We need more of this!!! Kudos Pastors and all glory to the one that moves us. Thank you brothers! A seriously wonderful conversation! I would like to read the piece that Pastor Taylor wrote. How can I find this?
Pastor Brett which article? All of our articles can be found either on the Agros Blog on our website (agroschurch.com) or Taylor's blog (youngtextlessreformed.com)
I debated RC Sproul on several different issues. He treated me with a great deal of respect, and though we disagreed, we remained civil towards each other. Dr. Michael Brown told me on his line of fire broadcast, he will not debate me because I do not have a doctorate in any area.
@@theyoungtextlessandreforme7113 Pastor Taylor, That does not surprise me. He only picks on people he thinks he can bully, and if not then he closes his comments so no one can respond. Thanks for your time today.
Greetings! When you talk of having unity within a bible translation (rather than what’s taking place today where every sect is banning together over this or that agreeable translation) are you specifically referring to the TR or the KJV? Can you have a translation other than the KJV that the foundation is from the TR? What I’m trying to glean is that the TR is the inspired word of God , does that automatically mean that the KJV is the only inspired translation into English? Thanks...great show btw
At one point you contrasted Dirk Jongkind to Stephanus. What I’ve read and seen from Dr. Jongkind has made me think that he is a good bible believing Christian. Is there something particularly bad about Dr. Jongkind? Or is there something particularly good about Stephanus? Genuine question.
The level of scholarship is starkly different. Stephanus knew the languages better. He also believed that Scripture was totally preserved, whereas Jongkind believes we have been given "good access"
@@BiblicalStudiesandReviews I think it was evident in his work. It was not full of emendations or uncertain notes. Take one look at sinaiaticus online. It is a jumbled mess of in text emendations.
i just went through all of Mark Ward's youtube videos, and i have never seen any one so set on dethroning the KJV and it ends up being just annoying... he is working *so* hard to try to convince us to just *drop* the KJV... but of course, all his effort will just cause the very opposite result, i think... and i wonder what exactly he is trying to do, is it to *replace* the KJV? but that has been tried for over 100 years, and to an extent, for many, it *is* already "replaced" but the KJV is what it is, no matter updatings and revisions, they will just be *additional* versions and companions anyway... so, if he wants to try his luck in "updating" the KJV, it would simply be one of several that already exist!, the KJV is what it is and it would not simply cease to be in circulation ... and it makes me wonder about his whole *motive* for it... and is he trying to stop the KJV from being printed and published as it is?... even if someone managed to produce such a result, there would suddenly pop up numerous others that would start printing and publishing the "old" KJV... and you are right about his rhetoric ...
Mark Ward could produce a KJV with his "false friends" in the *margin* if he is so concerned about it... that would be the most he could do anyway... and even if he made his own "KJV", he would just add to something that already exists... :-)
one of the main problems is that the "Evangelical" textual scholars of today, is not real Evangelical in the traditional sense, i.e. the sense of the 19th century... they may be instead called "neo-evangelical" and "neo-orthodox", at least when it comes to the text and version issues.. that seems to be the sad truth...
I think there is something to be said for the person that believes the KJV is Gods perfect word simply because when they read the words, the words have power and the Holy Ghost guides them into that truth. Textual criticism takes you down the path of believing the kjv is Gods word simply because of evidence, whereas the believing it just based off of its words.. Faith is the evidence and faith cometh by the hearing of Gods word, not from textual criticism. If you have to go with the kjv because of textual criticism that's defeating the purpose of the words of God actually having power and piercing through the heart and creating faith.
You should be in a Bible study. You give a Bible quote. Response the Greek really means or the best texts say, in other words they are a disaster. Blessings.
Thank you both for these recent videos.
Thank you. Hope they were helpful.

Dr. Brown is one of my least favorite people parading around as an "expert"
James White disrespected me because I do not have a Doctorate in theology. He refuses to debate me, and even blocked me, calling me a KJV onlyist.
It's funny because White doesn't have a legitimate doctorate

Taylor, thanks. How do we know that Stephanus knew the languages better? Again genuine question.

Pastor,
I hope you don't mind that I took the liberty of answering here.
Also that Stephanus is my choice of Greek readings.
Excellent discussion

Psalm 119:160 KJV
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

What's the deal with the whole "Reverend" title?
It's just another name for pastor
A man who is ordained by a Church body is given the title "Reverend". It is an ordained minister.
I'm sincerely asking, when did this begin? Is it a historical throwback thing? Because to my knowledge it's not based on the text of scripture.
Authorized Mike google it
