Oh, great! Hope it helps. I experimented with a bunch of different types of joints and have always returned to some iteration of the coiled wire joint.
I'm following your video as far as possible. I must appreciate your techniques of leverage, jointing, story-making etc. I prefer to use scrap ball-pen refils melted on both the sides to form a revet. Paper-washers leave enough gap to rotate. I'm Subhasis Sen, director- Tal-Betal Puppet Theatre from Kolkata, a metro city in the state of West-Bengal ; India. It's a delightful experience to see you and your wife(may be) sharing your experiences together. You may have some glimpses of our puppets in UA-cam under Tal-Betal Puppet Theatre if you so wish and comment if you so wish. Thank you.
Thanks so much for you message! I'll have to try out the ballpoint pen refill rivet method sometime! I used to do a similar method using plastic weed eater cord. One of my favorite things about making puppets is the great variety of methods to accomplish the same thing. Great to hear you're putting puppetry videos up on your channel! We'll check it out, for sure. Thanks!
Cool! I am not making shadow puppet themselves though I am essentially making that just not using them that way ^^ although I am not able to do this now maybe I will be able to do it in the future ^^
That's great! I love watching tutorial videos and picking up related techniques. Model train terrain builders and clockmakers have been a big source of inspiration and information for us!
Thanks...heading to the Dollar Tree ASAP! : ) Also think the paper washer is a great idea. BTW what kind of glue do you use so the paper won't conk or buckle? You know, get wavy.
@@romeoangom9159 sounds fun! We have a couple other videos in the pipeline that were working on, but we should be able to do that in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!
I've made shadow puppets for years, and used all kinds of joints. I've seen coiled wire once some time ago. Now I will try it, thank you!

Very cool! I never thought about making paper puppets before. But this video makes me want to try it.
Thanks! They've quickly become our favorite Quarantine-era puppet since they're so cheap to make and don't take up much space in the house!
Absolutely true Alex and Olmstad.
Sorry! Olmsted and not Olmstad.
New subscriber! I love this!
Thanks, Faith! Happy to have you here.

Thanks for your reply. It's always a fun to learn and expand our horizon. Trying out something new keeps us evergreen, even if we fail.
