i have bushwhackers, on 2016 chevy silverado, and my flares dont have that preload lip, and they fit like shit , i will never buy shit from bush whacker again
So glad I came across this video… I just tried to install a pair on my 18 GMC Sierra and following the instructions it said to start the top two factory bolts and the rear two… so I put the rear two in just a bit and tried to get the top two in but the flare wouldn’t go in enough to get those bolts started and the front and the back of the top of flare didn’t sit flush on the fender… I was thinking I got sent the wrong flares, I tried to call but closed on the weekend … I ended up taking it off and putting the stock gmc fender trim back on and was waiting till Monday to call and find what was wrong… but now I can try again tomorrow and I’m sure this will fix my issue… I never tried to do the rears… but I will also make sure this is done on them as well… thanks for this video
I'm having the same problem with a 2019 ram 1500. The flares are obviousely different, but there is no "inner bracket" on the back side. I think it's just a bad fit. There's some other flaws on these like the channel for the rubber gasket isn't cut perfectly. I had to use a dremmel to fix that.
I have a set of flares what can you do about scratching from dirt build up? The gaskets I was supplied don’t keep dirt out they just build dirt which vibrates into the paint while driving
