Mercedes Aluminum Trim Cleaning

While detailing my W213 E Class wagon I noticed that the aluminium trim looked pretty spotted or etched.
Forums online sat that there was nothing that could be done to fix it, so I was ready to live with it.
While claying the glass, I decided to try claying the trim and after a few passes it looks really good. A definite improvement.
If your E Class trim looks rough maybe you'll get lucky like me and just need to clay it.
It wouldn't wipe away or wash off but the clay took care of it. 🤷‍♂️

I remove the anodized coating to make it look like new , have to use a sealant afterwards to protect the bare aluminum

I had a faint scratch on my 2021 trim. I used chemical guys # 38 polish with a spta micro polisher. It took several passes, as I didn’t want to over do it.

I got Mercedes to replace mine under warranty- but this is great in case it happens again

It should, just make sure that you use it correctly.
