Nice video! I switched to Linux a few months ago, went with Mint 1st but after a week or 2 I wanted to try Arch or a Arch based distro so I would be more up to date. Tried Arch 1st but it was too much work to get anywhere with my nvidia gpu, so I tried EndeavourOS and although it was good, I ended up giving CachyOS a try and it was so good I stopped looking and been on it since. To try and explain how good CachyOS is, the new 555 beta drivers dropped and within an hour they were on the CachyOS repo and all I needed to do was sudo pacman -Syu and a reboot and I was using them! Love this distro :)
In the last two years we see a trend in which the linux community has doubled and the users' desktop and gaming experience has improved dramatically... I can say with certainty that windows no longer has the ability to keep you in their environment by the simple fact that you are a gamer . Another important reason are UA-cam channels like this one that highlight these changes. Great video!

Great video! Cachy is so different from countless other Arch based distros. It has real changes and optimizations under the hood that make it unique. Their v3 and v4 architecture compiled repos are brilliant.
If you go to their website , open the About page , there they listed all the developers and bigger contributors. For a distro like this the team is not small I might say ;)
I'm blown away man! With other Linux distros I have to use ProtonDB and select a certain one. With Cachy I just check the Steam Compatibility (proton-cachyos native package) and the game plays out of the box. Amazing!
@@kolefell really? I was trying to remember the ones that came with my cachyOs installation a few weeks ago before switching to fedora to install them, maybe I was wrong then
is there a 32-bit version available? what makes me decide to use a particular linux distro is whether there's a 32-bit version available for my older machines. i know 64-bit is standard now, but some of us have older computers that we want to keep up to date.
no i wouldnt say its hard , they have some many tools , for example many patched kernels for different use (and some of them are really secure oriented) , even the Cachy Brower have some tweaks and give you the option to be really aggressive against ads and fingerprinting and so on .
pff another useless distro, use opensuse or fedora, at least they are backed up with big companies.. these small indie group made distros will fade away in a few years or less, and you'll find yourself distrohopping again... and again...

The BEST thing about CachyOS is its ZFS install option. Love it!

1 month ago I did the switch on CachyOS and I never looked back.
The speed of it in daily operation and gameing is literary pissing on Windows 11.
I'm thinking of installing CachyOS over Manjaro on my desktop PC.

preinstalled , no emulators , you can install it later though
