It would be an Lt for me....right in the middle. As far as looks the custom/ Lt look better to me...i think most of us just want a regular style truck with a V8, no afm, no bs emissions crap...the only truck left after the Titan is gone is GMs L8T....thats all I'll buy, and will be my last truck
It definitely depends on your need....I bought the 2024 Silverado custom 4x4 double cab ..and have towed my camper ( 5k lb) with it and haven't had any issues. I also drive it 6hrs on the highway and got 23.1 mpg...so I'm pleased

And Ford is doing that to get people to step up to the next trim, that’s a common practice among all companies. It's hard to find any half-ton trucks for under $50k anymore, especially if they're 4x4 unless you want something that's purely a work truck spec. You'd be better off getting a midsize truck if $50k is your budget, but depends your needs I would say.
If you are diligent with watching for deals, interest specials and area good negotiator, you could get an LT for around fifty. Maybe a smidge over, but the LT is a decent trim. Some of the creature comforts without all the extras that Jack up the price. I got my LT Trail Boss Z71 with the Duramax for a hair over 60 with 1.9% interest. I shopped around a lot took my time and waited for the right deal.
Here in Sam Diego, California, the Chevy silverado custom is the most common full-size truck. Being a middle class, i know the reality and all specialty trucks are toys, PERIOD! and I cant risk playing with such an expensive toy nuat to get damaged or worst, be stranded on long trips. I rather get a base custom, (GMC elevation is a nice trim and in the low $40's). With a $30k difference, you could get a 20-foot trailer for less than $18k, some used quads, and jet skis and enjoy life. Here in San Diego, the customs are below $40k and LTs like $45k.
I like like the double cab Custom Chevy. I would like to put something like a lightweight 4 wheel camper on a truck l like this. It seemingly has a good payload that can handle it at 1900 lbs. I learned on Chevy trucks that they have another recommended payload that is in the glove box that is specifically for slide in campers. On a truck like this, it is only about 1000 lbs. which really isn't enough. You have to go with an HD or a regular cab model whose payload for slide in campers is much closer to the actual payload on the door jam. Would be interesting to hear from time to time what the slide in camper recommended payload is from time to time. Chevy doesn't seem to publish this anywhere it appears to be only in the glove box of 1500 trucks.
I have an elevation gmc but regret the 2.7 turbo bad not a fan 8 speed horrible shifts hard down shifts and misses up shifts cold. Want the 10 speed 3.0 duramax next lease
The only thing that makes it better with the ZR two in my opinion is the 3 L Duramax I don’t know if that’s worth 30 grand but it’s a pretty good engine
I got the LT Trail Boss Z71 with the new Duramax LZ0 for a hair over 60 with 1.9% interest. The main difference between mine and the zr2 is the suspension, lockers and aev package. Otherwise it's almost identical. The LT doesn't have ventilated seats though. Shucks😂
