I think its possible for the game to get lost in the glut which will be one of the saddest moments in games this year. Bramble's darkness and unique way of handling story as well as adult themes is one of the few games that seems to treat games like adults.
this game wasnt even in my radar, and Ive just spent some very weird hours on it, thanks Karak👌. Bramble is great if you liked Inside or Little Nightmares. pls do Bleak Faith Forsaken!
Just a question good sir - I'm trying to decide whether to buy this or Psychonauts 2. It seems a tough choice, as they're both unique. What would you recommend??
The lighting overall is wonderful. Shadows playing against a cave wall perfectly capture the models that they follow. Moonlight cutting through a foggy field or swampy bog are incredibly atmospheric.
I was lucky enough to be one of the testers of this game. I remember the first test, all of us were blown away by the way it looked. God, it looks even better now. Not a lot of games explore fairy tales from other cultures and all these tales are so interesting to learn about. Sweet review dude. I'm so glad it's out there! I can finally talk about it! 😅
Good work to you and your teammates. Didn't experience a single bug on ps5 in first playthrough, it turned out wonderfully, a great experience. I had some UX/usability feedback but I'm sure that will be all over Reddit etc.
The song in the end is a song that we swedish school kids used to sing in the church on the last day of school before summer (it was a tradition, don't know if it still is).
One of the biggest surprises of 2023. Fabulous visually, haunting and very dark in places. A couple of scenes really hit me. This game doesn't hold back with the death of kids. Retains the magical elements of true mythos and fairy tales without dumbing down on those darker messages. More of an experience than a game but it hits the mark.
Wow! I absolutely love it! I never even heard about it, so thank you for bringing that to me 😊 The absolutely first thing that came to mind was actually some books my parents used to read for me when I was a kid, many moons ago. They were made by a Swedish author named Elsa Beskow, specifically one story comes to mind: Children of the Forest ❤ Just had a long talk with my mum about it. She's a retired librarian, so she of course remembered straight away. Now I have a son who's 5 and a little girl on the way. I will definitely be reading those books for them. Thanks to you 😊 Oh and I'll play the game myself 😎
Man this is why I love your channel. You do the big triple A titles, the double AAs, and then games like this I never would have heard of. Best gaming channel on UA-cam.
This is one of the reasons i love your channel dude!!! Id never have heard of this game otherwise.....now i can go buy it with now worries to boot! Great vid, job well done my man!!!!
This game looks incredible! A welcome break from sword swinging or gun blasting. The images looked like they came straight out of a fable book, and the slower dynamics make it seem like it's less rushed or panicked. Thank you for this review as always, I look forward to every new one you put out.
If it wasn’t for The Last Case of Benedict Fox dropping on the same day, and me finishing Strayed Lights I would be jumping all over this on launch. Definitely be grabbing it at some point this year. By the way, Mageseeker was fantastic as well. Some fantastic indies dropped and dropping this month. Gives me plenty to play until Zelda:TotK!!! GLHF!
So I just want to say thank you for reviewing this game. If you hadn’t, I never would have bought it. This game was amazing, and you were spot on. Things like this are why you are the only reviewer I trust. Hope you’re having a good weekend.
This just went up on gamepass! I forgot all about wanting to play it until I remembered hearing some praise from this channel. I always try to avoid visual and story spoilers for games, if I can help myself. I wait until _after_ I've played a game to go back and watch reviews. I just love going into games blind, save for knowing it's not a complete dumpster fire... I know very little about Bramble, other than that it's quite pretty, and things are gonna get weird - sounds like a good time to me :D I'll be back to watch this video soon!
You're segues between topics are world class, really nail the transition between topics to make each one feel focused while also part of a cohesive and well-thought review. A small criticism is that I've found that you talk quite fast throughout. A slight slow down, I'm talking 0.9x - 0.95x, makes the video feel more naturally and less rushed.
It looks a lot lake Brothers: Tale of two Sons, which was one of my favourite games of all time. Wishlisted, thanks for the review and for looking out for these smaller titles
This channel is always a breath of fresh air when most content creators only care about telling me about games with marketing budgets that make it impossible to not know about. I always end up finding out about good games I wouldn't have heard about otherwise, great review.
I'm sure it's coming, even though I have no real interest in watching that review specifically. That's the kind of game that most people already know how they feel about, and every UA-camr with over 1000 subs is gonna find a reason to talk about it. That's not against the people who like the game or want that review, it's just not the kind of review I need from him. I already know how I feel about star wars and the new Jedi games with Cal in them, and I'm mostly speaking about his coverage of titles that aren't already being boosted in every other ad
This is a great game. Really one people should not miss. And it looks sooooo good too. Fun for me as a Norwegian to play a game with all the childhood monsters and stories i grew up with. And the swedish song in the game is so fitting. Dont sleep on this people. Get it now. It aint that expensive either.
Loving the game, and I love the use of the speaker on the dual sense controller, you can hear the creaking of furniture in those abandoned huts, or the swarm of flies flying over the corpses, great for atmosphere
It's a shame that more youtube gamers have not reviewed this game. Many of them claim they support indie games, but never review them. They think those games will not get as many views as a AAA game, despite many AAA games these days tend to suck. In terms of indie games, Bramble fits right at the top, alongside the likes of Inside, Little Nightmares, and Limbo.
It felt like such a sublime and mysterious adventure game at first, but for me was completely ruined by the tedious boss battles. I don't have the time, so deleted the game.
Hearing "Den blomstertid nu kommer" in the end made me wish for June instead of chilly april. What a haunting version tho! Such a pretty little game, hitting on nostalgia strings since the forest looks like it did/does where I grew up in mid-Sweden, they catched the lightning and colors perfectly! And, the stories I read as a child 🙂

Watched a streamer playthrough of it and it is really good for the most part based on what I have seen. I would have picked it up but it's hard for me to justify spending 45 (probably 60 where I live) dollars on a game that seems to only be about 3 to 5 hours long. What's there is good, so I would have no issue recommending this game to a friend if they like these type of games in general, but it would come with the caveat that it is quite short.

Bramble is a small but promising looking game and I hoped you would cover it ACG. Don't sleep on The Last Case of Benedict Fox too. It's out tomorrow.
Sometimes i grow so tired...
But i know Ive got one thing I got to do...
Bramble On...
It's really interesting to hear my own native language in a game like this :) Nice review as always!
Thanks for always being the best reviewer and highlighting these smaller games.
This is my favorite kind of game. Amazing art direction, unique setting. mature story.
Wonderful job as always. Thank you acg
Didn’t know anything about this game. But sounds like it may be my jam. And a good palate cleanser between big games.
Never heard of it but at the beginning of the review I thought it looked cool..heard you say fraggle rock and now I’m buying it lol
Haven’t heard of this game before. I’m interested. Thanks
Looks great, I’ve never gotten into a game like this but I’m always down to try
If you like it, you gotta play little nightmares. It's very similar, and easily the best game in the genre.
@@IceBurg420 I always thought little nightmares looked great artistically but didn't want to play it. Loved bramble though, U think little nightmares is better?
