still part of ww2 history and played a big part of the D-Day invasion
This is very impressive!!!
Also stop the darn music for a minute so we can hear the boat ...The music is totally unnecessary lol

No music would have been better.

Asumeing it has the original Grey marine 671 , Nice !
Something seems off about this "Higgins" boat.
Average guy: what's your fishing boat?
Friends, small little boats!
This guy: FISHING FOR THEM GERMANS
if full blueprints still exist, this would be very cool to replicate
Great boat. Can you please show a link to a photo of the compass and compass binnacle. What compass was used on this boat?
That is awesome. But I think you have a pretty good leak somewhere. That bilge pump is on a lot.
Either engine cooling outlet, or is just that wood boats need to swell shut. After a day or so she'll tighten right up
AKA-16 was USS Aquarius. Check it out on Wikipedia.
My grandad served on this ship, and overseen the unloading and loading of these craft.
*forgets drain plug* 😂😂😂
How did they deploy from the larger ships?
they also had/have large ships with the same front landing ramp.
The larger ships had them hanging on large davits
Play at double speed, and skip.
I feel like to win the invasion could of had roofs
Very nice, but I hardly think it was "The boat that won the war" Helped certainly but no more than that!
Eisenhower said it
What kinda boat is this? They never mentioned it in the video 🤣🤣🤣 beautiful boat though
It’s a ( LCVP - Higgins Boat )
@@ParaMoto910 I think he was being sarcastic
Get different music. It sounds like Russian, it’s terrible. The video is awesome though.
Russians are awesome, but yeah wrong music.
Don't really need to watch the tractor back up. We don't need to see it hooked up
Horrible music
