The BMW M760i may have a V12, but the S8 has much better looks on its side with not much less power. Everything about this car is perfect IMO.

The D4 was the last great gen. Not too many sensors that might go wrong, relatively easy to service on your own, and still has parts available, both OEM and Aftermarket. Not to mention the tuning capabilities with a simple ECU tune and down pipes.
From a long time owner's perspective, I'm not too sure about the new steel chassis of the D5. The aluminium chassis from the D2-D4 gen was amazing and it ensures the car will outlive you. If anything, the electronics will rot away faster than any power train issues that might come up.
