Same with me... That comment make me smile n nod my head... Yes our king is not ordinary kpop idol... They are genius musicians... Greatest performer... N they are being themselves
Honestly BTS has ascended passed the title of "idol". They are true artists that have honed their craft throughout the years. They deserve all the success.
Stop saying younger generations... BTS 's ARMY is so diverse ... I'm ARMY since mid 2018 and I'm 40yo asian Canadian lol Edit: thanks for all the likes ARMY 💜 you!
So true i even saw a 50 plus old grown man in the fancam :,) ARMYs are diverse in everything i hope they will mention this right after this , but overall their conversation are good and they deliver the most important achievements that have been done bu BTS .
@@rockandspace I think he meant that I-Armys doesn´t fully get the lyrics which i think he´s right, because even with translations i have to watch some dkdktv explanation videos, with dkdktv i understood how important messages and details can be lost in translation.
@@rockandspace I was cheering him on my TV last night. I just feel like he isn't comfortable at speaking english primarily that he had hard time expressing himself.
To be honest, personally, I really think what sets them apart is not just their performance and their music but also them as seven individuals. I personally believe that's also a big factor.
Exactly, it's another factor that most people miss, so many group with great performances and music but they don't have RM, SUGA, JIN, JIMIN, V, JHOPE AND JUNGKOOK. their great teamwork make everything possible.
I agree with you. The 7 members are charismatic, hard workers, humble, kind and have great personalities which people see and love. They didn't let fame and popularity changed who they are since pre-debut. They value n appreciate what they have achieved with Army by paying back with best performances, music and are philanthropists.
Emily Lim Exactly! In spite of all of the fame that they have accumulated, they are still kind, sweet, humble and down to earth. That is truly what sets them apart from many other artists. They truly care about their fans too and that is very important.
Gabby Yes I’m so thrilled about that! Namjoon said previously he’d been really interested in Astronomy 🔭 when younger. So I’m ‘over the moon’ 🌒 for BTS & ARMY! x 💜
She mentioned them among icons like MJ and The Beatles! If people still think BTS is overrated or they're not THE BIGGEST name to come from Korea then they're straight up in denial. I'm not belittling anyone, but BTS is just on another level whether people like it or not.
@@catch_me_if_you_can6596 oh yes yes I agree. But if i can say BTS widens the path for other groups and give attention to the international music industry more than before.
I’m 50 years old and their are So Many Older Fans (Army) Out there who Love BTS & we can relate to BTS’s Lyrics. They have helped so many different People in the World. They have brought us together & we All feel like a Huge Family. 💜
I’m 52 and love them to bits... my 13 yr old dragged me to the 02 in London last year.... well- that was it. Completely smitten 🥰. Their personalities, their love for each other, their fans- the help they gave my daughter- and for the fact they make me laugh and sing - bless their existence. May they live long and happy lives 💜
Hearing her say “KPOP legends BTS” is so fulfilling and heartwarming to think that they started from literal nothing, debuting in a company which was near bankruptcy and now six years later getting called legends, selling out stadiums, breaking world records, being a world phenomenon, getting awards, and more, to see how big they are now is overwhelming yet it makes me prideful because with all the hardship and success they have had they have stayed humble and grateful to those who have helped them walk through the path of hardships and success. I am and will always be an an ARMY, I am proud to be a part of a fandom which supports these seven wonderful men. #6yearswithBTS
I'm 47. I feel included in this fandom. I understand the lyrics and can sing along because of our wonderful ARMY (fandom) translators. I owe a lot to those translators. I also appreciate youtube channels like DKDKTV that explain BTS songs from a Korean perspective so that I can get a full understanding of the lyrics.
Great interview with thoughtful questions. Just a couple of points. 1. BTS is not exclusively for the younger generation, their music speaks to all generations and has fans of all ages. I am 64yo and l grew up with some of the legends of music including Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Rolling Stones , ACDC etc... so it is not a surprise that older people like Pop / Rock / Rap music. 2. We understand what BTS sing about because Bighit and ARMY translate for us. We learn the Korean words in the songs and understand what they are saying along with the Korean references .The meaning of their songs are left open to interpretation by the listener so the meaning can touch us all in different ways at different times in our lives. 3. You don’t have to be young to feel lonely, sad, depressed or abused, you don’t have to be young to feel happy , excited or part of this family we call ARMY. 4. Age is a number, it tells you how long you have lived. Young is a state of mind, it tells you how much you enjoy your life.
Sometimes i forget how much impact they have in the world because they are, since debut, very down to earth and incredibly humble people (a bunch of crackheads too). The positivity Bts has on Army's lives is immeasurable, and something we lack these days due to different pressures in a fast developing world. The boys, through lyrics and their videos, unintentionally teaches us things you cant learn within a classroom: the art and importance being yourself, growing confidence, having a dream and believing in it. They stay true to themselves and do what they love doing: music. When people say they are overrated and i see it so often, they just think they are another artist who are breaking charts. BTS, these three letters, are so much more than that. They are the voices we needed for this generation, and a comfort to so many of us. Their sincerity is real and i saw it the moment i watched and listened to spring day. Their passion is so inspiring. Not to mention they stay connected to their fans despite the ever growing fanbase that would suggest losing touch, but they make every effort and you cant not see that. Needless to say, I value Bts for an infinite number of reasons, and its hard to put into words how much they mean to Army. Its something you have to feel to realise that.
You know what makes bts so different? Because there are: Kim Namjoon Kim seokjin Min yoongi Jung hoseok Park jimin Kim taehyung Jeon jungkook And ARMY united together to be where they're now! 😍😍💜
As much as I appreciate this Professor's effort and enthusiasm in answering all the questions to best of his abilities, I think he missed out on quite important key points as to why BTS stands out from the rest of the K-pop. 1) They have been given creative freedom over their music which allows them more control over their musical aspects with members actively participating in the writing process, producing, arranging and even choreo and stage management. 2) They talk about their own personal experiences in their lyrics and release music relevent to people across all ages 3) Their team dynamic is very strong and beautiful to watch with members sharing amazing bond. 4) They communicate with their fans on a regular basis through various social media platforms and have been known to do a lot of things for their fans. 5) And I saw that this came up in the video quite frequently, about how the fans were able to relate their lyrics. We have a very active fandom (ARMY). There are translators who work very hard to bridge the language gap. Almost of all their contents including lyrics, news articles, interviews, variety shows are almost immediately translated into various languages making it accessible for international fans to understand them better. I might've missed out on a lot of things but I must say that just like the rare Earth phenomena, BTS is the result of right timing, right factors blending together to create a perfect mix. They truly are a once in a lifetime thing. There never was, never is and never will be another BTS. 💜
i have a strong feeling that this professor is an ARMY 😊 he has an average knowledge about BTS.....finally ARMY's are reaping the fruits of their efforts, supports and love to BTS! what we heard about BTS now is mostly positive and no more hate, which is music to our ears and disneyland to our eyes! We ARMY's are now in our fruitfull era....lets keep supporting and loving this 7 lovable crackheads! army fighting 💪👊 Borahae 💜💜💜
BTS is our inspirations, happiness,, vitamins in life. BTS only legend of k.pop. and fact after BTS I don't think there is k.pop group same as BTS.....
Kpop may continue to witness success in the international scene but there will be no other group as in NO ONE will be able to touch what BTS has achieved.
Mac Miranda sure university professor is fluent English.. even RM’s mom knew the importance of him learning English n so essential for his education going forward..she was right..💯🥰
Exactly, I won't deny other group presence and I won't doubt that probably there is another korean group that may get 1st on billboard 200 like BTS but with BTS long list of achievement and record and with 3 no 1 album on billboard 200 can they match BTS achievement? After all right now they never stop making and creating new record. So yeh, other group may get popular too but I doubt it gonna be successful as BTS.
it will be hard for another Kpop to have this kind of achievement again its bcos of BTS the expectations about Kpop has now raised....and they must have their own unique music or stronger performance and many more to achieve this kind of recognition internationally
It’s crazy that BTS became SO SO FAMOUS!! Like wtf no Korean idols became this famous like them LIKE WOW!! I am proud of our boys and will always be💜 You can’t spell legends without BTS 🤷🏽♀️💜💜
Since discover BTS I thought hey kpop is interest and entertaining so start looking into it, but sorry by taste is meant to be for BTS only. Now that I learn more about them the more I live them. There message, personality and performance I love so much!
I agree. I listen to some other kpop songs here and there but only stan BTS. I've tried to get into other groups especially the ones that people claim to be bigger and better than BTS but BTS is just another level, no one's intrigued me as much as these boys and their music.
I've been kpopers for almost 15 years n I only Stan 3 group : tvxq5, jyj, n now bts, I listen to many K-pop song but only bts make me listen to all of their song from the first album to the latest, even tvxq5 can't make me do that
Listen people, BTS not just a kpop group but more than that.. They made their own musics and what made them special are their messages and genuine love also good communication with fans around the world. Btw Busan Princes... Jimin and Jungkook.. The aura.. Uwuuu
@@ashestudillo I agree , either the not so perfect english or biased opinion, his answers were really generic and not so well thought out. I found it a bit frustrating at some moments cause I was expecting things to be said and did not so I was like "why doesn't he say about this or that" etc.
You asking why bts is difference to other artist? Answer: because bts teach us how to love our self, they thought us how special we are💜💜💜 and teach us to love and trust each other(army) bts is my happy pill for my daily life, they are my love of my life, back 2017 i have a hardtime because my past relationship did not work as i want but when i discover bts through youtube and ama 2017 its help me a lot through there video and mv my day is always happy,, im very thankfull for bts because they help me a lot 💜💜💜💜💜 even if im not with them for the very beginning (bts debut2013) i promise i will be with them for the last of there journey💜💜💜 bts×army young forever Army since2017 happy birthday bts " i will always purple you"
It's okay if you're not with them from the beginnings as long as you will stay with them until the end. I was with them since 2015 and i will be with them until the end.borahae💜💜💜
There is a simple answer to “why BTS?” and that is that they are GENUINE. A hundred percent genuine. They are not as manufactured as other groups and that’s what draws people in. People want to be able to relate to the musicians
I enjoyed watching this, just one thing, many international fan might not know Korean but we have volunteers translators that share everything with all of us so we can understand the BTS content (lyrics, interviews, videos, etc) ^.^ Thank you!
i think BTS have raised the standard of kpop to another level...they're not just ordinary kpop group and their connection to ARMYs is also a factor of their success...their uniqueness, creativity, humility and sincerity adds to why so many fans are loving them...
What makes BTS different than other KPop groups? Their music & lyrics are related for global audience. Easy listening. And also they always had energic perfomance and delivery their song so well. And that was awesome. They are always INTENS and FOCUS with their music and performance. Which is make Armys so proud with their hard work. They re not only Idol but REAL mucisians. And the last but not least THEY RE ALL HAVE GOOD PERSONALITY and have SENSE OF HUMOR too. They re totally POSITIVE FIGURE , which is world need to have. They are honest and sincere musicians. That's the reason why their songs are always liked even their listeners aren't kpopers. Their song comes from the heart and reaches the heart in the end.
I think the majority of global hype surrounding k-pop will rise and fall with BTS' own rises and falls. Media will still report on other groups for a while when BTS arent around, but i dont think that it will last very long and definitely not be as successful. Media will definitely miss content to write about provided by BTS since it's what gives them the most clicks on social media
i think internationally the expectations for Kpop has raised bcos of BTS...i hate to say this but after BTS era it will be hard for another Kpop group to just enter international market bcos of expectations
Keeps saying "They don't understand the language. They can't understand what they're (BTS songs) saying." Dude!! There's this new thing called SUBTITLES!! WE KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SINGING! WE KNOW WHAT THE SONGS ARE ABOUT! BTS DOESN'T ONLY APPEAL TO THEIR GENERATION! THEY ARE INTERGENERATIONAL so your assessment that teens flock to them because it's(ARMY) a community that won't be infiltrated by the older generation is BS. I'm 48 & found them myself. I'm teaching my kids about them, not the other way around. BTS has a universal appeal. Their songs address fears, self-doubts, and losses we ALL face, with music that expresses emotion regardless of language. You're looking for the "secret formula" to their success so you can replicate it, but you're missing the point that they ARE different & THAT is part of the "formula". First start with special people.
The professor is very knowledgeable, but when the question about why BTS is more special than all the other Kpop groups was asked he completely missed the two major components that has elevated BTS to this level of success. 1. Personal relationship with fans via social media, which builds fan loyalty 2. Lyrical content, because the BTS members are actual music creators, not just performers.
The unique thing is not only did BTS made a name for theirselves but also for their company. Everyone loves a Cinderella story and would root for someone with such great personalities. Their is no other group like BTS because now the bar has been raised. Its originality, genuineness, and hard work. And to have their stages in life in music that people relates to and follow is what makes them loved by many. It’s BTS phenomenon, not kpop phenomenon. He had a lot of answer where he wanted to dodge BTS fame saying “actually kpop”. I felt the last 2 Questions weren’t answered correctly. I also wanted to add, read the comments, all the longest answers are the reason. There are so many reasons, we can’t write them all. It’s not just because of music. No artists makes people feel like they are a family and cared for like BTS. BTS can really make a place into your heart.
Just one thing you have missed is that after BTS there won't be this much attention on kpop itself! Just saying it here!!! Y'all you'll feel it one day so yeah just giving some tips for the future!
I believe that as well, even now its hard for other kpop groups to debut in the U.S. or other countries without comparisons to Bts or being asked qiestions about Bts, which is also sad. Bts has set the standard. I'm so proud of them.
True. BTS paved the way and made it mainstream in US and many parts of the world but after BTS, it will go back to the way it was before... that is steadily rising but still niche market.
Yes he is right! BTS works so hard to be known especially on the western side and it take them what we called blood sweat and tears! What makes them unique not only thru the music but they showed to the whole world the Asian culture that it’s not only a kpop boyband but being a family. The respect they’ve showed to their fans they are simple and very humble. Aside they are very talented and good looking guys they communicate well and all the time they thank their fans so much ! They are real unique and funny guys too. Steps by steps the whole world noticed the uniqueness of these brotherly boy band group. They send a good message to their songs and these boys spread the importance of loving yourself and treat each other as a family no matter where you came from. Even they sings in Korean it doesn’t matter! For me they are the greatest role model for all.
For me not only their performance but the characters brought by their songs and the love of what they doing and RM such a good leader which deliver such love to his member. The thing Love your self is got an impact in my life. I love BTS so much they are truly LEGEND I will remember them forever. BTS is forever...
I want to thank the professor for literally mentioning that we dont want an english album. He has definitely done his research. I hope american interviewers can stop asking about it because the closest they will ever get to that is Mic Drop. To hell with that english album!!
I think it is because of their thoughtfull deep lyric concept/theme relevant to daily life worldwide which is brought with pleasant to hear music. And they are not delivered randomly but in very good structure.
One of their strength is the communication they build with (Us )their fan how the Fans react and help others, we are International fan (I-ARMY) but many K-ARMY who understand well the music and lyrics help us to understand the message of their song, we love them as they love Us: Real ARMY love each others and OPEN to embrace each other and comfort each other what ever civil and financial status, race, ethnicity, gender identity, generation or age group BTS-ARMIES always unite, support and love each others.. because BTS is change many hearts to open others heart to become more HUMANE
My sister and I have been BTS fans for 3 years and we still can't totally sum up why BTS is so famous. But its definitely a package. One thing I know, the love they get is due to who the members are and how they inject their personalities into their music. That's missing in a lot of the other groups. You can't manufacture relatability.
I love how she describe the boys: KPOP LEGENDS BTS.... hope BTS antis would watch this 👀 and how amazing that BTS keeps breaking records left and right! Their achievements are very very hard to beat! And all other groups can be as famous like them, but they can’t replicate those “FIRST” achievements that BTS have conquered. Again, anyone can do their thing, anyone can succeed and reach the top, but as the saying goes, NO ONE can beat the ORIGINAL. And The ORIGINAL AND FIRST TO SLAYED AWARDS, STADIUMS, MAINSTREAM SHOWS, and many more achievements WORLDWIDE is none other than BTS! 💜💜💜
If I can highlight one aspect to extend upon is that I, an international listener, do in fact understand the lyrics. When I struggle and listen to BTS' music, I am not comforted by the chords and their incredible stage presence, but by the directly translated lyrics that hold a mirror to my struggles and put my strong emotions into words.
*MAJORITY OF ARMYs DO UNDERSTAND THEIR MUSIC, THE MESSAGE BEHIND IT* We are so diverse and came from different walks of life. We dont just listen to their music, we dive & dig into their music. Reasons why we have that meaningful connection with Bangtan thru their music. Translations are everywhere, thanks to ARMYs who put so much love in translating not only their songs but other videos as well, esp the ones from BangtanTV. Bangtan has been consistent in conveying their message, it's all reflected thru their songs, MVs, choreography, notes, albums, photos, webtoon, interviews, concerts, etc.. The most special among these >> THE LOVE, it's not one-way. It's reciprocated. From Day1, they believing that this is our journey together, BTSxARMY... ... thru good & bad times we are here for each other. I guess you will only get this deep when you're an ARMY yourself, coz your experience will tell you.
I was just watching BTS attic for their Festa 2019 and this one thought was so prominent in my head; "If I ever have kids I would be so happy for them to have artists like BTS to look up to and follow." And I think that's one thing that makes BTS so great and so amazing. I love art and music so I follow many artists without limiting myself with genre, I have also so many artists that have inspired me while growing up, artists whose works have left an imprint on me but its only BTS that I have connected with on a human level. They are so raw and so honest that it's easy to forget how big they are. They are so down to earth and they all have their own unique personae and defining traits with their own intricacies and that makes it easier to find a common ground with them. Art is all about that connection and the minute you start relating to not only the art but the artist themselves and this connection evolves into this big network with people from all around the world, then you end up with something truly beautiful and that's what BTS and Army is all about for me. Watching them reminiscence about their childhood, talk fondly about their memories of their parents (I mean if this doesn't say great role models then what does?) , question their identities and the dilemma that comes with self-discovery, how they deal with their emotions and how they view self-development in just a 50 mins video was in a way so wonderful and it makes people think along with them and that for me is what BTS provides, they connect with us not just through their work but through their mere existence.
I think the international fans played a big part on their popularity.....korean peeps weren't that enthusiastic with the band since they are not visual idols but global fandom appreciate their music and felt BTS sincerity...this is one reason why they are receiving so much love from the armys😊
I think the trend of Kpop will stay as long as BTS stay in the Kpop industry we watch Kpop music only for our boys BTS for their music and other Kpop group are not as interesting as BTS their music are uniquely different from other their connection with us Army way different other Kpop boys or girls groups no one can't take their place even they born 100 times BTS comes once in life as long as their in the Kpop industry we all intonational fans will be watching Kpop music I don't think anyone else can make these kinds of songs other than BTS 💜 💜💜 💜
my friend and I went to bts' Wembley Stadium concert day 2, we traveled down to London from North West of England on the Saturday and on the train, we met a lady from South Korea who interviewed us about why we like bts and the same thing happened later that day when we were at London Bridge with some other friends. One of the questions was about if we could speak Korean or not and when all of us said no, we were asked as to why we like bts if we can't understand the language. My response was you don't need to understand a language to feel the emotion behind a song and that it was easy enough for us to look up translations of the songs online.' When I found out the translations of their songs, the messages that they had put within those songs helped me to deal with anxiety and depression, prior to finding bts, I was harming myself in multiple different ways because I was hurting because I was hurting so badly and it was bts who stopped me from doing that. I will forever be grateful to bts for that, I found the 28th June 2018 (two weeks will be a year) and I stopped hurting myself by late August/early September. I am now 26 years old (25 at the time) and I had been self harming since I was 13 (so about 12 years) and I have not self harmed since then.
Brought a tear to my eye when Jimin's face was shown everywhere in Busan. I'm so proud of all 7 of them and ARMYs all around the world. We've done it guys! But our journey doesn't stop here. It's a long, beautiful way to go 💜💜
MOST Army probably have learned their lyrics in Korean and what they mean I am assuming like how I learned what their song's meant via subtitles and then being able to sing along in Korean. BTS is different than any other artist I have ever known because they love their fan's so much and they are always so appreciative of their fan's. BTS is also different because they have managed to have millions of fans all over the world and these fans who once were probably divided are able to come together because of their love for BTS. BTS also teaches everyone to love themselves, to speak who they are and to accept who they are. LOVE yourself, speak yourself , accept yourself and the difference in others. KIM NAMJOONs speech at the United nations touches my heart every time I watch it .
BTS paved the way 💜💜💜💜 I don't think so kpop will be trending after BTS because no one can match them they are legends and I don't think so any other group can achieve what they did and all records set by them 💜💜They are my Kings and legends armyxbts forever
I certainly agree with all what he had said. In addition to that BTS is one of the kpop artist that stand out and loved by their fans and people who would know them because they are so humble and sincere with their craft. Thats the reason why they stand out and shine. Great musicians.
Yes, they are artists, they are legends. I actually loved them from the beginning (discovered them Feb 2014), I love their Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop, I love them & their music, majority of the time (they do colab & buy songs to tweak & make them fit their art), it comes from them.
I've said it over and over again that Bangtan has rewritten what we've understood to be culture. They've transcended not only language barriers, but also age, nationality, racial, social strata, music genre, etc. Their long-term project has redefined the aforementioned barriers. To me, like the prof said, hip hop had been more about materialism. Look at the work of so-called rappers criticizing BTS at the beginning of their career. But, Bangtan redefined what hip hop songs could talk about.
The difference is ... their music and lyrics have issues related to the global audience And not cliche. They are musicians who are serious about making songs that not only can be entertaining but can also be motivational. Which makes a lot of hearts touched. KPop is known as a music maker that only makes music as one thing that is only entertaining and honestly sometimes it sounds like jokes. But BTS comes with different things, their music and lyrics can change the minds of many people. And the last but not least they have a good personality, they are polite, honest, and funny too. They re so kind and care with Fans (Armys) And it was awesome. Their good persona makes many people admire and love them. Actually the World needs public figures like them.
If you are ARMY, it doesn't matter what age you are, you connect with them and their message. People keep forgetting that there are thousands of ARMY that are older then 12-20 years of age. Also it's not that we don't want BTS to produce an English because that will make them the same as other artists. It's because the Boy's themselves have said that they are Korean and they don't want to portay themselves as people that they are not. Additionally BTS themselves have been invited to be part of the Recording Academy so it's not only Bang PD.
So I bought a new bts magazine and in it, it says "BTS PAVED THE WAY" and it was even underlined and I never felt prouder because it's actually printed on paper and is now all over the world !
BTS...out heros...our 7 handosme men, they are so handsome..they are our men that helped us through depression, and anxiety,we thank our boys so much for helping us and helping us make ourselves love ourselves very very much,we love them.💜who hasn't meet them like me we will meet them soon don't worry FIGHTING.!💜🥰
what the professor forgot in his answer on the reason of the success of BTS is the members themselves. a lot of kpop group has good songs, great choreography, postive messages but not all of them has the character of BTS members, tell me which kpop group has an angel & a rabbit in their members? it's like all the stars aligned when Bang Si-hyuk is choosing the members of BTS and he was able to establish a perfect group. Lastly BTS members are genuine as anyone can be.
How can Bts be the representative of Generation Z with only Jungkook being from this generation and the rest of the boys being Millennials? Why do people keep forgetting Bts ages? It's not a generation representation thing. The group started out trying to speak out for young people like themselves but ended up speaking for people across generations. People no matter the age can identify with the messages in their music. Child or adult the messages still register with them. Whether the topic is love or struggles with self identification, struggles with society, struggles with depression, struggles with self love, even those basic 'let's party cause we can' stuff then Bts covers it. Heck Jin wrote a song for his pets who had passed on. Bangtan wrote a song for their old one bedroom apartment. An apartment people. Imma hold the phone whilst you dig up all the artists who do that. They are not the only group whose lyrics show self consciousness but they are one of the most consistent. They changed their sound, they changed their looks, they changed their dances, they even changed the manner they interact with the world but they never changed their message. That is important to note. You know the nicest part of the whole thing though? Watching Bts slowly relax as time passed. Watching them grow from hopeful insecure boys to confident men. Watching their persona masks slip off more & more often, watching the growing closeness with fans, watching them actually reaching out to fans without thinking on the negative consequences of showing so much of themselves. Maybe realising those consequences a little too late but not wanting to pull back cause fuck it man it's Army. And the best part: watching them become more comfortable in their own skin. That one is priceless.
THESE ARE SEVEN CLOSE BROTHERS WHO ARE LEAVIN THEIR MARK AROUND THE WORLD. THEY WILL BE IN THE BOOK OF HISTORY AS ONE OF THE MOST PHENOMENAL GROUP OF ALL TIME, BTS.
I'm thinking the same thing. Why is BTS so different from other KPOP..? They all sing and dance.. But BTS is so much different. They're so unforgettable, it's not exaggeration 😅.. Their performances, their choreography, songs are so much mind-blowing. And on top of that, their attitudes are amazing as well. All about BTS is so damn perfect, to the point I can't believe it could really exist 😅
jeba blessy salomi Of course! No one said that BTS were the only Kings 👑 I am a fan of EXO’s music as well and they are dominating the entertainment industry. I mean not dominating but rather they’ve already DOMINATED the KPOP industry. But in this context we are celebrating BTS’ achievement :))
I love them because they’re genuine about their passion. You can tell how much they pour of themselves into their craft. I love that they’re humble and relatable. Their bank accounts are doing so well yet they still value those Panda Express coupons. 💜
I don't think there is another K-pop group as huge as BTS later. They are first and writing history for K-pop. If BTS decide pension from music industry, well the dominant music will just go back to mainstream Western musicians which is they are great (my opinion). Congratulations for BTS who really break the walls and Paved the way. I hope as young generation we'll listen more positive vibes music about fight your dream and love yourself messages instead of typical love, broken heart or having s*x
For me sincerity is the difference not just towards fans but music. They genuinely love music and performance.
😊

you are absolutely right. been questioning myself what makes them different with other idols, it's sincerity and authenticity.
Preach fellow army preach 😊😊😊💜💜💜
And also that they're delivering their own message by being involved in the song writing and various projects!
"...what theyre being criticised before has become their strenght now.."
"...theyre not idols but musicians.."
i 💜 u!

It's been 11 yrs anniversary of BTS no question they are the best kpop group South Korea ever had.

I agree.. fans all over the world are from different age groups 😊
Bts' Army is so diverse.. I'm Army since 2016 and I'm 40yo Indonesian women..
agree! i am army since 2017 and i am 30 yo

But he didn't really answer them well enough. He still think I-Armys don't understand Korean even though we have subtitles

That's the truth, their sincerity is easily seen in whatever they do.
Emily Lim Exactly! In spite of all of the fame that they have accumulated, they are still kind, sweet, humble and down to earth. That is truly what sets them apart from many other artists. They truly care about their fans too and that is very important.
I. STRONGLY.AGREE.
Plus 3 of their songs are going to space

Gabby Yes I’m so thrilled about that! Namjoon said previously he’d been really interested in Astronomy 🔭 when younger. So I’m ‘over the moon’ 🌒 for BTS & ARMY! x 💜
Really?🤗🤗
I am excited for that😃😍😊
Can't wait for that lol
She mentioned them among icons like MJ and The Beatles! If people still think BTS is overrated or they're not THE BIGGEST name to come from Korea then they're straight up in denial. I'm not belittling anyone, but BTS is just on another level whether people like it or not.
I agree. No one can do it like BTS.
In conclusion it scream "bts paved the way"
Indeed
no it was paved by the first wave in 2009,without them to 'create' kpop, bts would not prospere
Yass. 😍
And I also think that the ARMY PAVED THE WAY FOR BTS. 💜

@@catch_me_if_you_can6596 oh yes yes I agree. But if i can say BTS widens the path for other groups and give attention to the international music industry more than before.
BTS is a worldwide cultural phenomenom. I don't even know kpop but I know them, their music is great.

Ok, here we are! I’m 49. Hello friends.
Talents, Charisma, originality, sincerity, humility, etcetc i could go on and on...that set BTS from the others
Because there are:
Kim Namjoon
Kim seokjin
Min yoongi
Jung hoseok
Park jimin
Kim taehyung
Jeon jungkook
And ARMY united together to be where they're now!
2) They talk about their own personal experiences in their lyrics and release music relevent to people across all ages
3) Their team dynamic is very strong and beautiful to watch with members sharing amazing bond.
Samiksha Sen well said 👏

"KPOP LEGEND BTS"
facts only tho
BTS may we call it once a life time experience as global phenomenal. We never know if another K-pop to have this kind of achievement.

The biggest difference between BTS and other groups is they actually love their fans, and give back to them in a way never seen before.
Since discover BTS I thought hey kpop is interest and entertaining so start looking into it, but sorry by taste is meant to be for BTS only. Now that I learn more about them the more I live them. There message, personality and performance I love so much!

You asking why bts is difference to other artist?
Answer: because bts teach us how to love our self, they thought us how special we are💜💜💜 and teach us to love and trust each other(army) bts is my happy pill for my daily life, they are my love of my life, back 2017 i have a hardtime because my past relationship did not work as i want but when i discover bts through youtube and ama 2017 its help me a lot through there video and mv my day is always happy,, im very thankfull for bts because they help me a lot 💜💜💜💜💜 even if im not with them for the very beginning (bts debut2013) i promise i will be with them for the last of there journey💜💜💜 bts×army young forever

Me too since 2017!
Yes because of these kind translators, fans like me enjoy and appreciate BTS even more..
Thank you BTS and Army 💜
i think BTS have raised the standard of kpop to another level...they're not just ordinary kpop group and their connection to ARMYs is also a factor of their success...their uniqueness, creativity, humility and sincerity adds to why so many fans are loving them...
Larsis exactly my point
i think internationally the expectations for Kpop has raised bcos of BTS...i hate to say this but after BTS era it will be hard for another Kpop group to just enter international market bcos of expectations

This exactly is how you do an in-depth coverage! Thanks to the reporter, anchor, professor, and all crew for the great coverage!
Kpop Legend.... Mom.. You hear that mom? My boys are legends now... 😭💜💜💜💜💜

😭😭😭😭
The day I started stanning them I didn't even imagine to be honest they would achieve so much💜💜💜
The professor is very knowledgeable, but when the question about why BTS is more special than all the other Kpop groups was asked he completely missed the two major components that has elevated BTS to this level of success.
1. Personal relationship with fans via social media, which builds fan loyalty
2. Lyrical content, because the BTS members are actual music creators, not just performers.
Globally, who follows BTS they fully understand that the each song lyrics. Enough ARMYs upload their translated version of each song.
And explanation videos
The unique thing is not only did BTS made a name for theirselves but also for their company. Everyone loves a Cinderella story and would root for someone with such great personalities. Their is no other group like BTS because now the bar has been raised. Its originality, genuineness, and hard work. And to have their stages in life in music that people relates to and follow is what makes them loved by many. It’s BTS phenomenon, not kpop phenomenon. He had a lot of answer where he wanted to dodge BTS fame saying “actually kpop”. I felt the last 2
Questions weren’t answered correctly.
Yah that is fact..
True
That’s kinda sad to realize.
It is their music that got me hook on them plus their personalities they are more relatable than the other groups
I want to thank the professor for literally mentioning that we dont want an english album. He has definitely done his research. I hope american interviewers can stop asking about it because the closest they will ever get to that is Mic Drop. To hell with that english album!!
it is amazing millions world wide now either speak or are learning to speak Korean. All due to BTS.
"K-POP LEGEND BTS" sounds really good to me
I think it is because of their thoughtfull deep lyric concept/theme relevant to daily life worldwide which is brought with pleasant
to hear music.
*MAJORITY OF ARMYs DO UNDERSTAND THEIR MUSIC, THE MESSAGE BEHIND IT*
We are so diverse and came from different walks of life.
*IM so so proud of BTS*
BTS came in my life when I needed the most help- thanks
I think the trend of Kpop will stay as long as BTS stay in the Kpop industry we watch Kpop music only for our boys BTS for their music and other Kpop group are not as interesting as BTS their music are uniquely different from other their connection with us Army way different other Kpop boys or girls groups no one can't take their place even they born 100 times BTS comes once in life as long as their in the Kpop industry we all intonational fans will be watching Kpop music I don't think anyone else can make these kinds of songs other than BTS 💜 💜💜 💜
Yes I agree for me kpop starts with BTS and ends with BTS 💜💜💜💜
That man: Armys don't fully understand the lyrics...
Me: Mhhhh...You know , there's a thing called subtitles or lyrics video...
my friend and I went to bts' Wembley Stadium concert day 2, we traveled down to London from North West of England on the Saturday and on the train, we met a lady from South Korea who interviewed us about why we like bts and the same thing happened later that day when we were at London Bridge with some other friends.
SINCERITY CAN'T BE FAKED, and that's what BTS is. 💜

BTS paved the way 💜💜💜💜
I don't think so kpop will be trending after BTS because no one can match them they are legends and I don't think so any other group can achieve what they did and all records set by them
💜💜They are my Kings and legends armyxbts forever
Bts our universe legends........
I certainly agree with all what he had said. In addition to that BTS is one of the kpop artist that stand out and loved by their fans and people who would know them because they are so humble and sincere with their craft. Thats the reason why they stand out and shine. Great musicians.
Kpop Legend BTS 😎
Yes, they are artists, they are legends. I actually loved them from the beginning (discovered them Feb 2014), I love their Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop, I love them & their music, majority of the time (they do colab & buy songs to tweak & make them fit their art), it comes from them.
“KPOP LEGEND BTS” !!!
Yes!! Couldn't have said it better!!

*”K-POP LEGEND, BTS”*
Oh yeah!
BTS are incredible!! They are very good looking, kind, talented, inspiring, loving and more.
I always cried whenever I heard about BTS and their success and how famous they are!!! SUPER PROUD!!! 😊👏👏👏👏
THESE ARE SEVEN CLOSE BROTHERS WHO ARE LEAVIN THEIR MARK AROUND THE WORLD. THEY WILL BE IN THE BOOK OF HISTORY AS ONE OF THE MOST PHENOMENAL GROUP OF ALL TIME, BTS.
I am older generation and I love BTS.
Love bts and love tae tae V so much they deserve all this love
That's right BTS is different that's why they are attractive and stood out.
When they said on the level of the Beatles and Michael Jackson I was like 😭😭 I feel so happy
Amy Xy shit what about EXO 👑
bcz of EXO 👑, BTS got recognized....
jeba blessy salomi Of course! No one said that BTS were the only Kings 👑 I am a fan of EXO’s music as well and they are dominating the entertainment industry. I mean not dominating but rather they’ve already DOMINATED the KPOP industry. But in this context we are celebrating BTS’ achievement :))
@@jebablessysalomi3451 Thanks to EXO-L for unnecessary false accusation.
@@jebablessysalomi3451 and because of bigbang and yg, exo were anticipated and recognized. Case closed.😪
jeba blessy salomi because of exo bts got recognise? Ive been an army since 2015 and its the first im hearing this so please enlighting me how?
BTS....my world!
I so much love how the prof explained the assessment of BTS.
BTS "kpop legends"
Very well said 😍
