Okay, heres why Sephiroth was so easy here, its because it was meant to be a final SMACKDOWN on him, hence why omnislash was immediatly ready to be used, you are expected to use it to bring a final slashdown to sephiroth to bring him down forever.
You think that's something, deal with a boss battle where the difficultly is challenging and if you lose you are immediately revived by the boss. There is a game like that.
I wasn't going to mention it until I saw you including Flash Man from Megaman 2; but I was thinking that Naval Piranha from Yoshis Island could've made the list. Sure, he's a badass boss with his own piece of music, but if before you get too close, you hit the regular plant with an egg, Kamek will say 'OH MY!' and thats it.
Not much of a Sephiroth fan myself but that 'boss battle' is a glorified cutscene. If you literally CAN NOT lose and the game will win the battle for you if you do nothing IMO it doesn't count as a boss. Other than that good video.
10:SNAAAAAIL! 9:GOD. 8:Ouchy. 7:What was that? 6:I don't know what to say. 5:Is that a boss?It doesn't look like one. 4:SMASH IT WITH A HAMMA 3:WUSS 2:STILL WUSS 1:You can go eat a hamburguer,he will be dead when you come back.
My theory about Sephiroth's weakness is that you just stripped him of all of his power, and you're facing his pure soul. Sephiroth is now mortal, and is as strong as any other human.
Achieving something? What is there to achieve? The PRIMARY GOAL of a video game is to entertain you. There's nothing to achieve. You're not gonna cure cancer by jumping on goombas, or solve world hunger by teabagging your opponents. Some games make you feel, some games make you think, some games make you laugh, but their only goal is to entertain you, and nothing else.
In fact, I think that some of OKC's lines may have BEEN Monty Python references themselves. The whole gag of him disregarding the fact that he's falling apart as you kill him is pretty much the same as the Black Knight to King Arthur.
In Kingdom Hearts 1, you just fight him in the Coliseum in the hardest challenge. In Kingdom Hearts 2, he plays a bigger role but is still an optional character to fight. In both games, he's the hardest boss in the entire game.
Sephiroth is only easy if you either a) Are a "Stop Having Fun Guy" who maxed his party members to level 98 for some strange-ass reason or b) have a ton of Megalixirs and Remedies and use each whenever needed.
Actually I've always thought of it as more of "The REAL final battle" myself. Here Sephiroth is laughing at Cloud because while he may have just lost his own flesh/container, Cloud still has JENOVA's cells throughout his body. (Making Cloud Sephiroth's the best possible host... Made all the better by his week Mind/Will/Soul) So Sephiroth having complete controle over Cloud's body rips out his Soul & the two Wills dual it out in the Lifestream. Seams like Sephy wasn't all that determined. X'D
I have some news. Thanks to Did you know gaming, I found that, when using gameshark codes to show a bosses health, during the sephiroth battle, it shows a halarious box that says only one thing: "Sephiroth HP: 1/1"
Your right, the developers didn't do a good job on Sephiroth. Also, that weakass goldfish in Earthworm Jim loses in in a worse way than being knocked out of his fish bowl. He gets eaten by Earthworm Jim himself. My reaction to that was "_________!!!"(Insert comment of disbelief here)
I definitely agree with you on this list, Autarch. I think that of game's I've played, King's Curse of Dark Cloud would rank as a pathetic boss. He walks slow and the only danger of him hitting you besides a little damage is Curse status (which means you can't switch a weapon).
Yeah, that too. Frankly, even Jeb is thinking he and Notch made it too easy. "If I can kill it it's too easy." That's what Jeb said in a nutshell. And you don't even need diamonds to kill it; I killed it using one bow and one stone sword, neither of which had any enchantments, and no potions or armor. So there you go. It was a cool concept, being a dragon found in a destroyed world of nothingness, no less (and no I'm not talking about Xemnas's machine in KH2), but it was very poorly executed.
In regards to #1, just to point this out there, that version of Sephiroth would actually be considered a "form" of a boss battle. The actual boss battle consists of all 3 forms, especially as there is no break in between them. The game gave you a flashy finisher move sequence with a decent amount of build up to give you some satisfaction, and you go ahead and bash it.
Maleficent's dragon form in Kingdom Hearts 1 was pretty easy. Found a spot where she couldn't touch me and went and ate while my party killed her. Takes forever, though.
Negative Man - Actually attacks. (Only for 1 HP, but still attacks.) Golem Overlord - NEVER attacks, and suicides. Negative man is.. uhh.. harder, I guess.
I also heard a theory that it's not even the real Sephiroth, it's all in Cloud's head and it's just a symbol of he killing out the Jenova cells/Sephiroth contact from himself. Which actually makes sense, since when Tifa reaches for him, it gets revealed that he in fact was standing still all along... Moral of the story: defeating yourself is the easiest battle?
I honestly wouldn't mind getting kissed by Chloe Walsh. I wouldn't care about the consequences. I'd just be mouthing the words "So totally worth it" in a hospital bed."
Funny story Whenever I look that up, I always get "One Winged Angel"... Also I found the REAL song name. It's "Those Chosen by the Planet" from Final Fantasy VII.
I remember the Spiderman fight in the opening sequence (not sure if it was in another video). I was watching my brother play and when the health bars came up, we just looked at each other with that classic "Oh crap, I'm screwed face" but the hit connected and he won and we just laughed.
Easiest boss ever: Monster Party (NES Game) - 2 dancing zombies.... if you wait, they die, and that's the only way to kill them. They do not attack you and can't hurt you. Attacking them resets the time counter it takes for them to die.
I know this video is 2 years old, so I'm pretty sure you already know this, but having the Counter-Steal materia equipped for the Sephiroth fight will make Cloud counter by stealing, and he will still die, despite taking no damage....
People like you just don't get it... The final form isn't SUPPOSED to be a proper fight. It's just supposed to be Cloud beating the shit out of Sephiroth, with the player being able to feel right at home while it's happening. They didn't use an FMV because they had already programmed Omnislash, which looked good enough, and didn't want to make a FMV when they could just do what they did, which was easier. Call it being lazy, but it's what they did.
The one Wing Sissy deserves to be on this list, because regardless of the fight being symbolic the entire game along with everything involving him (even Square Enix writers) does nothing but keep on saying/inplaying that he's "Without Equal" and "Never using his full power". That's either a flat out lie and he's really so weak that Cloud can kill him by just breathing in his direction... Or that Sephy is the laziest antagonist in gaming history since he can never bring himself to putting effort into his fights resulting in Zack, Cloud, and even boring as paste Sora kicking his pretentious, arrogant, over-compensating ass into the lifestream and back. I will take most of this back if Square makes him an actual final boss in the FFVII remake. I want to fight and beat full power Sephiroth as Cloud in FFVII one-on-one without any lifestream power-up bullshit.
There is. In the game Monster Party for the NES. You walk into the bosses room were a huge spider is laying on the ground and he says "sorry im dead." and then a few seconds later he dies...
Funny. I just called a girl on deviantART a perv for suggesting to ride on the BatPole (long story). She answered the EXACT same thing. On the other hand, your icon is appropriate for your comment.
I remember this fight. When I found out that technically that Sephiroth has only one HP I cracked up. one. I laughed so hard when I heard his theme playing in this vid and had to double check the placement you gave him. Brava. XD

He doesn't hate Sepiroth, he hates the battle. I'm no Sepiroth fan (In fact, I have little idea of who Sepiroth is), but you don't have to get so angry about it. Oh, and you have to ram into Bob to defeat him, and that takes effort.
Honestly, the Sephiroth fight was awesome until you find out it's scripted. Then it leaves you feeling kinda empty... It honestly could have been a real boss fight, just really easy, but Square decided to just make it scripted...
Technically, Lanmola's Shadow isn't a separate boss from the others, since the boss is the Nightmares, and that's just a segment of the fight. But it's still easy as hell.
Again, if YOU read my comments, im 17, almost 18, almost got my license, not a kid. So stop being "ignorant" as you say. And heres my list of grown up games: Resident evil, Silent Hill, Sports games, Fallout, Tom Clancy's games, Command and Conquer.
if I remember right, there are only 2 metroid hatchers in the game and they don't respawn. U will only be able do 1 shot the second one if u willingly skip his door which u could enter earlier in the game
I agree with the Sephiroth fight. I tested that out when I was younger and sure enough, it was true. I wasn't...disappointed at the time because I was just 10 or so back then. Looking back on it now, it COULD be worse.
I guess that there are some sephiroth fanboys who say that the battle against Yu Yevon is worse that sephiroth. Well, lets be clear (and before you start attacking me, just know that I haven't played final fantasy 10 but I watched a video instead): Yu Yevon possesses 8 (sort of) monsters making them strong in attack, but leaves them with 1 HP and so easy to kill with 1 hit; after you beat those monsters, the battle with the real Yu Yevon starts, but you don't kill him with 1 hit because every time he regains 9999 HP. In other words, Yu Yevon don't have the standards to be in this top 10 and it's not easy at all (by the way,I may borrow the HD remaster edition of FF X-X2 from a friend to see if it's true)
4 weeks old comment, but yeah. You literally cannot die in the Yu Yevon sequence. When you get to that point after Braska's Final Aeon, your whole party has a permanent auto-life. And even if someone dies, the Auto-Life will still be there. The only way to "lose" at that point is casting Break on yourself. Then Yu Yevon himself? Dies in 1 attack, provided someone can break the damage limit. :)
Don't forget: You can just suck up Waddle Dee! It will take a moment, but you can just eat him and you're good. I do agree that Bob is probably easier than Sephiroth (you can't get hurt by Bob, and it takes a moment), but Seph would be #2. But whatever; I never knew that about Seph! I enjoyed how you used the bosses you couldn't use in the video (Mysterio, etc.). That was a good touch!
Plebs today will never appreciate how special these videos were years ago and how much of a youtube countdown landmark they've become today.
According to DYKG, if you use a Gameshark code to reveal Sephiroth's health, you will get this:
Sephiroth 1/1
There was a picture released from someone with a GameShark, and they found that Sephiroth has only 1 HP. ONE HIT POINT.

D: I've never made someone speechless before! My talents are growing.
I wasn't going to mention it until I saw you including Flash Man from Megaman 2; but I was thinking that Naval Piranha from Yoshis Island could've made the list. Been looking for this video for years nostalgiac as hell
Waddle Dee is so funny, Dedede's desperation caused the funniest mini-boss ever. He even had a boss meter!
The worst thing about Sephiroth being so easy isn't that he's easy. It's that it's the FINAL boss fight, not just some random one.
10:SNAAAAAIL!
9:GOD.
8:Ouchy.
7:What was that?
6:I don't know what to say.
5:Is that a boss?It doesn't look like one.
4:SMASH IT WITH A HAMMA
3:WUSS
2:STILL WUSS
1:You can go eat a hamburguer,he will be dead when you come back.
You're welcome - that Spongebob clip is made of win!
I like when he talks about Sephiroth, he dares us to challenge him and goes to a technical error screen.
a one hit boss that literally a 2 yr old can kill is an easy boss
gj peanut i salute you
My theory about Sephiroth's weakness is that you just stripped him of all of his power, and you're facing his pure soul. Sephiroth is now mortal, and is as strong as any other human.
Old King Coal logic:
Banjo/Kazooie: HAHA! YOU GOT NO LIMBS YOU DUMMY!
Old King Coal: Just a flesh wound
Ha I see what you did there.
Now, we just need a boss that dies once it meets you.
Even if I was a Sepiroth fanboy, the Monty Python reference at the end makes me like this instantaneously :D
Achieving something? What is there to achieve? The PRIMARY GOAL of a video game is to entertain you. There's nothing to achieve. Some games make you feel, some games make you think, some games make you laugh, but their only goal is to entertain you, and nothing else.
Well.. okay, I meant all unavoidable bosses. Ruby and Emerald are a special case.
"The only reason a person wouldn't like Minecraft is lack of creativity."
Or maybe I want to play a game that's actually fun.
Let me put it this way- Sephiroth's TRUE final form comes BEFORE the final duel, as the One-Winged Angel.
In fact, I think that some of OKC's lines may have BEEN Monty Python references themselves. The whole gag of him disregarding the fact that he's falling apart as you kill him is pretty much the same as the Black Knight to King Arthur.
no.1 surprised me, probably because I immediately considered how difficult I found the boss before it.
Monty Python reference. My hat is off to you sir.
Granted this came before "Adventure Time: HIKWYSOG?", because at least Sephiroth can HURT you...Bliblob, however...
If you steal from Sephy, he dies dramatically, he doesn't even bother to call the cops or anything...
In Kingdom Hearts 1, you just fight him in the Coliseum in the hardest challenge. In Kingdom Hearts 2, he plays a bigger role but is still an optional character to fight. In both games, he's the hardest boss in the entire game.
Sephiroth is only easy if you either
a) Are a "Stop Having Fun Guy" who maxed his party members to level 98 for some strange-ass reason
or b) have a ton of Megalixirs and Remedies and use each whenever needed.
This video is a little old. It’s like he’s speed running some of these entries.
Actually I've always thought of it as more of "The REAL final battle" myself.

At the end is a Monty Python and the Holy Grail quote. Joy.
The most proud moment I think I've ever had was beating Sephiroth on KH on Proud difficulty.
I definitely agree with you on this list, Autarch.

He knows that. He meant that theses bosses were SOOOO Easy that Jumping 3 times in regular enemies was easier.
i love your intro, mostly because of the song a despair filled farewell of the shadow of the colossus
Thank you! The other list of easiest bosses you had SUCKED. Glad it was remade

I think tons of people would love to know that spot, cause most people have lots of trouble with that fight
Fun Fact: Sephiroth's attack will always do 31/32 of Cloud's max HP.
So you're saying you're a comedian and none of your videos should be taken seriously? Ok, then I'm not gonna watch your videos. You win.
"It would only be easier if you killed him in one gulp. Which brings us to..." (Expecting Bob the Goldfish)
I am SO glad to see Bob the goldfish on this list :D
Negative Man - Actually attacks. (Only for 1 HP, but still attacks.)

A game made from a series, and popular enough if you named a character, most gamers can go, "OOOOH I LOVE THAT GAME!"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THE MONTY PYTHON REFERENCE AT THE END KILLED ME XDDDD
So hey this is probably the first video i ever saw in the internet and now you're voice acting Caine.
What the fuck
That last joke, was so ******* hilarious
#9, let us not forget metal man HIMSELF takes two hits from metal blades before dying.
i dont know what's worse. sephiroth dying in one hit or the fact he lost to CLOUD
Funny story
Whenever I look that up, I always get "One Winged Angel"...
Also I found the REAL song name. It's "Those Chosen by the Planet" from Final Fantasy VII.
Games he has played guys, dont be surprised if something isnt there.
At the end: "Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... *pant pant* ...Pfffft! Hahahaha!"
I remember the Spiderman fight in the opening sequence (not sure if it was in another video). I was watching my brother play and when the health bars came up, we just looked at each other with that classic "Oh crap, I'm screwed face" but the hit connected and he won and we just laughed.
Damn, these bosses look so easy that they might as well be cutscenes
Easiest boss ever: Monster Party (NES Game) - 2 dancing zombies.... if you wait, they die, and that's the only way to kill them. They do not attack you and can't hurt you. Attacking them resets the time counter it takes for them to die.

Yep, I giggled... Then, laughed real hard. :D
You're making me want to play Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie again.....
Chu uploaded this vid on my birthday, says Le Me.
Bob the Goldfish: Easy. Bob the Goldfish level:Crazy Difficult
Something tells me that the Waddle Dee is more of a Mini-Boss than an actual boss, but that's just me
Kind of ironic how easy Sephiroth is to beat in FF7 but how insanely hard he is to beat in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.
The real challenge with the Golem Overlord is killing it before it runs away :).
lol I like sephiroth, but I totally agree that his shirtless all-in-your head fight deserves that number one spot.
People like you just don't get it...
The final form isn't SUPPOSED to be a proper fight. It's just supposed to be Cloud beating the shit out of Sephiroth, with the player being able to feel right at home while it's happening. "Why troll when trolling is fun?" Does that question really need an answer?
The Wall master from Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.
He can be killed in less than a minute, and all you have to do is drain his glyph.
Hahahaha I loved that scene in the end from Monty Python...it's just a flash wound!
Perfect Monty Python reference!
The worst part about that battle for me was that I treated it like a real battle before I figured out it was a joke.
So much MP wasted...
Funny. I just called a girl on deviantART a perv for suggesting to ride on the BatPole (long story). She answered the EXACT same thing.
On the other hand, your icon is appropriate for your comment.
Cloud N. Candy just took me back about 13 years. That thing really cant kill you at all. Now that invisible boss scared the shit out of me.
He said Sephiroth's fans were "Mama's boys," not Sephiroth himself
I remember this fight. When I found out that technically that Sephiroth has only one HP I cracked up. one. I laughed so hard when I heard his theme playing in this vid and had to double check the placement you gave him. Brava. XD
I'm positive someone has said it already, but I have to satisfy the nerd side of me, you do know that this is in no way supposed to be the challenging part, thats the two forms of sephiroth you fight before this. This fight is just essentially a cut scene like how FF6 had the characters talk and jump around occasionally in battle.
Dude, chill man, I wasn't insulting you, I just felt I had to point out how easy Sephiroth was to beat.
He doesn't hate Sepiroth, he hates the battle. I'm no Sepiroth fan (In fact, I have little idea of who Sepiroth is), but you don't have to get so angry about it. Oh, and you have to ram into Bob to defeat him, and that takes effort.
I guess it's because the fish can actually kill you from summoning stuff and can't kill itself on you.

Making it a trilogy!
I mean, I called you a fail troll and you called me a troll so there's the hierarchy there.
I'm out bro, peace
