Galveston Criminal Attorney Mark Diaz gives updates on Galveston County Courts and is happy to report all previous repairs at the courthouse have been completed. Except for one court - all are fully open and defendants are required to appear. Even though the frequency of jury trials has been reduced, attorneys continue with jury selection.
Diaz’s understanding is court will go back to "normal" in January 2022, with jury selection back inside the courtroom, which he feels is best for everyone.
