- I can safely say that was my last effort on the Plaice for this year it just wasn't ment to be 🤣🤣🤣
A lot of money spent but very little return fuel, bait, time and effort oh well there's always next year.......
Hopefully next season we will get those long settle spells of weather rather than trying to get out inbetween bad weather......
As per usual the usual suspects were in abundance dogs and bass but no whiting

And I know well 99.9% know that I dropped one Plaice.....

Unlucky on the plaice but well done getting the boat out! I've given up on plaice sessions without even starting so at least you've had a successful session 😂

I didn't go to that spot as I wanted to leave it alone 😉 thats why I did hillhead spot........
And it's always happy days.....but that's it for me on the plaice.....few trips on the smuts and a few beach sessions coming up 😀
Hi Dobbo, really enjoyed the last few films. When you use braid on your reels, do you pack the spool with anything first.? And I can't remember if you use a leader...?

Yes I always put backing on the reels I generally just use old mono ideal for using it up for backing
And yes I've always used leader since the early 90s when Dynon first came out.....as braid cuts very easily I always make sure I have a couple of turns on the real generally 30-50lb shock leader depending where I'm fishing.....hope this helps and I'm glad you are enjoying the videos 😀

Well the plaice obviously weren’t there Dobbo, 😢. But at least you gave it a go. Do you think tipping with squid helps, or just attracts more doggies 🎣🐟

To be honest I only had rag with me I have tipped with squid strip and had them in the past was gutted I dropped that plaice but hey ho 🤣
Got to try though, I’m out tomorrow, didn’t bother to get any worms. Hopefully we’ll get a few hounds 🦈🐟🎣

To be honest it wasn’t that exciting, a few bream, doggies and some small smuts. All a learning curve though 🎣🐟⚓️🦈
