    I too was given narcotics for endometriosis at 16. By 25 I was shooting heroin. I’ve been clean since 12/21/20 by the Grace of God I’m turning 43 this year. We do recover you can do it you just have to decide you want to live more than you want to die. You are worth it- life is so good. I pray you find this freedom for yourself someday.

    Tryin to harsh our vibe…Hahahahaha, I love this! I am one of those old people, but unfortunately I live in the Midwest. I broke my back in 2001 and for the next 20 years my doctors helped my addiction with every strong pain medication known to man. I have been clean for almost two years and I hope you get there too! @@life_withl. I feel you! I was put on a narcotic schedule at 20, OxyContin. “Welcome to the world of adult problems!” I’m sorry to hear you got off to such a hard start, too! I had a functional 1 ounce bladder capacity, it was cracked and bleeding, and I had failed intravesical chemotherapy. Got diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, a year later. My doctor said Interstitial Cystitis was associated with SA, for some reason. I had my first screaming bladder pain ER visit, at age 7. It turns out I just needed a course of antibiotics for an atypical sexually transmitted bladder infection, and just needed a course of antibiotic for simple atypical cystitis (for ureaplasma, a type of mycoplasma infection). Too bad I found out 30+ years later, because it does wreck the bladder permanently, after a while. There are a lot of us with similar stories. It’s huge that you pulled yourself out of that! I got off it, then got kicked in the head and neck with steel toed boots, at 25. Got put on another schedule. I wasn’t addicted, prior, and didn’t ask for opioid medication. People need to know Purdue’s mental muscle intentionally spread that rumor as a way to cover their behind. It’s a matter of public record, not a conspiracy theory, at this point. I love how when Mark said, “You don’t have show up to work on Monday,” this guy replied, “Just every day,” without missing a beat. Cool of Mark to not disagree with him! It’s a lot of work to be homeless and addicted, just like it’s work to recover. If you can survive addiction, you’ve got what it takes. Hope life is going better for you, today! ❤

    Tomorrow I am celebrating 5 years clean off of crack cocaine and alcohol. I had to hit the lowest bottom every in my life to finally get sick and tired of doing the same thing all day every day. The first couple years was tough for me big time but I always made it through with perseverance. I absolutely love my life now I still don't have much but a heated room over my head and a full time job for almost 4 years now. I have my life today and my family back. They are putting fentynal in the crack cocaine now which will kill you so fast. Sorry I want my family and my life to much. Keep pushing for the sick and suffering. You will know when it's your time so don't rush it. Love yourself!!!

    I had a compound fracture to my femur, fractured my lower back in 4 places, and my pelvis was broken on both sides. I was only 16 and was prescribed oxys, fentanyl patches and muscle relaxers. They had me in a pain managment clinic taking 15mg oxycodone 4-6 times a day. I was there at the pain clinic til I was 18 and they abruptly took my pain meds and started taking people off of their meds all across the country at the same time. Pretty soon, I was shooting heroin and meth. I hear this kind of story from so many people. The drug companies are making addicts and so many people and their families are suffering for it.

    I'm from Naples, Florida and just moved back to Cape Coral for a short period of time and tried getting my adderall that i was prescribed for while living in Pennsylvania and Sweet Lord...2 months MADE me quit cold turkey because not one single pharmacy "has it in stock." I thought I was literally going to die going throughout such withdrawal. I mean, I was prescribed 20mg tablets 3 times a day. I just don't understand how something could be so easily accessible at all pharmacies up north and NOPE, forget it down south.

    To me, it seems like an we have an intergenerational vicious cycle which is responsible for our deep-rooted problems in society. Parents who are never taught how to fully experience. Their emotions cannot teach their kids how, and then this pattern repeats. I think it’s likely been this way for centuries, if not millennia! It’s not the parents fault, though, they weren’t given the tools either. Overtime, we’ve become so focused on intellect and productivity that we’ve learned, either by someone deliberately telling us not to think about something, or them helping us to get our mind off something, to suppress our emotions. We, as a society, view emotions as “less than“ when compared to logic or rational thought, and I think this is a huge problem. The suppression of emotions doesn’t make them go away, and it certainly doesn’t resolve them. This suppression often leads to repression and ultimately this can turn into depression.

    • @healthyfreesoul
      @healthyfreesoul 14 годин тому

      Lot of truth here... what's missing is the why, why we have this intergenerational vicious cycle. Society is purposely arranged to be so, it's the greed, the wealth gap - the uber wealthy ruling class leeching off the people. It's indoctrinating material success in university education. It's a medical establishment aided by govts to shove adderall down a 6 year old's throat while his mom works her ass off just to survive.
      Though psychological discussion is key, it does little to help society heal if we don't clean out the rot that runs the world.
      The paradigm shift is underway, the new earth is being born, we can do this people! 🙏🏽♥️✨🌎🌙🌎

      That's a misconception, you EASILY can die from fentanyl withdrawal for a multitude of reasons. Dehydration, complications from living on the street, or shitty healthcare providers not understanding what it's doing to your body. Also, tranq is in most things so the detox isn't really even medically managed. You have no idea how nasty it is, whenever I see oversimplifications like this it just makes me so sad for the world. Please stop spreading misinformation.

Some of us use it as fuel to better ourselves, others adopt a victims mentality like this guy. Your virtue signalling might make you feel better about yourself but one day you'll realise the high horse you're riding is just a mirage created by your ego.
