    This has been so great. I have made all types of jam in my life but never the seedless blackberry jam. . I live in western Washington State on Whidbey Island and have an abundance of blackberries but hate the seeds. So happy to learn the best way to get those little buggers out of my jam. Thank you and Cheers!

      Thank you. I love blackberry, too. During growing season it seems I do nothing but can but all the fruits are done for the year. Now the tomatoes are calling my name. After those I get a break. :)

    I have watched several videos on how to can homemade blackberry jam and truly enjoyed yours the best. The recipe is easier than those I have seen on other sites. Thank you for the informative video. I am going to try it, but I am unable to find juice so I will just use my potato masher and mash the berries. Your jam looks great!

      There's another video showing you how to remove the seeds from your blackberries so you're just left with the juice x

    I also have to add vinegar to the water because if not, they come out of the canner with residue on them that won't wash off. Thanks for the information. Have a Blessed Day!

    So this is jelly and not jam, correct? And I'm asking because I understand I'll need pectin in JELLY but that blackberries have enough natural pectin to leave it out when making JAM. I'm split... would like a reduced seed jam.... hmm.... about 1/4 as much seeds as jam I think would be my prefrence. Thinking of mixing a quart of juice with a half pint of cooked whole berries. Thoughts?

    Hi just come across your channel and loving it so far thanks, could I ask how many tablespoons are in the packet of pectin you use as I live in the U.K. And I've only managed to buy a tub not packets. Thanks 😊

    Great video. Just made over 20 jars of jam. Can you tell me where you got that ladle from? It would make canning so much easier!!! Thanks!!!

    • @LisasWorld100
      @LisasWorld100  7 років тому

      Occasionally WalMart will sell them. I ordered mine from Amazon. The ladle holds one pint which makes it easier for scooping and measuring. It also has a hook so you can hang it on the side of your pot while working. It's a lifesaver when canning. Thanks for tuning in Scott. Lisa

    What do you mean when you say "remove the ring 24 hours after it sets" in regard to the part where you were beginning to can the jelly?

    •  4 роки тому

      We've read several times the rings can help hide a bad seal so its really important to remove the rings so if there is a bad seal it will fail sooner so you don't potentially try to eat poison;.

    • @MidwestSkyline
      @MidwestSkyline 4 роки тому

      @ the rings like the part that screws onto the top?

    • @MidwestSkyline
      @MidwestSkyline 4 роки тому

      @ Oh i see now. If its a good can job, the lid should stay put even tho you removed the ring. and then you put the ring back on.
