Core fans? Man, if drake released a whole album like this we all know it won't do the numbers. Drake wants to provide an album that caters to a varied of people. I had people being upset that he didn't make enough songs like "I'm sexy". He wants to break records and I think, he wants to do different things.

I think what Drake meant about being a threat to White America is the amount of accomplishments he got from rapping, and the nigga is from Canada.
    .
One of the 3 greatest rapper according to the game, and he's Canadian representing the popular music of hip-hop.
    .
There's other theories, but that's my biggest reason behind that line.
    .
    .

Telling Drake how to rap and what to rap about and what you should limit putting out is wild. That man is the most talented hip hop artist ever and he knows what he’s doing.

    Here are my thoughts:
First three songs are great. The Alchemist must have thought he was being pranked and sent a terrible beat on purpose 😂 and I love Uncle Al. Last two songs definitely fell flat. Boring Cole verse, boring Drake verse on Evil Ways. And y’all know that last song horrible.
But those first three songs tho!! That was quality. Those three songs + 8 AM in Charlotte showed Drake still has a little left in his bag. Although, Drake hasn’t been the same since IYRTITL and coincidentally he got exposed for ghost writing so it’s nice to finally get some good rap songs from Drake again. I’m no hater I’m a big Drake fan, or used to be. CLB pushed me away tbh

It came time that he had to actually do something for his CORE fans that been riding with him since Comeback Season. He had to actually fucking rap again because it was actually being questioned and there was real pressure and he couldn't coast off of riding other contemporary waves and bite.

I think the White America line could have to do with him being Canadian but having so much influence on White America. I am a substitute teacher in the white suburbs. These kids talk about Drake like he’s a god.

To answer the streaming question: It does count towards the original album, since it's considered a deluxe, it's the new thing, even Kendrick, he went back and added the heart pt 5 to the album and it helps with streaming numbers etc.

Blows my mind how people don’t realise he tries to please everyone of his fans.. rich baby daddy is an awful song. That shit was a smash hit & loved by his female audience. 8am in Charlotte is loved by old heads & rap fans , with females not messing with it.
if he did an album of just this half his audience aren’t messing with it. He does an album full of R&B / singing half his audience won’t mess with it.
Which is fine. But y’all need to realise why he’s doing it all.

I loved this EP. Easily some of Drake’s best material. He was rapping and hungry. Love DEHH hope you guys never stop 💯
Also Ken is wrong about the sound being trendy. It’s not and it shows because these are some of Drake’s least streamed songs in his entire catalogue. Backpack Drake unfortunately doesn’t sell like pop Drake.
