Do Army prior service have to do BMT if they already did BCT.
Prior Service members do not complete basic training again.

Hey, I missed the Live but I have a few questions I didn't see in the chat.
I was told there are 81 spots open, is this number still accurate?
What are the chances of getting in with just a HS Diploma and basic job exp (i.e. Retail, food, etc)
How long should it take to get a response after sending off your paper work (NR, R, and HR)
Are there any plans for the space force to become a directly leathal branch (What I mean is having combat capabilities either air, space, groung, etc)?
After getting a recommendation or Highly recommended response will you be placed and off to BMT?

Can you choose your first duty station?
Joshua, During Basic Military Training (BMT), you will complete an Assignment Preference Worksheet listing up to eight stateside and/or eight overseas locations for a total of 16 choices. You can list a location by base, state, region, or country. You will be notified of your Base of Assignment around the time of graduation from Technical Training (tech school). Your listed preferences will be taken into consideration during the assignment process.

How competitive is the SF and is it to late to apply? I've been reading a lot about these deadlines and limited applicants and was just wondering what is the average wait time after applying online to get a response. I'm trying to get in touch with my nearest airforce recruiter but I've heard he isn't around much and he wasn't there and I went to visit. I would love to enlist and I really just want more info on the whole process.
