They are using the families of the babies that died as a reason to stifle debate on Letby's guilt. "How upsetting for the families!" they say, and it is. But would they not prefer to know the truth, even if it is not that of the court verdict? They are not allowed to say. On the other hand, how upsetting would it be for an innocent nurse, wrongly convicted, to find she will die in prison with no hope of release? I don't know any of these people and have no dog in the fight. I want to know the truth, and if there is guilt I want those who are guilty exposed and punished.

Totally agree about Lucy wanting to get back on the unit. What 'serial killer' would stay, knowing they've been 'rumbled' and everyone is calling them 'Nurse Death'? It's ridiculous and so obvious she's innocent! Any 'serial killer' would have fled the hospital long ago and carried on their murderous spree in another part of the country or even in another country.

A very similar case in the Netherlands of Lucia de Berg. The 'death nurse' who was sentenced to life imprisonment and after some years in prison she was freed in one of the greatest miscarriages of justice. The person who helped her, I think is Dr Gill, said that Lucy Letby is most likely innocent.

If you take a look at the videos that exist online her friends are still confident that she is innocent and one said she will only change her mind if Lucy Letby come forward and confesses. The press tried to capitalise on the story and many of the newspapers forgot the presumption of innocence and she was convicted in the court of public opinion and on the mainstream media.

Surely, this should set alarm bells ringing, I am not saying they caused the deaths intentionally, but if this is true? The two witnesses gained from Lucy's conviction.

You are absolutely spot on... confirmation biased, bullying and expectations of supposed normal behaviour, you have so eloquently explained... my daughter is the same age as Lucy was when first accused of murder... she's 25 but still brings her washing round and needs mummy when she's upset, even though she lives independently... the way that Lucy conducted herself was incredible for somebody who had been through so much trauma at a young age
I was particularly disgusted by the photographs put in the newspapers of her bedroom, teddy bear, unmade bed.... I saw it as an intrusion comparable with rape... without being stereotypical, a young blonde.. imagine how many perverts fantasized ... her personal stuff exposed all over the newspapers..
I hope you make more videos. If you're not in touch with Mark Mayes, Richard Gill etc. Thank you I've shared this video around.

I don't know nearly enough about this case to comment on her guilt or innocence, but comparing material photographs to ra*e is absolutely crazy, in my mind anyway.
Let's just imagine for a moment that Lucy makes a full, detailed confession that leaves zero room for doubt, such is its accuracy, would you still compare those photos to the unimaginably egregious and brutal act that is ra*e?

The soul of the NHS has gone I don't even know why it has the same name. Blair sold the name. When i trained you had more or less free accommodation, good canteens and although you were paid little you 'felt'. looked after and you believed in what you were doing. All that's gone.

A very insightful video. The Letby case is of a type familiar to medical statisticians whereby a nurse (it always is a nurse for reasons that are worthy of further consideration) is accused of murder where there is an apparent unexplained cluster of deaths. These are inevitable in any healthcare system due to variations in the quality of care and the health of the patients. It is now emerging that the hospital and medical staff in question were seriously sub standard and this is sufficient to understand the likely causes of the increase in deaths involved. There is always a personal element to the singling out of a particular nurse, in Letby’s case her diligence and commitment seem even to have worked against her. Despite warnings not to fall into this trap the police and CPS did precisely that, pushed along by the fantastical theories of the zealot Evans who had managed to insinuate himself into the case. It is only because of the intervention of genuine experts and people of goodwill that the case has any chance of being rectified.

Being a nurse and experiencing the witch hunt nature of 2 fellow colleagues (they were anything but) I was accused and investigated internally for accusations found to be no case to answer not being told what was levelled at me. It was 9 months after I walked from my job and received a letter from the professional regulator that I was being investigated for the exact same allegations. I was investigated and again no case to answer was the outcome, even though some might say I won it did not feel anything like it, my accusers both registered nurses get to walk away have lied and perjured themselves and I am left destroyed with not one bit of support from my then union and regulator. I suspect there are many others like me who have experienced such hostility and are left to rot.

Another fantastic video 👍 Fab work 👍 I have personally experienced CPTSD from undiagnosed ADHD and undiagnosed blood cancer. The NHS failed me. My blood cancer was discovered when I had 6 months left to live, and my ADHD was not diagnosed until I was 45. I have recently been without my ADHD medication due to a site move, and like Lucy, that was not my fault. Coming off medication suddenly can have a serious impact on your mental health. I never believed she was guilty for a second, due to my first hand experience of system failiures, and I know what it feels like to be criticised and rejected over and over again, to the point that you cannot function and feel unable to carry on. I have also been subjected to name calling. The way that Lucy has been treated is disgusting, and I sincerely hope and pray that Lucy is released, and that your powerful and thought provoking videos will cause people to see a different perspective here. Well done, and thank you for what you are doing 👍
