Do we need to fill the children’s data in section b of form 5406e if all the children are Canadian residents and not dependants? Filling it for my Mom. Thanks 😊
Hello, In Section D of the online from it says the following : Section D: Personal history Provide the details of your personal history for the past 10 years, or since your 18th birthday if it was less than 10 years ago. Start with the most recent information. Under “Activity,” write your occupation or job title if you were working. If you were not working, provide information on what you were doing (for example, unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention). If you were outside your country or territory of nationality, indicate your status in the country or territory you were in. Note: Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time But In IMM 5771E ( Document checklist) it says in #3 : Note : For Section D, if the principal applicant or a dependent has not worked in the past 10 years (e.g., the are retired), they must provide details of their personal history since the age of 18 I am confused as to which instruction to follow ? Should i follow whats said in the main application or in the check list?
Thank you for the info, what if I am currently unemployed and not on government assistance but i meet the income requirement for the past three years . I am currently doing an unpaid internship? Can I still apply?
Just go ahead and apply. Your current circumstances won’t impact as long as you have funds in your account to show. Unemployment is a norm in Canada and also temporary. If this was the case almost 70% won’t be eligible

@@canadatriedandtestedoriginal just one question to double check just last question .. so they mentioned that dependent over 18 must fill separate forms for family information and everything. Hi all the updates happen in one GC key of Primary applicant. If you don’t get this by default. You can upload in additional documents section and include this info as Letter of Explanation
Hi there, I am confused on the " *Supporting Documents for your immigration program (required)", is this the document for the primary applicant of is it for the Sponsor? Thanks a lot. I badly need your insight ASAP.
you only added one 1 person details right ? if parents (both mom and dad) are coming, how to upload their passport, travel dicuments, financial status, photos and rest ? both needs to be merged and make a single pdf and upload ? how to name for that while upload ?
Hi there , you mentioned uploading police certificate in the application , but on the documents checklist at the bottom of it it says : Do no include ploice certificate at this time and that it will be requested later in the application process. please advise . thank you !
I am confused if there should be 1 or 2 applications. I as the sponsor, I do not make an application right? Only the applicant (person being sponsored) makes an application. I put my sponsor forms inside the applicants application if I understand correctly. So there is only 1 application total.
Hi don’t worry, anyone would get confused especially doing this application. Primary applicant will open the profile as I have shown in video and you as sponsor will provide all required sponsor document which will be attached by applicant along with other relevant documents. Go slow, organize everything and you will be good. If you feel anything needs explanation and will make it easy for reviewing person use letter of explanation. LMK if you are stuck anywhere.

Hello sir after submitting parents sponsorship application, when I downloaded application,it showing me document checklist empty . What should I do now .i have not got AoR yet
Hi there, thanks for making this video. The form which I received says that I am invited to apply to sponsor my parents and grandparents. The link of the PDF file that I click is asking to create an account. Who create the account and fill the form? Me as the sponsor (from Canada) or my parents as applicants ( from their country)? Sorry if I ask this basic question, because it is very confusing. Thank you
Hi it can be confusing for everyone at start. To make it easy let one of the parents be primary applicant and create account, you as a sponsor will complement and provide necessary supporting documents for them to upload. They will need to keep check on any updates they get in the mail. Hope this helps
Love your videos. Asking for a friend. I was wondering what’s the process to inform IRCC , if after coming to canada on 4 year program and then change it to 2 year program.
Not asking for any immigration program. My friend came to canada with 4 year program. Now he has changed to 2 year program. As far as I know we have to inform IRCC about this so that in future we don’t face issue with work permit or PR. Cos he has 4 year study permit with university name on it but now he is in 2 year college program. So, my question is how do we inform IRCC? Or what’s the process if you have an idea about this.
Hi, thanks for the video its been really helpful. Any idea for parents birth certificate if its not available what is the alternative? can 10th marksheet be valid?

@@canadatriedandtestedoriginal 36:20 - Under "Supporting Documents" it has that "Proof of Status". Will that be my Canadian Passport to show my status as a sponsor?

My case is I am Canadian and applying for my father, but my mother is passed away. What do I do in that case? Do I add my mother as dependent in the profile list?
Mother name by default gets asked. In that section mother will be shown as deceased and in father’s status as married (which was his last status). Rest you will get to see when you fill the application

Hi do they have any other government documents where DOB is mentioned. You can use letter of explanation to explain that at the time of their birth birth certificate was not mandatory and their DOB is mentioned in other government documents school documents etc. passport has DOB mentioned. Let me see if I I can publish video. It’s a common question
Hi , what documents can i provide if i don’t have a marriage certificate, is there a proof i can add. Do i need a police clearance for my parents as well from india??
Hi has IRCC asked for PCC now. If not it is not required. I am not sure your marriage year. India has a mandate that anyone who is married after 2000’s needs to have a marriage certificate. Is there any other document to establish your marriage? Anywhere both husband and wife are mentioned? Like bank account, property document etc. with these document and letter of explanation I would have added notarized affidavit that we don’t have marriage certificate however these documents which are there for ages establish the relationship. Again I am no expert applicant like you. If possible apply for marriage registration certificate.
Very informative video ,helped me a lot . I have a question while filling supplementary travel information for main applicant and spouse it asks to fill for any kid 18 or over’s travel history as well . My brother is 37 and still in India he definitely not a dependent but does have extensive travel history do I need to fill the travel information as well ? My younger brother and I are in within canada we don’t fill ours right ? Please advise !
Hi please see the latest I got from IRCC this should give you lead. When earlier form was submitted no non dependent details were filled. And in this recent one no travel info for non dependent was filled
@@canadatriedandtestedoriginal thank you for replying but does it mean we need to fill travel history for non dependent over age of 18 for main applicant ?
For me Supporting documents have an * sign that it is required. It is on birth certificate too now. Do you know what should i do, i dont have birth certificate of my mother.
Hi sharing from personal experience, Primary applicant in our case don't have birth certificate however marks card, government ID, passport and Government issued Unique ID has the date of birth mentioned so a detailed letter of explanation was submitted that some of them are government given document which supports the date of birth. Our applicant is in progress and IRCC has not raised further question on this. Instead of birth certificate passport was uploaded in upload section. Hope this helps.

Hello Sir! My mother is trying to pay the fees online now but it’s not letting her log in to her same ircc account that she is using for her application. That account is working fine otherwise. Any idea how to fix this payment issue ?
Hi I am aware CGI in US issue non availability of birth certificate to Indian citizens. Can you check with CGI in Canada if they do so. If you get it add that in explanation section and upload passport in birth certificate section. If not you can add the reason for not having birth certificate. If born in village you can add that in letter of explanation with documents like Indian driving license, marks card and passport having the date of birth mentioned. As long as it is consistent and conveyes the person identity with DOB it should not be a problem
I am sponsoring permanent residence for my parents. 3.14 seconds into the video I'm a little confused. Will my information come here as an applicant or my mother or father?
Hi even if you have sponsored applicant will be parents. In the video I have shown sponsor section where sponsor details are filled. I found it easy when doing. Hope this helps
Hi there is a spouse section in the form where status gets selected as deceased. Have you started with form. Since the deceased person cannot be dependent form will take care of this.
Hello, I received PGP invitation recently. My question is, I don't remember whose name (my Mother or Father) I used for primary applicant in the Interest to sponsor form back in 2020. How can I find that information ? thank you in advance!
Hi i guess name is not mentioned in the invite you got. Let me revert with correct info meanwhile can you reach IRCC( I know it is pain calling them) but incase they pick the phone you might get direct info
I got the invitation to apply, I am a business owner (100%) and decide the T4 amount every year. in the past 3 years I don't meet the requirement as my line 15000 shows. But my business income is above. what can I do?
Hi is business sole proprietor or corporation? In both case that is a business and not your money unless it comes to you as salary or dividends. This is my understanding.
If you have well and good. If you don’t have just write in Letter of Explanation that this was not mandatory in India prior to 2006, here is one of the references revenue.delhi.gov.in/sites/default/files/revenue/nf/marriage-order-english_version.pdf. Add this link too and also add any other government documents where they are shown as spouse which I guess they should have. You can add any other resources like I have shared to reaffirm this. Also when you applied for PR you would have declared your parents name and if citizen again you would have done that. Add that to Letter of Explanation
Hello, I have a few questions related to PGP. 1) My parents do not have a marriage certificate. So what can I upload to show the proof? 2) What additional documents do you recommend we upload to help with the application? 3) What documents are required to show proof of relationship between sponsor and the principal applicant other than birth certificate?
Hi there are few things you can do. 1. Share link that it was not mandatory in India until 2016 to have marriage certificate. If any of the other documents mentions them as spouse, pension/ cghs/ insurance which mentions the spouse as nominee etc can be added as letter of explanation. For the proof of relationship, you would have submitted India passport during PR. Give the UCI reference as India passport has both parents name. Let me know if you don’t find it
Hello sir, i want to know as my father was a government teacher so do i need to fill the form 0149 or this is just for military service or police service only?? Secondly for the photo uplaod do i need to upload only front side.
Hello Sir, my father and mother doesn't have marriage certificate and birth certificate but I have got affidavit for both certificates so should I upload those affidavits under certificate option and then Letter of explanation. Also, if possible can you please share template for letter of explanation. Like for explanation should I explain everything in one letter or there should be two different letters for each certificate?
Hi in our case we used one letter of explanation to cover everything(Individually - one for each person). It makes easy to cover everything at one place and upload one file. Do they have any other document where they are shown as husband and wife to add to letter of explanation? India passport has date of birth and spouse detail.
@navjotgrewal6412 sure then show spouse relationship as in passport, notarized affidavit and if any other document where they have their names mentioned as spouse(if they have). All will be good
For template don’t worry there is no standard format. Mention in letter of eco, Marriage certificate. No marriage certificate as it was not mandatory during the time they were married. Submitting notarized affidavit and also passport and other documents where both have shown spouse name and you have mentioned their names as parents during student visa/work permit/pr and citizenship. Hope this helps. This is what we did and no issues till date
Thank you lot very useful information. Do we need to update sponsors CV, Proof of Status and Birth Certificate? Like for me should I upload mine as I am sponsoring my parents?? Thank you!!
Your video is very helpful. thank you very much, I just got a question, I am a bit confused with regards to the question of government position. Is it only for those who serve the government as politician, civil servant, police or military? My father worked as a regular municipal employee under department of agriculture in our home country. Do I need to indicate that in IMM 5669 under government position and complete an IMM 0149 - Details of Government Employment? Hope you can help me. Thank you in advance.
Hi I will have to check this part. As you rightly said if it is military, police or any intelligence, politcs related thing for sure this has to be filled. Let me revert on this. Letter of explanation is a great place to mention that person was government employee and basic duties or role with a closest NOC/TEER code and specifically mention no military service as it is not mandatory in country. This will give no room for guesswork. I will go over the application once and revert.
Paaji, do we only need to upload passport and other supporting document of principal applicant? I'm applying for both my father and mother. My father will be principal applicant and mother will be dependent and accompanying. Do I need to provide passport, birth certificate, police certificate etc for my mother as well? If yes, where do we upload that?
Hi both applicant documents needs to go. Have you started with the application best is to start with the application and see what all comes. I have shown the upload section I used to submit document
Foreign passport is the primary document to be used to establish a date of birth record for IRCC purposes. Hi, My parents lived in Canada for more than 6 Months on a visitor visa. in the previous country of residence section, it asks for the start date and end date of immigration status. What start date and end date do I have to enter? is it their travel dates to Canada or the visitor visa start date and expiry date?
In IMM 0008, you need to provide the dates that reflect your parents' actual stay in Canada if they lived there for more than six months on a visitor visa not the visa start and expiry date. This is as per logic, I suggest you do your due diligence to be sure of this as I am not a immigration consultant but an applicant like you.
Sir, i am on PR and my wife application is already in process for PR under Inland family class , i am eligible to sponsor my parents on PR , they already have supervisa
Hi I dont know the answer however when filling the application I did see the section where they were asking if you have sponsored anyone else and my guess is that this was related to checking financial information. Can you check other forums to know the details.
My in laws have received an invitation to apply for PR. Unfortunately, my father in law has passed away. My question is when I am starting an application of PR for my mom in law, what should I put under dependent? Should I just add my father in law information and under the tab : :Is the dependent accompanying you?", I can select NO? Thanks in advance!
Hi make your MIL Primary Applicant and in spouse detail you have option to show deceased. I suggest start doing application slowly and you will start to find answers. If stuck drop a comment
Same situation. So father is marked as deceased. And my brother is 35 and sister is 42 yrs old and she in Australia. Do I need tell that as well on file ?
If it says dependent children details they both are not part of the list. If not mentioned you can include them. Also father’s details can be updated in the section. Please start with Application and you will start figuring out
Hi, thanks for the informative video. I do have 2 questions. 1. My mother’s passport is expiring in feb 2025. Would it affect the application? Should i renew now ? P.S. i have to submit the application but Aug 2 so not sure if i have enough time for renewal? Or would be it be fine and in case they need the updated passport they will send an email to me later? 2. My parents live separately though its not legal separation. Also, we cant seem to find marriage certificate, my mom doesn’t have it with her but she said they made it, no way we can get it. My question is what is option for me should i mention married and add letter of explanation for missing marriage certificate or if we mention separate would they be asking for ang legal document again? Thanks !!!
Hi there, thank you for the info. My parents are citizens of India but right now they are in Europe. I got the invitation to apply for Canada PR. But they don't have marriage certificate. I know we can get a affidavit but not sure if it has to be in India or they can get an affidavit from Europe notary aswell?
Hi getting it done from Europe(if they do it should be fine) authorities generally accept notarized affidavits from notaries outside India, as long as the document is properly notarized and includes all necessary details. You can add in letter of explanation that your parents are in Europe and this will give clarity why the notary is from Europe. Hope this helps.
I only put request for my father during 2020 pool can i put my mother as supporting also since I got invited for my father? Or i have to only send my father information for pr?
Hi Asma, I am sharing the link www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5772-application-sponsor-parents-grandparents.html#apply-principal
As per this Principal Applicant who is your father is suppose to include your mother(if dependent) in his application. All the dependent family members, whether accompanying the principal applicant to Canada or not, must be declared on the application and be examined. If family members are not examined, it is not possible to sponsor them at a later date. So if I were you I would include mother in the application and show required fund for two people. Was there a reason not to Include her in the sponsor application?
This is so much helpful sir. One question if parents doesn’t have the birth certificates But they have 10th certificate of qualification (in which date of birth is written) will that be okay to upload instead of birth certificates ?
In absence of birth certificate, please use letter of explanation and mention the reason why birth certificate is not available(for example birth in village where no official record maintained earlier or was not mandatory) and instead 10th certificate has date of birth mentioned and so is passport(their date of birth will be mentioned) and that should suffice. Upload 10th certificate in this section.
Great content. Thank you. I have a question- i applied for both of my parents (Father and mother). Now, when i fill out an application, Im basically doing that for my father as he is the principal applicant? Also, uploading the supporting documents (passport, photo etc) for him. But what about my mother? When do i have to upload her passport, photo? Also, there will be one fee for both (father and mother) or two separate fees?
Hi PR process takes a long time(More than 6 months for sure). Will they be here for that long? If not you have your answer. Is it visitor visa or supervisa?
Okay Supervisa holders can stay in Canada for up to two years per visit without the need to renew their status so considering they will be with you for this 2 years duration you can mention residence address as Canada and make sure you use Letter of Explanation, add super visa copy and inform that they will be here for 2 years considering after submission within this time they will get the PR and their India address is (where they currently dont stay as they are in Canada). Hope this helps
I have question regarding dependents 1) if another's child are over age 22 & doe required the information to fill even though not eligble? if yes What is the reason 2) parents is present in canada & on vistted canada 3 times but less than 6 month does still required to fill the information 3) spouse is deceased still required all information
Hi I am an applicant like you. IRCC recently send me communication to update two form. Here are the details Update on PR application submitted does not meet the requirements ua-cam.com/video/AZAhie77c2Y/v-deo.html. This will take care of your question 1.
For second question I am not sure about the answer. If there is requirement you can mention. There is no harm as long as they have been within valid timeframe.
For spouse, in detail section you will have to fill details just like applicant and there is a dropdown in that section where you choose “deceased “. Hope this helps. Always do your due diligence with information which you find on internet 🛜
Hi, i will applying for my mother’s PR under PGP in June,2024 and her passport is expiring in June,2025. Do you think she will need to have new passport?
Hi PR process takes time. If you can get a tatkal photo done. The other option is to write in letter of explanation and mention that the passport expiry is after one year and the passport will be renewed before expiry(6 months for eg) and then submit new details through web form when you have the new passport. Don’t worry as long as you are stating facts all is good. 👍
I have few more questions. 1) shall I merge both parents passport and similarly other documents together, name accordingly and then upload because there is only one place to upload? 2) do i have to upload both side of the photos(back side containing stamp? 3) in document checklist it says do not provide PCC now, they will request. So shall I wait for them to request PCC? Thanks
Hello Sirji, I am filling up forms for pgp 2024, just wanted to check 2 things please: 1) my mother(principal applicant, no dependant) has been living with me on supervisa here in Canada since last year (Oct 2023) and will continue living until end of 2026. In the form IMM 0008 should I put her current country of residence as India or Canada? I don’t want her medical request, passport request etc to go to India and would rather do them here, please advise. 2) I am attaching my father’s death certificate with the application, I am attaching the original (Hindi) along with translated copy (which is notarized as well in India in July 2023) do I need to get it translated here in Canada by IRCC approved translator? Or the Indian translated and notarized death certificate will be enough? Please advise, appreciate your time
For Current country of residence on form IMM 0008, mention Canada since she is on supervisa. She should list her current country of residence as Canada. This accurately reflects her living situation and ensures that IRCC processes her application with the understanding that she is in Canada. Also add this remark in Letter of Explanation additionally. This will help ensure that any requests for medical exams, passport submissions, and other requirements are sent to her in Canada rather than India, aligning with your preference and practical needs.

If you were outside your country or territory of nationality, indicate your status in the country or territory you were in. Note: Please ensure that you do not leave any gaps in time
But In IMM 5771E ( Document checklist) it says in #3 :
Note : For Section D, if the principal applicant or a dependent has not worked in the past 10 years (e.g., the are retired), they must provide details of their personal history since the age of 18

Hello sir after submitting parents sponsorship application, when I downloaded application,it showing me document checklist empty . What should I do now .i have not got AoR yet
Hi there, thanks for making this video. The form which I received says that I am invited to apply to
sponsor my parents and grandparents.
Thank you 👍
@turtle7west welcome. LMK if any other questions too
Love your videos. Asking for a friend. I was wondering what’s the process to inform IRCC , if after coming to canada on 4 year program and then change it to 2 year program.
Sorry I haven’t understood the question. What program here being talked about
Not asking for any immigration program.

Where is the 5768 form will be uploaded?
My parents dont have a birth certificate and they are currently living with me in Canada so cannot get one from India. What can I do?
Hi I am aware CGI in US issue non availability of birth certificate to Indian citizens. Can you check with CGI in Canada if they do so. If you get it add that in explanation section and upload passport in birth certificate section. If not you can add the reason for not having birth certificate. If born in village you can add that in letter of explanation with documents like Indian driving license, marks card and passport having the date of birth mentioned. As long as it is consistent and conveyes the person identity with DOB it should not be a problem

Is parent's marriage certificate mandatory for parents PR?

Also, if possible can you please share template for letter of explanation. Hi in our case we used one letter of explanation to cover everything(Individually - one for each person). It makes easy to cover everything at one place and upload one file. @@canadatriedandtestedoriginal yes they do have passport showing that
@navjotgrewal6412 sure then show spouse relationship as in passport, notarized affidavit and if any other document where they have their names mentioned as spouse(if they have). All will be good

Hi getting it done from Europe(if they do it should be fine) authorities generally accept notarized affidavits from notaries outside India, as long as the document is properly notarized and includes all necessary details.
Can you please share some more info
This is so much helpful sir.
One question if parents doesn’t have the birth certificates But they have 10th certificate of qualification (in which date of birth is written) will that be okay to upload instead of birth certificates ?
In absence of birth certificate, please use letter of explanation and mention the reason why birth certificate is not available(for example birth in village where no official record maintained earlier or was not mandatory) and instead 10th certificate has date of birth mentioned and so is passport(their date of birth will be mentioned) and that should suffice. Upload 10th certificate in this section.

Don’t worry as long as you are stating facts all is good. 👍

Hello Sirji, I am filling up forms for pgp 2024, just wanted to check 2 things please:
1) my mother(principal applicant, no dependant) has been living with me on supervisa here in Canada since last year (Oct 2023) and will continue living until end of 2026.
The India notarization is good. No need to get anything else done.
