You know you are in upmarket Nishi-Azabu when you see… Alfa Romeo 4C [0:28] Two Bentleys, parked underneath Shibuya Route Expressway [8:15] Range Rover Classic from 1990s [13:00] Another Bentley [20:18] First generation Toyota RAV4 (1994-2003) [30:37] The Greek Embassy is not far from the main Gaiennishi-dori Ave thoroughfare which runs north-south, with the avenue seen at the end of the video with an Eneos service station on the eastern side.
Hi SC. Thank you for the nice comment! You know a lot about cars. The first RAV4 was a wonderful car, and Takuya Kimura, an actor who was still very popular in Japan at the time, appeared in the commercial. I couldn't take a picture, but on this day, Mitsubishi's Debonair which was released in 1970 was parked in the garage.

Even the CD single references the RAV4 connection on the artwork cover. If you look on UA-cam, there are Japanese musicians covering the song. A very upbeat 1990s style of song! 1996 was a _long_ time ago, Mr Japan Strolls. A much simpler time. Back to the vehicle, the Toyota RAV4 was a market catalyst for the shift from passenger cars to SUVs, especially those SUVs which handled and felt closer to a car than a true 4x4. Now is a good time as any to watch Space Battleship Yamato (2010) which starred Takuya Kimura as the lead actor. The critical reviews at the time were favourable. ua-cam.com/video/F-T9-nDy4cY/v-deo.html
